Good choices. I'll vouch for New Vegas, Psychonauts, Brütal Legend, Wolfenstein and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Just make sure to actually play them. ;)

I've already played Psychonauts, but it was on the terrible PSN PS2 emulation. So the experience wasn't great, still managed to enjoy it a lot though.

Wolfenstein I'm starting tonight so looking forward to that. Deus Ex soon after along with New Vegas in a month or so.

Rest of the list is something I'll play eventually :D, I hope!

Picked up a lot of games but have only played Hollow Knight and Alwa's Awakening.

Alwa's Awakening is ... okay, but not great. It's a mix between Battle Kid and Simon's Quest, but it seems to take the less fun aspects of both.

Hollow Knight though, you guys weren't kidding, this game is SO GOOD. The controls are so tight, the atmosphere is amazing, it's just all around incredible, and I'm only an hour or so in. I discounted it at first based on screen shots but it's soooo good in motion.

Just a little bump for those who may have missed it. If you've never used ModBot for giveaways before please read the instructions below. I've received a number of PMs trying to enter for a game. I'd hate for you to miss out because you sent the entry code to me instead of ModBot

ModBot said:
Instructions for participants:
I am giving away 89 Steam keys. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below that corresponds to the game you want. (if you include more than one game, you will be blocked from entering). Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.
Want to make your own ModBot giveaway? Click here for a quick tutorial thread. Please give generously.

ModBot Basics:
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (Jive Turkey, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- This is a free for all! You can enter for multiple games on the list below. Send an individual PM for each game you'd like to win.
- If you won a game from ModBot in the last day, you are not eligible for this giveaway.
- This giveaway is a raffle. The winners will be selected by random draw 24 hours after the draw was created. Any games not claimed after that point will be given away first come first serve.

Any recommendations for logic puzzle games a la Paint It Back or Hexcells/Squarecells/Crosscells?

On top of the ones already mentioned

Energy Balance
Lyne
Strata
Everyday Genius: Square Logic

Quell, on the easy side.
SpaceChem, on the harder side.
Circuits , though it does require audio.

How is Arkham Knight running now a days? Worth the 7.99?

Depends on your RAM and graphics card. With 8GB of RAM and a 960ti I suffered not a problem at all when I played through it a year ago.

As long as it does run on your system, I think it's a very good game with only your tolerance for driving a Bat-Tank so very often being a potential hindrance.

How are the PC ports of the Ninja storm games?
And did Arkham knight ever get fixed?

Edit: I just saw above ^^^
i5 6500
1070

Anyone know if I can maintain 60 at 1440?

Fuck this fence I'm on.

Sell me on RimWorld. Un-sell me on RimWorld.

As someone that loves Dwarf Fortress for all of the narrative possibilities, but hates it for it's obtuse and busted UI (as soon as I have to boot up Dwarf Therapist my mind turns off and the game has now become a chore), what are the pros and cons of RimWorld?

What does it excel at in comparison to DF? Where does it come up short in comparison to DF?

I've seen people with beefy rigs say they don't encounter any stuttering of framerate problems.

If you want more Batman, it's the most Batman game out there.

The Ninja Storm games are serviceable. The last one (4) supports 60fps; the others are capped to 30.

Arkham Knight runs well nowadays, but I suppose it will depend on your hardware. Perfectly fine on my 970 (for 1080/60). With that setup of yours you'll be good, most likely!

I've never played DF, or any of these kind of games actually, but I understood the UI pretty much right away so I feel like it's probably good.

Other than that the one thing I've been told is that RimWorld is more personal than DF. You have fewer people and they all have a quirk or two so I've heard that people develope much stronger feelings towards their dudes than in DF.

Then I'll pick up storm 4 and arkham knight.

My head is melting. I've gone through my 200 item wishlist, a lot of this thread, and the hidden gem thread [adding to my wishlist].

I then added everything to cart I 'really' wanted that was on a solid sale.

I ended up with 27 games for $118 and change in my cart.

My budget is $20.

I've got potential trash games for $0.50 that I've wanted to try for ages [ie, a mixed review gladiator school type game] through known gems that I'm sure I'd love that are 7.50. I don't know whether I should go for quantity of 'wants' or just grab a couple 'really wants'.

I don't even know how to proceed. My brain is on lockdown.

Fall and Winter Sales will be here before you know it. Consider time spend on playing those games and how long until you're "ready" for those other ones. Usually I feel 3-5 games will last me until the next sale, unless a daily or weekly pops up in between.

I already bought it. Already got sold on it with the YouTube videos out there and hearing some of the stories. It's an interesting tale on emergent stories where every play through really does have meaning.

Guess I'm skipping Hollow Knight on Steam. This is too irresistible to not get on the Switch as that seems to be the perfect place to play it.

Dead Cells it is then!

How is House of the Dying Sun? Worth 10 bucks or should I hold off? I'm not lacking for other games to play.

I'm wondering if the game is as simple as it appears in terms of mission structure, or whether it has interesting variety.

(this is a copy of my post from the gems thread, I put it there by mistake but I'll leave it in both threads)

So I just started playing Pillars of Eternity...

This is my first CRPG... I'm stil really early (I just got to the first village and talked to everybody)...

Somehow I am now tempted to buy the season pass and buy Tyranny lol... Dammit Steam Sales...why are you doing this to me? This is such a dumb idea...

Go for what you really want, even if you only wind up with one or two games. Otherwise you'll just drift from OK game to OK game thinking about how you should have gotten the game you actually felt like playing. Always the right course of action.
