That was not Life is Strange 2, the one shown today is a prequel and is not even being made by the same developers that did the original one. Life is Strange 2 is going to be made by the same team that did the 1st one but thats not the one that appeared today.

Oh, didn't know that, still looking forward to it, but killed my hype a little. Was wondering how they are going to have 2 games coming out soon despite being a pretty small studio, that explains it, thanks for the info.

just copy paste that phil, you're welcome.

Haha, that's exactly what he would have written.

I don't want to zone it down scritcly to new exclusives. All I did was replying to a post saying "nice mix of exclusives, timed exclusives,"

I too am excited for Crackdown and Sea of Thieves. Since E3 2015 infact ...

Sorry you specifically asked for new exclusives so I thought that's what you meant. My whole quote included timed exclusives, exclusives, and multiplatform games. Considering everything shown, I thought it was a nice mix. We had shooters, MMO, fighter, platformer (which was meh IMO), racer, action, open world (multiple types) shared world, indie, etc. If that doesn't count as a nice mix, I don't know what is.

Sony literally only needs to announce 1 big new title and an indie to match what MS showed as new. In terms of existing games showing again, Sony easily have the likes of Sea of Thieves, Cuphead and Crackdown covered

Nintendo just need to announce Metroid Prime 4 to wipe out everyone else

Wasn't mind blowing. Just solid. It feels weird because they didn't have a halo or gears. I just wish Ceackdown would've had a better showing. Still there day 1 tho. Day one for all the below games

- PUBG
-Crackdown
- Anthem
- DBZ

That being said, I don't really need an X

I enjoyed seeing lots of games but exclusives, Sea of Theives looked neat, Ori, wowza. Did not give a crap about any others. 3rd party, yeah, it's 3rd party and there was some great stuff there. 499, lol.

C because it was lots of games
D for Microsoft themselves.

I don't know why the price is an issue if PS4 Pro and PSVR are expensive too. That's also considering they're sold to people who owned a PS4 prior.

It was a decent show. I really really wish I could make a game like Cuphead.

Conference wasn't too hot. I really wanted to see more of Tacoma and Ori 2. OG Xbox back compat is awesome. Crackdown 3 showing was dissappointing. Metro and AC Origins looked fun but I might wait for sales on those. Sea of Thieves looked interesting for an MMO, but who knows how deep the game is.

6.5/10

Lots of games but the lack of new AAA IP (especially 1st party) and how none of the games except Anthem and Forza really sold me on the hardware which was the focus of the whole conference.

I've been an Xbox supporter for a few years now, but that was terrible. I thought the Switch I just bought would be a tertiary platform, but it looks like it will be playing second fiddle only to my PC.

The only game that really impressed me was Forza 7.

Conference for me was 5/10 overall.

Microsoft messed up their big chance to do something great with pricing.

Scorpio / Xbox One X with the specs it has, coming out 12 months after PS4 Pro and $100 more does not impress anyone.

Mark my words.

Xbox brand will quit after one generation. This just not works.

You have to make feel your own community 'special'.

Windows 10 & Pc & Xbox One integration was very very bad idea, i don't know who planned, thought or did this, but this is ridiculous, and getting xbox one to end.

God, I miss 2005's. Where Xbox 360 dominated.

Was a really solid showing. I don't think they did a very good job of selling me on the Scorpio (I will forever call it Scorpio) and the $499 price tag makes it even less enticing for me personally, but they showed a lot of games and had a really strong indie push. I wanna play a lot of that stuff, and I will on either PC or an S.

The esports guy screaming was definitely the highlight of the show.

Xbox X had so much hype behind it and they did not sell it at all. I was ready to splurge and sell my current xbox. I'm gonna pass on that without question. There is no reason to upgrade.

I'm not excited about the price. I will still upgrade. Speaking of price, I'm most excited for Life is Strange. Made me nearly tear up. Anthem looks awesome. Assassins Creed looks cool. OG Xbox backwards compatability is huge. Overall underwhelming show.

