MHXX is an expansion to Generations, which already underperformed in Japan so maybe they don't have much faith in it over here.

It is shitty though. I was looking forward to the localisation. I'll have to import it now.

Yeah it's like, Capcom is looking for a wider audience, are they really interested in MH? Hardcore fans of the series might be turned off hardcore by their attempts at changing the formula

It sucks but Nintendo needs to step in and foot the bill, I think the game would do really well while the switch software is still in its infancy.

No. We are not getting XX at all. The 3DS game coming this year is Stories, a turn based RPG.

I love MH but I'm out. No World for me. I am not going to give 90 fucking dollars to a company that doesn't respect it's fans enough to localize a game that is already half done and has 0% chance of losing money.

the sad point, after cultivating a base for the games in the west they plan to hit the reset button and MHW isn't a shoe in for any level of success...

I was probably gonna buy both. I may not buy World simply because I prefer portability right now.

Previous thread, the 4chan guy showed up with more news about Monster Hunter and that MHXX won't be getting localized. Some in the thread were told not to believe it because of a couple of dumb parts in the persons previous rumors on MH. Ignoring the consistency of the parts that have been 100% correct.

Here we are now with that 4chan guy correct again that it's not being localized.

I wonder if Capcom will be around at the end of this gen. I'm sure they ran the numbers on this and thought it was a good idea, but all of their decisions seem bad, MvC:I is getting destroyed, etc. They just seem like a dead publisher walking.

It was more like when Portable 3rd never got localized.

Your scenario would be Switch owners portbegging for Monster Hunter World.

Capcom cannot afford to bring XX to the West. The Company is already on life support when they cannot even fund their own games and need companies like Sony to step in to ensure major Franchises like Street Fighter get made.

Capcom is betting the house on Monster Hunter in the west chasing after consoles. A Handheld game is direct competition to the console game.

MHX was localized right? I'm curious how much additional text there is in MHXX that this could be an issue for them...

Is the gameplan behind this to only allow one type of Monster Hunter in the west? That makes no sense. Capcom is out of their minds.

Every time I get comfortable and expect a localization they pull this shit.

At the very least the series getting worldwide releases starting at World onward should stop this from happening again in the future.
