Glad it's a false alarm, but lmao at the people in this thread who don't know that Wonder Woman is probably the closest to bloodthirsty in the Justice League.

Pretty much. If anybody could benefit from an R rating it would be WW. She has no issues shedding blood if needed.

Maybe if you read Geoff Johns' run of JL where she was written atrociously.

Just because she doesn't have a strict killcode ala Batman doesn't make her the 'closest to bloodthirsty'. Her killing Maxwell Lord in The Omac Project was completely justified imo, and was clearly the very last resort she had, but that alone doesn't mean that she's more prone to violence.

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Whens the Lego Wonder Woman movie then to show up TEH GRITTY version and actually appeal to a market her ridiculous costume isn't so ridiculous to.

What the hell are they doing over there? Announcing you are getting the bootleg cut in theaters before the movie even gets there? Are they going to repeat BvS and release deleted scenes on youtube the day before release?

Seems like this is a common trend now with the DCEU movies. Always wait for the R-rated version instead.

This is why OPs should be allowed to change titles.

I am unsure of which episode it is but Christopher Drake, the composer of some of the WB animated films, mentioned there was an R rated version of Wonder Woman. And that it was pretty amazing.

Either way I am looking forward to this.

I mean I could easily see how the animated movie could get an R-rating with even just seconds of additional footage... especially that final battle.

so erm............Tampons confirmed?

I kid....but in DC Comics, WW is pretty violent if you ask me.

I mean it really depends on the story and whose writing it. Like the version of her in Trinity, SS vs. Justice League and from what I've read of the WW solo. She isn't really that violent. She's more likely to use her bracers or lasso.

Closest to bloodthirsty doesn't mean she's bloodthirsty. I never once said she'll go around slicing and dicing like Wolverine. However, compared to the current Jl line up (especially in terms of comics) she is the most likely to kill an enemy. Like you said, she does it as a last resort, but the way some people assume her to (female Superman with Batman's code) isn't true to her comic book character. I like to think of her closer to Cap (post-WW2 soldier) where he doesn't kill unless it's absolutely necessary). (I suppose a lot of hero's are like that, including Superman).

Well, technically Wonder Woman is quite bloodthirsty but those bracelets she wears keep the hunger for blood at bay. With them off she will gradually lose her morality and her power increases.

So just as an update, the listing was for the animated version... they thought time would change standards so dumped the R-Rated version and just re-releasing the original

The first cut of the 2009 straight-to-home release “Wonder Woman” animated feature received an R-rating from the MPAA, according to producer Bruce Timm in interviews at the time of release. As the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment representative explained to CBR, the re-release was originally intended to restore the original footage, in hopes standards had changed and it could still receive a PG-13 — since it again received an R, the current plans are for the new version to be of the originally released PG-13 cut, excluding the added footage.

Oh so its OK to show all the violence and gore in Flashpoint and still get a PG 13 but not Wonder Woman? The double standard is real. Why should myself and others re-buy a movie we already own? This is a waste of a release imo, why not just make a new movie and bump the umpteenth new Batman release to next years calendar.

I remember being pretty surprised that Flashpoint managed a PG-13 after they showed someone being shot in the head and positioning the camera so you could see though the bullet hole.

If it's anything like Batman v Superman it will be CGI blood spurts during fighting scenes. Nothing to get excited about

It is damn weird that Flashpoint is PG-13 and the animated Wonder Woman is now Rated R.

Like, there are a couple surprisingly dark visuals in Wonder Woman, but Flashpoint is brutal.
