Yea I'm really skeptical that he is in their DLC plans. DLC on Capcoms side seems like a toss up at this point though, I have no idea who they might have.

He seems to be about 2-3x the height of Hiryu, so he'd be pretty tall, but nothing much more jarring than Juggernaut.
You do know that the initial 6 characters are launch before the year is over. Black Panther is DLC and is getting a variant.

You know... It would make a lot of sense if Ant-Man is dlc and thats why the newer leak doesnt have him but the Ryce leaker does. You have to remember we are confined to what was told by Ryce's friend. The man simply heard the name Ant-man.

Wanna know what's better? All of these "Capcom shills" are overly excited about DBF and posting the same hype tweets about that game as well. For some reason, it isn't an issue because most people feel great about the game--as they should. With the other game, any type of positive reinforcement has to be fake because Capcom is just throwing $$$$ at everyone.

Yes. Venom is a returning character, meaning he technically can't be in the 2017 DLC. I'm saying for him to have a variant in August 2017 and then not come out until like February of 2018 would be unusual.

Thats very true, but it still doesnt fit with the "All-New" part. Venom is not new, and I honestly would think if he was a different venom, we would have heard the name "anti venom" or etc.

I'm hoping that all the new characters off that leaked file folders are in the base game and Sigma and Black Panther are there because they will be in the story mode as npc. But same can be said about the other characters, would definately be more positive if those other characters are playable though.

Yeah people are into this whole drama with both games, were going to be playing both by this time next year lol i swear the same people who love mvc talking shit about it are going to kill this franchise and are going to wonder why they don't make anymore a few years later.

They're not going do that, it'll be new characters to the series like SFV.

Well so far the two dlc characters revealed are brand new to MvC, never been in a game before.
I think it's a safe bet to believe it's entirely new characters.

I don't think it'd make much sense to headline the character pass with Sigma and Black Panther as 2 of the all-new characters if the whole pass wouldn't be new.

Yea, they also throw in new cosmic characters too. She's usually portrayed as being human sized, and I imagine she'll have a role in Infinity war? Maybe?
Who is death and what does she do? Is she just a female grim reaper?
Edit: I'd also like to point out that it's entirely possible the unfinished characters that cut got early in development were left in the game's files. Happens all the time like the "Forbidden 7" in Brawl

I'm leaning toward Death as just being an npc in the storymode. Death doesn't really act directly and I'm not sure if I recall her ever actually physically fighting anyone or anything.
Now if "Death" referred to Hela, aka the Asgardian god of death who is the villain of Thor Ragnarok and who rumor says might actually end up being the MCU Death equivalent, that'd be way badass.
She's the abstract embodiment of death in the marvel universe.
She doesn't really *do* anything. People die because she exists but she doesn't really kill anyone. She mostly is just a motivation for Thanos tbh.

All the dlc will be out this year tho, it wont coincide with the movies if thats what you mean.

I think the negativity of MvC:I will dwindle when people get their hands on a versus build of the game in someway. I was pretty down on it, but once I played it in the Story Demo, I was actually really surprised by how fun and open ended it is mechanically. Sitting through the really lame story cinematics was rough, though.
I am obviously hyped for DBFZ as a fan of the series, fighting games, and arcsys games and am way more hyped for it over MvC:I, but I think there is somewhat of a merit to all teh comparisons. It's a game in the same vein and to a lot of the casual audience, presentation is all that's going to matter to them. Now, the game will probably be great from what we've seen, but amazing presentation on top of that goes such a long way to attract someone to a game to begin with. I think MvC:I deserves a chance, but I don't think the game should be as ugly as it is and I wish it wasn't. I'm still going to buy it because I know it's going to be an awesome game mechanically, but I'm not looking forward to have to look at it. I'm just worried the poor presentation is going to hurt it in the long run because people aren't going to be as attracted to it. We have two team fighters with some pretty high pedigree IPs attached to them announced in a somewhat close timeframe.
I think the hardcore comparing and shitting has probably gone too far, but it's reassuring to know that hopefully Capcom will look at this and see how far making a game just look awesome can do for all audiences of the games and will have them try harder in the future, whether it's improving MvC:I visually over time or whatever their next endeavor is.
But yeah, suggesting people are getting paid to say they like MvC:I is ridiculous. If they had enough money to do that, I'm sure the game would be much prettier.

After watching all the videos from E3 I can say that my hype has been restored quite a bit. Graphically it still looks like a turd but the actual gameplay looks fun so I'll be there at launch. Also, if Venom does end up being in the base roster then that's an automatic preorder from me anyway lol.

I think it's more likely that people who are fueled by spiting Capcom would shill for this game. I mean, I don't think that's really true but there's definitely a contingent of people who aren't going to pick up MvCI or DBZ who are shitposting just to stick a thumb in Capcom's eye.
Note: I'm more hyped for DBFZ more than MvCI.

I just think its interesting that if they are DLC, both Panther and Ant-Man have movies about them coming out in 2018. If Marvel has this game as some sort of big advertisement for those two movies, and that DLC is releasing this year, I'm sure they'd have something for Infinity War. Granted I agree it is a bit weird that they wouldn't release those DLC characters in 2018 when the movies actually release but if they're doing it with Panther and Scott, there might be a pattern.

So with the right set up and characters... I would assume its now possible to do two LVL 3 supers in one combo. I say that because I been still jamming out this demo and I used arthurs lvl 3 by infinity storm and while it was going, i realized if i had enough bars, I could have did another lvl 3 super by tagging in thor right then.
By the way, for those whose got to play the demos... Is there a character from UMVC3 that you never cared about, but now finding that character enjoyable? I do... Rocket Raccoon.

I really hope that Capcom/Marvel are receptive to all this feedback, it's a real turn off to see your favorite character completely butchered, it's inexcusable. It screams rush-job, these characters are supposed to be valued by Capcom.
The roster is pretty disappointing but that's subject to change.
Though I'd prefer 3v3, the new system is intriguing and I'm excited to give it a go.

Chris Redfield and rocket for sure. Did not like spencer feel in the demo.
