Jennifer Love Hewitt was never on Supernatural. Haha.

But as far as the brother bickering goes, the second half of season 9, right after you stopped, is probably the worst in the series.

It gets better in season 10 but the writers finally dropped it all together after that. Seasons 11 and 12 had them fully working together without the forced arguments.

Who am i thinking of? She was the that season's big bad

I'm only in for Supernatural spinoff if they make it the polar opposite of its originating show. It needs to kill off basically every male character that it introduces. The scales must be balanced.

So was Still Star Crossed the TV show that people kept saying was a summer budget disaster and the network tried to pawn off for cheap to netflix? I haven't watched it but 3 episodes are out.

The only other possibility I think was Midnight, Texas?

After that super mega guest star! rumour (I don't even remember who it turned out to be), I'm sure people are making this rumour out to be bigger than it actually is.

It was Jon Hamm in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo on "Last Man on Earth."

Waaaaay oversold.

That's Ausiello for you. lol

lol, me too...

The only thing I remember is that it was't the Jack Lord's "cameo" in Hawaii Five-0.
I forgot that CG monstrosity. lol

Man, not having a good British TV news source means I missed that The Trip to Spain came out. I guess with peak TV, people don't even bother covering non-American TV anymore because I feel like it would have been a big thing any other time.

Meant to post this a couple days ago, better late than never I guess.

That and the talk of a revamp are not a good sign, not that the show was great to begin with but that sounds worse unless they're casting new people to fill in for the supporting characters that were part of the team Bryan has in the movies. I haven't watched the last couple episodes but on the other end there's not much to miss with most of them on the show.

Did we ever decipher whether that was the show that was allegedly so bad its network tried to cut ties ahead of its premiere?

I didn't watch it for very long, but Still Star Crossed didn't seem that bad. Definitely not for me, yet I had a harder time getting through Blindspot episodes

I think that it was "I'm Dying Up Here."

High profile producer? Yup.

Critically mauled? Yup.

Only thing is, it's a comedy series, but it's one of those dramedies, so Ausiello might have fudged things a bit. It might not be what Ausiello had in mind, but it fits very well.

Ausiello has been doing these types of rumours for over a decade. It doesn't matter what the real answer was I suppose. lol

Just when I thought I had blocked I'm Dying Up Here out of my mind...I wouldn't be shocked.

If memory serves correctly, Starz gave up on Flesh & Bone right before its premiere and threw all the episodes up on their streaming apps at once. Maybe Showtime was thinking about doing the same with I'm Dying Up Here.

I personally don't mind Britt Robertson in certain roles, but I don't know how she keeps getting high profile work. Under the Dome, Tomorrowland, Mother's Day, Mr. Church, The Space Between Us, and now Girlboss. And that's just in the last 3 years. Everything she's been attached to has either been awful, a financial failure, or both.

Flaked should be dead soon, they gave Girlboss two months and Flaked S2 just dropped to absolutely nobody noticing.

Marvel stuff needs an overhaul. Rushed production without enough stories to fill the runtime, hopefully Iron Fist (and to a lesser extent the others) is a lesson there. Netflix dramas in general are really starting to fatigue, 13 episodes @ 50min is just exhausting.

It's always going to be weird when shows like Girlboss get cancelled, since we won't know unless Ted or someone else flat out says why it was cancelled. Was it the low viewership? Low reviews? The potentially unlikable lead? Everyone decided to bail? Or all of the above, even?

The way it came out of the showrunner's Instagram account is real weird, as are the "controlling my narrative" and "caricature" comments.

I wouldn't be shocked if Netflix started staggering releases. hour long dramas are not designed to be binged

They probably know what's better for their audiences from the licensed stuff that they have to stagger (like Riverdale internationally). Amy Sherman Palladino wanted Gilmore Girls to be staggered but Netflix said nope.

Shorter or split seasons seems a lot more likely.

Afaik they don't even give straight answers to showrunners

GLOW has been such a breath of fresh air. Now, that's partly due to the writing, of course, but it also has a lot to do with the episodes being only 30 minutes long. You can easily get through a season in just a sitting or two without feeling like it took up your whole weekend.

Ack youre watching? Your complete absence from the OT made me think you skipped it.

And it's scary that Netflix cancels shit like a normal network now :(
