What happened to wrestling

Do any of the wrestling characters have magic powers? Like is there a guy who's invulnerable to damage unless his amulet is stolen? Or a chimera who stalks the ring?

One guy burned the rocking chair that a cult leader character believed housed the ghost of his dead sister, and was maybe the source of his powers.

This guy also made a tv explode in someone's hands, and projected images of maggots and worms onto the ring.

This guy always loses.

Googling this and I see a man with a sheep's head. Is wrestling actually good?

Kinda. Mil Muertes is a man of a thousand deaths and he gets stronger with this stone his girlfriend that likes licking people carries around. Also when he dies and gets brought back to life, his eye color changes.

And Drago is not really a chimera. He's an actual dragon from the dragon tribe. He also has nunchucks sometimes.

Seriously, everybody should check out Lucha Underground if they have the slightest interest in wrestling. They shoot it like a TV show and the 2nd half of season 3 is just about to start.

WWE? Not really anymore. However, Lucha Underground is very entertaining (both story and athleticism) and is set up like an actual TV drama and has seasons unlike WWE which just goes on forever and ever. S1 of Lucha is on Netflix, possibly S2 as well.

Don't remind me

NXT though. Fucking Bate vs Dunne, jesus.

Back when I was following WWE regularly it was tough enough just to watch 3 hours of Raw every week, would end up just reading/watching recaps of Smackdown and skipping everything else; though I've always heard good things about NXT.

That post is disheartening to me.

Me, as a random guy, doesn't have an out of body experience whenever a game I've been wanting for years is announced at E3. Sure I am initially excited whenever it's announced, but I knew instantly that whenever FF7 and Shenmue was announced it was going to be years before I'll get to play it. Same thing applies for any game that doesn't even have a launch month, or any mentioning of a launch window at all. I mean it came out recently that FF7 Remake was just beginning development or something of the sort. And what, it was announced at E3 two years ago? Why start shouting and screaming that a game is announced when you just know in the back of your mind it's going to be minimum two years before you get to play it?

Also Jeff and most the other guys have been in the industry for years and years. They know better and have experienced tons of game announcements, cancellations, and delays.

It is still tough to watch three hours of RAW. I watch RAW and Smackdown every week, and 90% of the time RAW is just on mute (my TV is directly above my computer monitor so it's easy to keep an eye on it if something crazy happens, in which case I'll rewind and unmute). Smackdown is the same for a lot of parts.

NXT is consistently putting up top quality matches. Meltzer gave TakeOver Chicago three 4.25* or higher matches. His word isn't gospel but if you see he rates multiple matches that high in one show, they're doing something right.

The notion that someone sat down to watch a good ol' game of Giant Bomb plays Mario Party because they're a fan of Mario Party is hilarious to me.

Breath of the Wild seems like the kind of game I will slowly pick at for months and months but totally isnt the kind of game I can see myself playing in long sessions over a weekend.

Its just light enough in its mechanics and story that its probably super easy to put down and come back to in a few weeks. Thats not a bad thing. I remember taking a break in the middle for my 80 hour Witcher 3 run and it took a while to get back into the groove.

Also I dont hate the Joy Con grip and I have long as fuck fingers. So yay? Its not a "real" controller thats for sure. No d-pad was a bad move but I dont hate it like most people and dont feel a need to run out and buy a pro controller.

Agree on all points. I'm playing it very casually, which is weird for a 3D Zelda.

I'm hoping Nier grabs me more.
