Like in the bundle that is going right now? Might jump on that if so.
Edit: Last months.. oh well.
Still, worth the current asking price.

Game is really good. Starts off far too slow though in the campaign so make sure you stick it out for a while.
What is the best thing to spend money on to begin with?
first impressions are good
How're you finding the controls?
I've also really liked what I've played of the game, just wish I gave more time to it.
Yep, game is brutally unforgiving when bombs are on the field. Bombuchas in particular will end your runs instantly if you can't keep them under control.TFW 30+ million in funeral costs because you didn't notice the BOMBUCHA at the spaceport
Really hope support comes and they can add more to the game. A chrome hounds or versus like mp mode would be neat.
Buying Thursday on payday.
Yeah, the rogue like element alone is all I need. There's already a ton in the game. It'll take you a while to get through it.

The same thing goes for heavy artillery, mind you. Those slow-ass projectiles aren't just for show.
Come to think of it, I wonder if they've done anything to the infamous level where you have to dodge Bombuchas to get your ammo or find an alternative way to kill the target...
Had put some time into this before, but started playing it again thanks to the upgrade, and it definitely clicked this time with me. The environmental destruction is so so satisfying. There's nothing more gratifying than shooting a weapon that tears through an entire row of house in a single shot, leaving debris and flying shrapnel in its wake, or unleashing dual machine guns in a sweeping arc that shreds everything
It's a game I didn't even know I wanted. Like, I don't have much experience with isometric shooters. The most I've ever done is messed around with the Postal demo for a while. Looking forward to digging in to it some more.
Yep! The variety is incredible, easily comparable (if not superior) to what you'd see in, say, a Battletech game. There's no chaff at all - since the game eschews normal progression systems in lieu of just unlocking stuff, everything has its own niche and role to play. There's a ridiculous amount of machine, primary and secondary weapon combinations. There feels like negligible to no overlap. You can go MGs to shred, howitzer + long-range rifle to clear terrain before getting accurate...it's just a question of experimenting and going with what works for you. Heavy treads, big leg units, swift AGs, nimble battlesuits and bonsai walkers...all fun to experiment with. Freelance is mechanised Spelunky.
Good news so far: the game's ownership according to Steamspy has shot up over five times the amount it had before the relaunch as of June 4th. Pretty positive news, and possibly the break the dev team really needs at this point. I hope it just keeps on rising!
How much do they get from Humble though? Owners numbers going up is good, but I fear they're not making revenue equivalent to that due to the sales and being part of Humble MonthlyGood news so far: the game's ownership according to Steamspy has shot up over five times the amount it had before the relaunch as of June 4th. The audiobook that comes with the deluxe edition is a lot of dumb fun. Ryan Cooper's voice is sex.
I told you this months ago in that Strike games thread you madeThis game is really dope. I've got about 3 hours in and am having a blast.
Definitely feels like a spiritual successor to the old Strike games which I loved.

Just picked this up, pretty damn interesting, the controls... less so. which control scheme are you guys finding the most user friendly?
Quick note that once you're comfortable with the controls, up the game speed to 100% - commit war crimes at maximum efficiency
