If you got an NES Classic, did you end up playing it much? Are you still playing it?

Beat ninja gaiden, castlevania and Zelda 1. Haven't played since.

My mother in law has it and plays Dr Mario every day. Or Zelda 1. Lots of Dr Mario though.

Mine's still in the box. I imagine it will be worth more in like 10 years.
I'd have taken it out if i had my office set up so i could play comfortably. that cord length would not work in my living room setup.

At first my daughter and wife played it, but then the honeymoon ended. It's more a novelty then anything else really.

Something we bought just to have more then a desire to actually use it.

It remains in its box, untouched.

I bought it as a birthday present for my girlfriend when it came out so she could play the games she grew up with and she never bothered to connect it (despite beeing excited about it at first)

I'm keeping it as my ace in the sleeve to fill out my 52 games beat this year list lol.

I keep it dusted off and plugged in, but I haven't played it since February. I honestly do mean the above, though. Planning on going through the catalog entirely with a fair amount of play starting in October.

Played through SMB1, SMB3, Zelda1, Kirby, Mega Man 2, Ninja Gaiden, a ton of hours in Donkey Kong, the first 4 hours of FF1, the first dungeon of Zelda 2 before I got lost, and all of Castlevania 1.

Definitely worth $60. Still haven't hacked mine yet.

Finished Super Mario Bros. and Kirby's Adventure. Played a few of the other games for a bit. Played it maybe for 10-15 hours total or something? I still plan on playing and finishing Contra and a few others, but mainly I wanted it cause it's a cool gadget.

I'm looking forward to the SNES mini though. Unlike most NES games, SNES games hold up pretty well. Also, I'm looking forward to play Mario RPG for the first time.

Bought two. One I play and one in box. One in box was not planned. Got it right before they canceled production and I saw it at GameStop. It was a fluke purchase

I modded mine and played through Zelda ALTTP and Final Fantasy 6 with a 8bitdo controller. It is collecting dust since then though.

Still am! Currently playing through SMB3, Zelda II and am at the end of Metroid.

Will probably be playing it for years to come.

Hacked it to play a billion games so it gets regular use at my house by my wife or myself

If only they had a way where they could release games on a digital, ever-growing service instead of asking $60-80 for a small thing with a fixed number of pre-set games on it.

Played 15 minutes... I never had an NES, so no nostalgia factor and I'm to spoiled with modern controls to go back.

I dabbled in most of the games on it briefly, no more than a couple hours of playtime total on it. Of course, I didn't need to have it/wasn't hunting for mine like many, I kind of lucked into one by seeing a Twitter post right as BB got stock online. It's more a decoration piece, really.

modded it with every new game then never touched it, have too many systems plugged in (Switch, PS4, Xbox One, appleTV and cable box) so don't have a free hdmi port. Had it plugged though my xbox one but at the end of the day just easier to boot up OpenEmu on my laptop.

I've played it "some", about what I expected (a few hours the first day, and then an hour or so a week since, maybe?).

Now it mostly gets used for weekly knock down drag out Dr. Mario play with my GF.

Barely used it.

It's been a crazy busy first half gaming year, one big release after another. But it's cooling down now so I guess I will spent some time with it soon.

It's still boxed.

Still in the box.

Barely played it since launch.

Unopened and on display on a shelf.

Bought it on the last day Best Buy had them (during the final restock, lined up at 4 AM). Opened it, hooked it up, played a bit, unhooked it, put it in a storage shelf on my media stand.

No I don't play it.

Turned it on, put it back in the box and it now remains in the box. Great little system and glad I have it. But I'll never actually play it.

Mine is in the box. The lag really bothered me.

Played my friend's NES Classic, mine is sealed in the box because I'm a sick man.

Still boxed. The graphics are too shitty for me to play now.

Got one at launch. Plugged it in, played it twice and its never been on since.

Mine's still in the box. I imagine it will be worth more in like 10 years.

Played it a handful of times, then reboxed.

It remains in its box, untouched.

I have it. Never unboxed it :/ Will buy SNES-classic too.

Only played it on two afternoons then it went back into the box. 16bit era was much more interesting for me tbh.

This thread

is fucking maddening.

I haven't played it as much as I thought I would. It may be sacrilege to say but I'm not really an 8-bit fan. However the SNES is way more up my street so I'll be playing that a lot!

Never took it out of the box. Have most of the games on cart. Only got one because I was at Wal-Mart when they were opening boxes to find switch products.

Got my order in the night Best Buy put it up on November 11th online. Received it that Monday in the mail.

It sat in the box until Christmas, when I opened it as a gift for my family. We played and played and played all day long, but I boxed it up that night and didn't open it again until January 9th, when hakchi released.

Hacked it, added some sorely missed games (hello, Double Dribble), and played with it that weekend between my family and friends.

My wife plays it every now and again, but I didn't use it nearly as much as I thought I would and eventually will give it to my son when he's ready.

I will get the SNES Classic and probably do the exact same thing I did with it's father. (Here's to hoping that I can put Turtles In Time on it, so I can box my cartridge version up.)

Played it for a few hours with some friends then put it away. Dunno why that would bother some people, we're entitled to purchase whatever we want regardless of how much we would use it - Doesn't mean I don't cherish it.

Smh at all the people in here that just keep them boxed. Just scalp it and get it over with.

I love mine, but admittedly, don't play it a lot, since I still have my NES and actually have carts of 29 out of the 30 games on the Nes mini.

I had never played Bubble Bobble before and I absolutely loved it. Played it co-op my first time. Want to buy the cart now haha.

My Dad stays with me every few months and he prefers playing on it because the games look a lot cleaner. We specifically play Tecmo Bowl. A game that we've been playing for over 28 years now. It just sucks that they had to remove the names of the players, but I understand.

I did bring it with me on a trip and played it very shortly in the hotel haha.

I played it a decent amount and even loaded some SNES games on it. I ended up selling it thinking I would buy my favorites on Switch. Still waiting for that.

my posts are "MEH"
I don't understand... why buy this, especially knowing how the graphics are, only to box it after a few plays? It's as if the majority were unaware of the systems specs prior to purchasing lol.

Never opened it and gifted it to my nieces. They're having a blast with it! Way better use for it than me keeping it.

Played it a few times, but mostly it is a display piece. I prefer real hardware on a CRT for my NES games. Second controller was never even opened. When I played 2p with my kiddo, she used my Samus GCN style wii controller

Probably have gotten a dozen of them. The first was for me (even got a second controller, never found another of those!), I ended up modding it to have about 90 games.

The rest all went up on eBay, save one that's sitting in its box, biding its time...
