I just spent like 20 minutes customizing the paint/decals on a car, and when I went to save it the game crashed and closed -__________-

this is the third or fourth time it's crashed on my xb1s. the other few times it happened when I got to a barn find. what's the d
press the save button while in the menus, and save that way. If the game crashes, an "autosave" paintjob should show up in the menu

Finally happy it's on sale on PC. I'll be grabbing it tonight for sure! Gonna go with the standard just because I have a lot of other things to play... though they do look fun.

Well I guess the Forza Rewards doesn't track FM5 tokens purchased anymore. That's neat.

What do you mean? The rewards site lags the xbox activity by a good 24-72 hours, so if you JUST purchased FM5 tokens a day or two ago, it can take a few days for the site to reflect it.

I was 150 points away from tier 9 AND I had $4 in xbox live credit expiring in July, so I bought last week $5 of FM5 tokens. No real reason why, I don't really play the game but giving me an extra 75k credits every week in FH3 and F7 would be nice and the only game I play on xbox is RDR and Forza so nothing else to spend that expiring $4. It took about 4 days but the rewards site updated finally to give me 350 points for FM5 and gave me the tier 9 bump.

The bad one is FH2, there is no way (afaik) to buy tokens anymore for that game and the rewards site still tracks it.

Are there any good twitch streamers or youtubers to take a look at that aren't obnoxious and are also decent drivers? The ones I've seem to come across on youtube either feel the need to talk every second the video is playing and also suck at driving and actually playing the game Just looking to see some decent players driving. Just because the game is more arcade then sim doesn't mean you need to constantly be bouncing off other cars or the railings or acting like you don't know what a break is and then trying to complain or play it off.

It's a self handicap to give you more credits. Ive always have damage turned off completely.

The AI is aggressive while suffering no damage and the game is designed with some crazy off road jumps. I also think the damaged cars look awful, but that's me.

AI cars can get damaged. But it doesn't have a huge effect on proceedings.

In Forza Motorsport it does though - damaged cars will pit.

Thanks!

I'll get on that this week! (slightly joking)

Though I do agree. I'm just starting to record my gameplay for various things and upload to youtube, so when I start Forza I would love if you check them out and see if its your cup of tea. I only talk at the beginning usually, then the rest of it is just gameplay unless I feel the need to comment on something... (mostly record game videos to show/give to my students so they can mess around with editing software at school, personally don't know what the hell I'm doing haha)

But yeah, once I finish Vanquish tonight, I'm moving on to starting Forza, any tips for the beginning I should know guys? Or should I just go in and enjoy.

Good luck with that. Online racing is a shitshow really. Even in the more sim Forza Motorsports.

It's best to have cars tuned for handling and acceleration. Noobs will go for speed and crash out half the field most times. You just need to survive until the pack spreads out.

You can do quite well just properly anticipating the crashes and who will try to blast you up the ass on a sharp turn.

There's a weird forzathon going on for 24 hours, starts in 1 hour, that involves the Tamo Racemo car.

Thanks for the heads up about online. I'll be buying the game even if online is a shitshow because I like the idea of playing a game like this in multiplayer. Quick question though....when PC players play against Xbone players, is there cross voice chat as well? Also, how's the lag during cross-platform play?

I found the best way to play Forza Motorsport multiplayer was let everyone race past you. You can then amble past the mess they all make of the first corner.

Super easy way to do Showoffs: tune the Racemo to the top of B class with stock tires (I did an engine swap, some weight reduction and better brakes) and blueprint a 4/5-lap scramble in Blizzard Mountain.

Online adventures especially are a joke, just race cleanly and avoid being rammed into by the silly drifters and you'll get so much XP that you'll win regardless of how you place in the individual events.

I saw a bunch of those for dirt cheap (4000ish) on the Auction House earlier today. I think there was a free giveaway or something

They gave away the Racemo back in March to every FH3 player in their inbox, as part of its introduction at the Geneva Auto show.

I bought a bunch earlier in the week for 4-10k and sold half today for 500k or so each, I have no idea why I have 15m credits and don't really buy anything but it was kinda fun playing auction house mogul for a few minutes. I'm sure if you really want to build a 100m FH3 credit empire you could just spend all day today buying and upselling racemo's for people doing the forzathon.

The challenges, at least a few of them for forzathon are pretty easy. For the speed trap you can run through the same one three times. For bucket list you can create your own if you want and just do a set route.

It didn't take me long, however the one in few days will :(

#Forzathon No Equal Starts in 2 days
Win a game of King to earn 55,000 XP AND 200,000 CR

I'm not going to be able to win a game of King :(

We could set up a time to do a private online freeroam session with one other GAFfer and take turns letting each other win :)

I'm new to the horizon series and I can't get used to TC off, am I at a serious disadvantage if I leave it on?

Keep it on for high powered cars. Take it off for lower powered ones.

Learn to use the triggers as analog, don't keep mashing them. They rumble when you're spinning the wheels. Just focus on fine control. You'll get it in no time and you'll be much better at the game all round, it's a skill worth learning.

Seconding this. The beastly supercars and hypercars are made IRL with TC in mind, they'd be undrivable without. So follow suit and turn it on.

Low-powered or older cars drive absolutely fine, in some cases better, with TC off.

Fuck I missed the forzathon yesterday. God dammit.

So far that's 8 #forzathons missed.

I have 157/165 earned so far. *shrug*

Those damn Tuesday one-day only Forzathons are the killer lol.

except for the forzathons, expansions and the 1v1 races, there's nothing to fear about losing. In fact, you could gain more credits/XP by upping difficulty and not getting first
Yes. I can come in last in every race of an XP championship, yet end up in first place for the championship.

The only time mine seems to crash, is after I been playing it for very long periods. With online multiplayer races. So like four or five hours straight of online play, and it seems to crash and relaunch the game sometimes.

It hasn't worked for me and it's been 5 days. Everything else updates immediately. At least I squeezed most of the points from FM5, the online is not fun with all the lagging.

I believe it's for the online adventure races because online the championships all depends on xp.
Yes. The online adventure races. In last place you don;t crash into anyone so you can potentially maximize your XP. As long as you don't crash into any barirers.

It's lame, but most times the lead car gets tons of XP too with a clean race once they break away from the pack.
