It all sounds great but let's be honest - all of it hinges on good combat. It simply must be great or the whole game will fall apart...

No Co-Op mode... what a bummer. Easily the best addition ever to the AC franchise + Watch_Dogs 2 has it too so double disappointment.

I see your point, but they really need to deliver on the single player.
AC hasn't been able to really deliver since Brohood (ok, maybe 4, since it's the 1 i didn't play).
Even Syndicate, which was very good, wasn't really very ambitious and up to the standards and expectations the series rode on before.

They really need to reinvent the formula in a convincing way, before "wasting" time with side stuff like multiplayer and coop.

On paper it has everything that could make it a milestone in open-world game design, at least for Ubisot open worlds. They took the time to make a soft reboot, the first one of the game.

Glad it's October 27 and not late November!

I have a theory that the "all AC games play the same" crowd extended to them actually attempting to play the games the exact same way, i.e. still constantly holding RT+A

So they are the reason why the gameplay stays conservative haha.

That's your opinion and you should express it as a personnal judgement, not an universal and definitive truth.

Sounds much more interesting than previous entries, but it all hinges on how good the combat is. If it's just as tedious/brainless as the rest of the series I doubt I'll enjoy it.

I hope they reboot the story tbh. There are so many AC I didn't play and never will, I'm completely lost at this point when it comes to the story of these games.

This one sounds amazing tho.

We'll, this sounds interesting, kinda. Will wait and see at E3 but I was kind of hoping for Syndicate but just enhanced graphics and true multiplayer.

I really do hope we get a Syndicate 2. The game was bloody amazing at what it offered.

I've only played Black Flag. I liked it, but this AC seems to go well beyond that.

Man, after this E3 is over there will be way too many games I want to play.

Finally got a chance to catch up on the further details that got revealed.

Climbing and traversal is my favorite part of AC games, so climbing everything sounds perfect. Combine that with leveling and light RPG elements, this is shaping up to be a nice return after a year off.

No minimap but a elder scrolls type compass at top

oh fuck off with this shit. Why can't it ever be elder scrolls type well structured quests? No, no gotta follow that needle braindead. Don't look at the world just run straight in the direction of the needle.

This sounds pretty interesting. Think I'll have to keep my eye on this closer to release.

Seems like they have added a little more difficulty and challenge with some of the changes.

Any chances there's actual platforming on this? Like, an option not to have the character do everything for you while you hold down R1. That's my biggest issue with these games. Like please just give me the chance of pressing a button for jumping wherever I want, god.

Anyways looks nice, let's hope they're done with shitty DLC practi...

Nvm bye! Waiting for the Super Deluxe GOTY Edition next year.

Played every game in the series until Unity hit.
Couldn't finish it and haven't been interested in Syndicate at all.

Very interested with how this game is starting to look, and also knowing Ashraf Ismail
is behind it.
Removal of sprint and climb buttons seem weird for me though.

I played all the ezio trilogy, tried to play 3 but it was an unoptimized mess. It is worthy to play it to give a closure to the desmond saga?

Also, are Unity and Syndicate worthy? Im interested on the french revolution setting but don't know if the gameplay is there. also, I hope that those games aren't directly connected like the desmond saga

Origins sounds cool though

Mini map is way more brain dead than a compass. A map will trace the exact path you need to take, including the route you should use past obstacles or structures in your way. A compass only tells you the direction you go, but doesn't tell you how to get there.
