Yeah Trump, its the house democrats trying to kill healthcare, not the "mean, mean, mean" bill passed by house republicans.

Wait, the SC special election is tomorrow, too, or did he just fuck up there?

Yea, South Carolina's 5th congressional district race is tomorrow:
Voters in South Carolina's 5th Congressional District will choose their next representative in a special election on Tuesday. The election was required after President Trump tapped Republican Mick Mulvaney to become White House Budget Director.

Mulvaney's resignation from the U.S. House left a vacancy in the district that stretches from South Carolina's Upstate to the Sumter area, east of Columbia. The Republican primary in May produced a runoff in which Rock Hill developer and former longtime state legislator Ralph Norman defeated former prosecutor Tommy Pope.

Tuesday's special election pits Norman against Democrat Archie Parnell, an attorney who has worked for Goldman Sachs and the U.S. Justice Department.

He deleted another one this morning about his attorney on Fox & Friends. lol

He even is starting to block people he doesn't like what he reads. A sitting President, being a snowflake.
Isnt there a maximum on the number of people you can block? We should try to reach it.

I have a feeling Handel is going to lose. Some Republicans have to be demotivated after seeing all the shit going on in the White House.

I think Republicans benefit to some extent by the idea that Trump isn't "really" a GOP member. Maybe I'm chicken littling here, but I get the sense that they disassociate Trump's nonsense from the party as a whole.

If Handel wins it will be in spite of Trump, not because of him. I'd prefer if he didn't tweet about the election at all if I were her. Only good it will do is motivate people to vote against her.

The ads have been dirty for a while, but they're moving in HARD on the #stopossoff bullshit. They can't talk about the benefits of Handel because she is a very vanilla, weak candidate.

The undecided will vote their previous habits and Handel will take it. It will another huge warning sign for the GOP that they will ignore, which is a shame because if Ossoff wins they will be running scared.

And lordy I hope I'm wrong about the result.

Go, Jonny, go!

I will not check the results until Wednesday at midnight. I'll either be elated or disappointed, but after November my nerves just can't handle monitoring an election minute-by-minute.

I insult the prick every chance I get. I want to tell my grandkids someday that the President of the United States blocked me on Twitter.

Handal will probably win because voter suppression is very fucking real.
Rich white people make up a majority of the district.

If she wins, it will be because a traditionally Republican district, with a large population of Republican voters, voted to elect a Republican to the seat, not because of voter suppression.

WW3 will be fought over twitter. Calling it. Then you can tell your kids about the Great Twitter Tantrum of '19

My final prediction is that Ossoff will lose by 2% points. A morale booster for 2018, sure, but still another lost opportunity for a solid win.

Dead Heat, it really could go either way at this point. Ossoff is going to lose, though, probably, because we're not ready for the Return of the Jedi phase of all this shit.

Its not a "dead heat", hes up by about 2 which is very close. Hes just as probable to win as she is basically.

Ok. I can see your point even if it might hinge a little too much whether one thinks two points is significant.

Wait, what? I think we are operating under different definitions of what a "dead heat" is.

dead heat is 50/50 odds. Hes up by 2 points which is within a polling error of losing but you'd still rather be up 2 than even or down 2?

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
It's gonna be close. I think she wins late when the rich upper section of the district comes in.

I think voter turnout is gonna matter a lot either way. Polling is basically even. Turnout gonna matter more.

I also wonder how much voter apathy has set in. I know a lot of people from that district are just ready for this shit to be over. They are tired of the gazillion phone calls, canvassers, flyiers, mailers ect... especially since this is an afluent district so it's not like they are stupid/clueless that there is a special election.

Right. I got the argument of a two point lead not representing a literal dead heat, but was confused by the last sentence where you conclude he's just as probable to win as she is.

Today is the day folks. If you live in district 6, please vote. Please win! We want a win! We are tired of Trump. So much corruption, so many lies, its past old. I'm rooting for you here in Texas.

Speaking of ads, this stop Jon Ossoff ad is trending on youtube currently. Somehow they tried to twist it into the violent left??
"Don't vote for the person who shares the same half of the political spectrum as a violent killer. Vote for the person who thinks some people don't deserve to eat"
