Is it really?

I hear great things about the DC animated flicks, but then I watch them and the voice acting is poor and the writing is terrible.

There's really only a handful of them, in a sea of films, that are actually really good.

This one's good, not top tier (i.e. Flashpoint / Dark Knight Returns), but good. Definitely better than what they've put out the last two years.

Right, but if we're talking the worst thing to ever happen to the character, i'd say his incarnation of the character takes the cake with how horribly written a straw woman he makes her.
