If Injustice 2 didn't do PC, I can't see why they'd do Switch
i don't know what the crossover is between MK and IJ players, but they burnt a lot of bridges with the shoddy MKX port.

Doesn't hurt to try again and regain trust, but i'd wager WB's execs aren't familiar with gaming culture and are only interested in making a quick buck.

Am i the only one who thinks SFV is a better looking game than injustice2? I am talking from design and art direction and how fluid the animations look while playing.

Judging by all art direction/design? They both have their fair share of ugly. Animation? Capcom shits on NRS from the highest of branches. As a result I vastly prefer watching and playing SF V. I don't think Injustice 2 is so far advanced that an argument can't be made that SF V is the overall better looking game.

Tekken 7 destroys them both.

I don't think Tekken 7 has better animation. It's very good but not better (and a lot of it is recycled which is perfectly fine).

Injustice 2 looks better in screenshots, SFV looks better in video.

As much as it's getting savaged in reviews, I highly doubt it would outsell SFV.

Though that would be pretty fucking hilarious if it happens, LMAO

TBH I have NO idea who USFII is for or why it exists. I'm convinced it's just a moneyhatted title to pad out the number of titles for the Switch and be the classic "look! we convinced third parties to commit! they love Switch!" we get every go around from Nintendo.

how do I slip unnoticed out of a gloryhole booth?
usf2 is for 30+ year old impulse buyers who remember playing sf2 when they were young and are looking for some games for their new game console. shout out to capcom if they manage to milk any decent change out of them, i guess, but i dont think it runs particularly deep.

Yah pretty much how I saw it so not sure why people are surprised about it. The only shocking thing about it is the asking price is way too much. I'm sure for like 20 bucks it would have gotten lukewarm but ok reviews which wouldn't bash its price.

Switch fanboys clamoring and begging for ports/rereleases of older games so they have something other than Zelda to play on it.

Same story, different era.

Because they're too lazy to make an SF collection the series deserves for its 30th anniversary and give us arcade perfect SFA2 on PS4 with online support

I don't get it. It's not like USF2 is going to be a part of the CPT. It's not even in the Evo lineup.

What's going on?
It's a cash grab on a game starved new platform doubling as a nostalgia cash grab of Ninty fanboys who remember playing SF2 back in the SNES days. Nothing new to see here, has been done before.

There's nothing to get about it.

Nintendo always has more than Zelda to play. Wii U had a ton of great games for example. Not a lot of third party mind you but its one of the best lineups I've seen in awhile and considering the low install base that many million sellers is an insane testiment to how good the titles on it were. After all the X1 is game starved and its not like its hitting that milestone much with its higher install base. Nintendo outdid themselves on the first party quality on that thing. Shame the system sold poor. But hey, they salvaged Bayo for yall so at least the 3rd party they brought was pretty much the big one.

I can't wait to see just what comes to that console. I'd flip out if Nintendo salvaged Darkstalkers or something as an exclusive new title shades of what Sony did with SFV. Pipe dream but an exclusive sequel to a fighter for Switch in a series thats non first party would be badass. Microsoft got KI, Sony got SF, Nintendo has Smash/Pokken/Arms so far but I'd like to see a 3rd party added.

On a different note I just found out my NES30 pro controllers I posted last page have PS3 firmware that lets me use them on that stuff as well as firmware that lets me play touchscreen games using them instead! Time to go back and play some more titles on these. The buttons feel great and those sticks are amazing. Really amazing how well the triggers are placed. Due to the switches used you dont have to worry bout accidental trigger presses of L1/R1 while resting your fingers on the L2/R2 triggers that are next to them. In fact I can use triggers FASTER this way than normal because I use finger tips for L2/R2 and straighten my fingers to press the L1/R1 instead of having to swap positions like I thought I would. It honestly feels more natural than the layout of triggers on the PS3 I'm used to since I generally still use the same finger on both triggers and have to move that finger up or down to hit the other trigger on that side. These things are sweet.

BOWT on Cemu with updated visuals.

My handheld days are over unless I can get it to run on my phone. The extent right now being Dolphin.

Fighting games really are niche. Injustice was top 3 viewing on Twitch launch week. Just a week and so after and it's not even top 20. The best selling fighting game is nothing compared to other genre. The typical shooters and moobas dominating.

Speaking of. Injustice casuals at Combobreaker hotel. https://www.twitch.tv/streamofthehut

Most likely popular variety streamers hoping on the bandwagon, then leaving after they're done story mode. It's nice for launch exposure, but it almost always tanks after a short period.

For every Bayonetta that Nintendo manages to get on their system, there are about 20 other 3rd party games on other consoles that people can be playing instead. A first party library alone doesn't save a console, this has been shown time and time again in history.

The whole USF2 and now MHXX is just endemic of the whole problem with Nintendo consoles.

Also Capom promised a big IP release in fiscal year. It's either MH5 or DMC5. Wouldn't be surprised if either of these games is not on Switch.

I bought KOF14 steam to support SNK but it's looking like the game might be doa

there's just no interest in it from what i'm seeing on my facebook/twitter TL. tried to get a few of my frieds to pick it up but they said it was too expensive or that they had their hands full with sfv already

You can't play those games on a handheld tho

A first party library alone can't save a system, but a gimmick most certainly can, and its a gimmick that both casual and hardcore gamers approve of. The Switch might finally lift the 3rd party curse that's been on Ninty since the N64 era.

China and Mexico got your back

RE7 was actually underwhelming to Capcom sales wise. I now sorta expect them to be even stingier than before.

I actually still need to get it. I want to experience first in VR, so it might take me a while to grab a PSVR first, unless there some PC VR compatibility that ends up better.

Anyone eventually getting Revelator 2? I can play this weekend if anyone wants to add me, PSN: GiygasXLR. I'll also play people on steam, because I have more money than sense and double dip on videogames.

I'm down to play most fighting games though (except Injustice 2 and Smash), since Evo is around the corner. So hit me up if anyone want some games in.

The only sets I am able to get in with the game is honestly just searching for lobbies or asking people on sites for matches. steam: simsiriphanh if you ever feeling like getting some matches in. Just add me as a friend and send a message anytime.

Had sort of a funny moment/realization at work yesterday; I've been really looking forward to Tekken 7 but was already worried about having the time to play it with work. I found out yesterday that my work schedule is changing a bit to be even longer, so now I'll be waking up at 4:30am and by the time I get home, make dinner/take care of cats etc it'll be 5:30 or later easy. As I'm finding this out in the back of my head all I'm thinking is "Man no time to play Tekken because I'm too busy working....this means I really AM a Tekken player now!"
