Worst expansion pack or DLC campaign for a good game?

We've all probably been burned once. What are your least favourite expansion or substantial piece of DLC content to a game you actually like?

Mine is Freespace: The Silent Threat. The first Freespace was a very good space combat game and a promising first try, and the 2nd game is a classic. Sandwiched between them is a expansion pack for the first game which is a total mess, what's with mission design that is either insultingly simplistic or repetitive and dull, marginal new content, and a threadbare, incoherent plot.

Silent Threat was so bad that the developers of the Freespace 2 open engine didn't even bother to officialy port it to the engine as they had done with the first game, and instead made a full-on remake of it. It's not perfect, but it's a massive improvement over its source of inspiration and one of the few times in media history someone can uncontroversially claim a fanfiction is "better than canon".

So, yeah, what are your least favorite expansions?

Season pass for The Division is still the most disappointing expansion purchase I've made for a game I thoroughly enjoyed otherwise.

Fire Emblem Awakening 90% of the DLC was terrible.

The Kid's DLC was actually pretty good.tho, Would actually like an entire game about that

I thought the Lords of Shadow DLC was shit only because the production values where bad and not as good as the main game. Cut scenes where comic book style and locations where reused.

Let's cover our bases here. Oblivion's Horse Armor. The DLC that changed everything. It is the prime evil, and none should forget its sin.

Arrival for Mass Effect 2 was kinda flavorless. It's not BAD or anything, and it's still a good idea to play it as it bridges the gap between ME2 and ME3 more coherently than the base games do, but it is kind of insipid compared to the other DLC and the base game.

Arkham City's 'Harley Quinn's Revenge' DLC, maybe.
That one was mostly given away as a pre-order bonus, so I find it hard to complain about. It's terrible, but didn't cost me anything, so...

With the sole exception of the Christmas special, all of the Saints Row 3 & 4 DLC was terrible. Borderline unplayable. Which is a shame, because the comedic nature of that series makes it perfect for short-form storytelling.

Horse Armor DLC actually all Oblivion's DLC except Shivering Isles and Knights of the knight, oh Mehrune's Razor too.

Fire Emblems stuff has been terrible for the most part. What's more terrible is all the DLC is out by the time the English version comes out, and you would think it would be all packaged into the game for the west, but nope.

I don't know about worst but Arkham Knight had some festering piles of shit for DLC and if I hadn't bought the GOTY edition for cheap I would have been really mad paying individually for any of those.

The batgirl one was okay, I guess, along with Mr. Freeze. Others, like Harley's were embarassingly short and boring.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare. They took the Groundhog Day concept and managed to not have any of the things that make that enjoyable.

The Arkham Knight Season Pass was a total of about 2-3 hours of gameplay for me. I didn't pay full price for it but if I did I would be kind of upset at the lack of content.

I'm just gonna say that after all the previous new DLC characters bringing hype, the elaborate smash poll and all that to have that one Nintendo Direct for the last SSB4 characters kickoff with Corrin was just deflating as heck.
Granted the character plays fine but I stand by it being bad because upon actually playing FE Fates (notably Conquest) you find out that Corrin is one of the worst actual characters in a Nintendo game.

Since everyone is mentioning the Modern Batman games, should I assume that Arkham Knight also bungled its DLC? because I may nab it on sale at some point and as such the premium version may not even be worth the extra £5.

Yeah, it's not a good game except for the mechanics being improved.

I kinda like good games having the worst DLC because it usually means the base game is actually their mostly complete offering to gamers. Don't miss anything not buying DLC expansions in Arkham games for example and thanks for that devs. Also, never buy blind.

No one said the Bioshock Infinite DLC yet. lol
Even if I hated where they took the story I don't think it was a waste of my money. The clash in the clouds DLC was the only place the combat really worked, as well.

As for my picks, some of the Halo 4 map packs might count just because it was hard to actually play them in matchmaking.

But probably my overall pick is all of the Goat Simulator DLC. A fun novelty concept run into the ground with every broken add-on.

Corrin is kinda bland in Fates, but at least their playstyle in SSB4 is pretty damn fun.

Which is more than I can say for Roy. What a pointless addition to the roster.

I read that Prince of Persia 2008 - new art style one had DLC which was for the cliff hanger ending of the main game, that sounds terrible. Buy DLC to see the ending. I played the game and certainly didn't bother buying it.

My reaction: "Wait, who? Oh, some other dude from Fire Emblem. Meh."

Alien Isolation's DLC wasn't great. Crew Expendable had the novelty of some of the original cast being involved, but the rest was pretty mediocre overall.

If you're referring to Clash in the Clouds, I agree.

Burial at Sea was better than the main game, although still not brilliant.
