So Anthem is just another shitty multiplayer looter shooter with basically no story. Not surprising, it's the natural next step for Bioware since they've been making shit RPGs with no story any ways for a few years now.

I give MS a C+ for a conference. Lots of games, can't argue with that. Not a lot that did it for me. Literally no excitement for Xbox but it was a great PC gaming show.

Anthem, the possibility of having Panzer Dragoon Orta and Crazy Taxi 3 among OG Xbox games playable again, and Cuphead are my big takeaways from the conference. Pretty decent but yeah, the vast majority of games weren't my cup of tea however unlike most of GAF I recognize my tastes don't represent the majority.

they showed a lot of stuff. Second half was much better than the first half. Not sure if they sold any One X's but eh I never cared about that...just here for the games. So they had some cool ass shit on that regard.

Not bad at all, but the lack of impressive looking first party exclusives is killing them, and the mixed message of 'Buy a new system for 500 bucks for graphics' and then 'check out all these indie games' doesn't help.

But as a show, it was fast-paced and all about the games. I thought they did very well and absolutely killed whatever it was EA did yesterday.

Where was MS first party at lol. Forza, Crackdown, Sea of Thieves? One of those was a new announcement. It was a 3rd party fest. And showed no need to own an Xbox if you have a real good PC, which I'm quite happy about tbh.

Why should a Playstation 4 (Pro) or XBox One owner buy a Xbox One X, especially for that price. The power of this machine doesn't justify this.

Four years ago at the start of an new generation 499$ was beyon idiotic. I can't believe they pull it off again.

Anthem looks absolutely awesome btw

The Xbox One X is designed for people who want actual 4K gaming but don't have the budget, or want the potential hassle, of building a 4K gaming PC. If this thing can really do what they say it can, you cannot get that experience for $500 on PC and the Pro cannot do actual 4K. There's nothing else like it on the market for that price.

Now the question on whether or not there's a big enough market of people like that to justify it's existence at $500? Well that remains to be seen.

- assassins creed looked good for a short time but the combat killed it for me (still may check it out).
- anthem looked good but its dissapointing that bioware does not make rpgs anymore.

I like that they are focusing on more games, but it seems like they're focusing on quantity rather than quality presentations. Doesn't help that they're longer features are on stuff we've seen a lot of at this point.

An ok conference overall. They needed to show more excursive new IP's and some more reasons for owning an X1X. Price point is steep.

Metro was a great surise and I liked what I saw from State of Decay.

I think that was an absolutely terrible conference. Lots of "exclusives" but Microsoft had pretty much nothing new to show themselves, beyond a small amount of gameplay from already announced games. The One X being $499 is pretty bad, as well.

Assassins creed, Metro and Anthem all look pretty interesting though.

Also, the Mixer site said it would be announced during the stream the games that would be given away, did i miss that?
