That is crazy luck above. I did take a couple of tries for a Tharja but didn't happen. Sanaki has been doing the red mage thing for me. As f2p I've been fairly lucky, even if I get a messed-up IV I like most of the 5* units I've gotten, although only Spring Lucina and Athena were successful specific targets. The one banner that denied me any 5* was the Ike/Titania banner.

I stopped at 30k, then randomly played up to 35k just using the trials for SP/merit/levels, which can be cost-efficient on higher-level characters.
Just finished myself and have the same sentiment.

I'm definitely pacing myself more the next time they do Tempest Trials. I got to 50,000 points on Monday and saw my rank was going up pretty quickly and thought I might have a shot at breaking the top 10,000. By the time I got to 60,000 points my rank was pretty much constant around 12,500. I'd move up, take a break, and my rank would be back where it was before. So I just gave up and didn't play much at all this week.
I actually do hope they do this again. It's a great chance to earn lots of Hero Merit, SP and experience for little stamina, but I'm not going to knock myself out for the top non-orb reward next time either.

-atk is pretty crippling on Tharja IMO, and +spd normally wouldn't make up for it. She doubles so many units already with neutral speed. Mine is actually +atk -hp, just like your second one. She's 40+4 at this point, but she's been part of my primary team since before any merges and has been invaluable the entire time.

Edit: I got jelly and did a couple paid pulls. Because fuck it. Ended up with another Tharja 5*, Tharja 4* and Ike 5*. Win.

I just want to say bridal Cordelia with brave bow, death blow and sword breaker is a one person wrecking crew. I ran tempest with her and Azura to dance and she just mops the floor with 90% of the units. It is just tiring to play the tempest tho but the rewards are tempting......

I had far more time for the 50K prize than I though. I picked up the Quickened Pulse seal a few days, and I just did it very leisurely from then on. I stopped at 70K, though. The grind became unbearable.
Not much to do except save Orbs, finish Quests, and train up some new Heroes for Hero Merit. I've lost my desire to be really competitive in Arena because I can't compete with whales. It seems I'll be seesawing between tier 17 and 18 indefinitely.
She is a beast. I'm doing Training Tower runs, and she is demolishing opponents just with her base kit + New Moon. Once I have SP on her, she will become truly fearsome.

The Tempest Trials and the Legion GHB have completely burnt me off the game. Not because of the grinding, but because it has shown me how shit I am at it. I don't have a single character at level 40 yet, and thus making a good run on the Tempest Trials and completing the GHBs is almost impossible for me, and I have missed on so many things that it's impossible to catch up anymore. I wish they would have some days with no events so I can fucking level up these characters and not get wrecked constantly.

No, I started when the game came out, I tend to augment rarity a lot so that's probably one of the reasons. Also I have too many characters so I'm basically spreading myself too thin
Also how much money have you spent? Cause I haven't spent a single cent yet, I think I'm gonna have to to catch up though
Maybe pick 4 heroes and focus on getting them to spec first? That'll give you a base to work with while you level other heroes.

Yeah, this is the best option. The hardest part is getting your first lv40s. You should focus on having at least one lv40 of the three main colors, preferably 5*s if you have any. After that they can help carry other units you want to grind. Also if you can always use a dancer, it doesn't really matter what level they are.
Lol a paid spite pull, I like it. I used countless orbs chasing down Tharja and Ike, never got em, mb I should spite pull now too
Michalis repeat is next, then Clarisse.
I got Ike on the Tempest banner if that helps +SPD -DEF

I'll be curious to find out if bow emblem can be viable among Clarisse, Faye, and bride Cordelia. They're super fragile, but can be nasty to deal with. I'm looking forward to Clarisse's weapon effects plus poison strike because Jaffar with similar skill set works out pretty well for me.
Oh.. forgot about those.
I wonder how they are gonna do the quests for the repeated Legion GHB. kill all Legion with Legion? also we've already got 3 of him
Finally beat Legion on Infernal, for me it was not easily, since I was dead set on doing the strategy of killing everything before reinforcements showed up. Had to farm up a ton of SP to give Cecilia Defiant Attack 3 and Reinhardt Poison Strike 3 (Also gave Cecilia Reprisal, but overlooked that the Archer had Guard).
Also gave Gunter Vantage 2, but that turned out to be useless for this, since Legion just decided to attack a different enemy after he got it. Got myself 4*+1 Gunters and Cecilia's now though.
While the Tempest is such a damn grind to get to 50k, it is a really good method for farming up SP on level 40 units.

So, how did everyone fare on hero merit with the 1-2 punch of the Kozaki Yusuke maps then Tempest Trials?
I feel decent about my result but the tempest was less well-geared for grinding than I thought because of my over-reliance on a few characters to clear maps consistently on higher difficulties.

I didn't even realise that Michalis was coming back today. I almost completely missed the notification because of the maintenance announcement pushing it mostly off the page. Fortunately I happened to accidentally click on the special maps button out of habit.
I'm glad he is back too. Despite getting both versions the previous time around, both of them got devoured for skill inheritance because of how useful Iote's shield is, yet I still like him enough as a character that I want him... well, I don't know if 'like' is a good term for it, but the guy hates Marth so that's reason enough for me to approve of him.
Unfortunately, I never bothered upgrading Alphonse or Sharena past 3* because I've never had enough care for either of them, even though there's plenty of incentive so now I'm down 4000 feathers and have to grind these losers (okay, Sharena's not too bad) up to 40.

Finished Tempest with a little over 80k points and 7000 sp on Tharja. I wish I could have grinded more over the past weekend for the last 6 orbs but I had more important real life committments to take care of. Couldn't best Legion on Infernal, I will defintely have Horse Emblem ready next time though.