I don't really know if this was downright bad or if the effect is exaggerated because I had high hopes for this. Ideally they would have showcased the gap between their "monster" system and the competition with some pretty visuals, but that never happened. There was no big exciting reveals in terms of exclusives, and the known ones they did show were pretty underwhelming (especially Crackdown 3 which seems to have gotten a downgrade).

They could have relied on big 3rd party reveals with some surprises which is what I though as they started off with the Metro Exodus reveal, but that quickly went downhill with the games shown afterward. The Anthem gameplay demo was probably their highlight, but that game was revealed yesterday so we all knew it was coming.

The best moments for me were the indies. Ashen, The Last Night, Life is Strange and some others only shown quickly in the montage, but none of those are big Scorpio sellers. Then to top it off they go and, in a way, play it safe with the price when everybody was expecting them to be more aggressive.

The problem with the conference is not that it's bad in the general sense. Any other year this would have been fine. The problem is this was supposed to be the E3 in which MS went straight for the crown, their own year of dreams, and they completely missed the mark.

Microsoft is really bad at this whole E3 hype thing. This makes like, the third E3 in a row without a proper megaton. If you can't make people lose their shit you failed. Is this really the best you've got? This was so very unimpressive.

Has the State of Decay 2 trailer finished yet? This conference overall was a C- to me. There was a lot of games, some looked good, some looked GREAT and some didn't. But the way the games were presented was so uneven. Some of the live demos/trailers went on for way too long, it was unclear what was exclusive and what wasn't and the pacing was all over the place. I have no idea why they always have to unveil a car with every Forza announcement but it didn't help the presentation of the game at all. Overall, the whole conference felt very stiff and corporate, nothing felt natural and there was none of the personality or passion that would make these events interesting. Even the fans chanting sounded like they were told to by a producer (though this is not something exclusive to Microsoft!). And the final $499 sealed it as an underwhelming conference. But it shouldn't be! The games themselves looked mostly solid and there was a fair bit of diversity across all of the presentations. It just didn't work for me.

That said, Crackdown 3 looks TERRIBLE! What the hell happened? What even is it? An open world sandbox? A co-op mission based shooter? Microsoft really dropped the ball here.

Also RIP BELOW :(

Pretty good show from Microsoft, one of their better ones. Games, games, games from the start, and finally a year with no Halo and Gears. Metro looked incredible.

I came away from this with more XBO games I'm looking forward to than in recent memory, which is good because I barely play anything on that console. Looking forward to checking out Tacoma and Cuphead (finally) in the next few months.

I probably won't get an XBOX this holiday. $499 is pretty steep, I still need to get a 4KTV and a new receiver, and those will probably be my big purchases for the year. I probably should start taking full advantage of the PS4 Pro before getting a 2nd 4K console...

Good conference and a good solid lineup of games.

Seems you missed the point. People are critiquing lack of true exclusives. I just noted one (of a decent number) true AAA exclusive Sony can show. It doesn't matter it's already announced it's still more of a draw as an exclusive.

Since when does Forza, Sea of Thieves, or Crackdown not count as AAA? I get what you're saying but that's all subjective. I'm more excited for Crackdown, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay 2 than many other games because I'm a co-op whore.

If "true" exclusives are only on a console then people should learn that is not what MS is doing. They have two platforms to support and they don't strictly overlap for a lot of people. Of my circle of friends, I'm the only one that games on PC, the rest are happy enough with the Xbox. There are plenty of people like this where a PC version is irrelevant.

Ryan McCaffrey, love the dude but he is definitely an Xbox fanboy, looked seriously disappointed and seemed to struggle to find things to praise and didn't immediately call it a good show. That should say everything you need to know.

The conference itself was good, but they did a bad job of selling their new console. Way to many stylized or graphically non intensive games to do that. So mission failed on that front.

Live with Keighley showed the Twitter hype meter at 57% for the X reveal.

10% for Sea of Thieves :(

7% for Forza 7

None for Anthem

that's just sad....

Metro/Ori 2/Anthem were the highlights of the show. A few indie titles looked pretty cool but I forgot their names already. And they didn't demonstrate any XB1 games running/looking better on XB1X. That's something that I was really looking forward to.
