If you got an NES Classic, did you end up playing it much? Are you still playing it?

I managed to get one on the final bestbuy restock before it was discontinued. Played it a couple times and haven't touched it since. I'll be honest, the scarcity factor made me want the thing much more than I otherwise would have. At $60 I didn't have to think very hard about impulse buying one when I finally came across it in stock.

I will say I do appreciate having the option to fire up a game of Punch Out at whim though.

SNES was a lot more near and dear to my heart so I am much more excited for that one.

Played it a ton with my young kids early on, easily getting massive value out of it. It still comes out every now and again. I don't get the display factor personally. Hanging out for the mini SNES now too.

Burned through Zelda with my son, daughter loves Dr Mario and Bubble Bobble got plenty of time. Funnily enough my girl still likes Excitebike/Double Dragon. We're onto Zelda II now and semi regularly fire up a quick game of SMB, Galaga or Pac-man still.

For the first week or so I played it with the family. Then I put it in a drawer next to the tv and I haven't used it in a long time.

Thought about modding it to play more games and such but never got around to it. The wife likes the retropi setup more.

managed to get one right before the real end of production notice. by then it had been cracked and people could fit the entire NES catalog on there and some. so i followed suit. had 2 8bitdo SNES controllers(1 US, 1 JP style) laying around from a purchase with a raspberry Pi and saw 8Bitdo had wireless receivers for the NES Classic.

Began installing whatever i could on it. highlight of it all was throwing a retro party. Classic on one TV, Pi on another. Major tourneys were:

Killer Instinct SNES
Super Mario Kart
Street Fighter vs. Xmen

and a SUUUUUPER heated brawl of Kirbys Avalanche. great times from a little console. still gets played almost once a week and i have Super Nintendo Sundays every other weekend. its not even a super nintendo!!

Not a ton, but it was a hit with kids and family. I also enjoyed hacking it and adding games to it. Every once in a while I think about firing it up, but its hard to make the time.

Got an NES Mini Classic mainly as a collectible, but I did open it and play it a couple times. Boxed it back up, haven't played it since and now it sits on my shelf with the rest of my collection.

I have one at work, sitting in my office that I play during long ass conference calls with my customers. 2 boxed in the basement that I might give away to some friends who couldn't get one. The other four went on EBAY quick as hell. Thanks to Nintendo, I got rid of a nice chunk of debt.

Life.

Got it more for the nostalgia factor. Honestly, I find most nes games trash by today's standards(and I grew up with them). I still plan on playing here and there. I added the 700 roms to it heh

Still in its box, but I am going to open it eventually. I'm waiting until I get a new job and move out of my parents house before rewarding myself by playing it.

I still play it every week. Right now, Im trying to beat Zelda 2. While I think the combat and dungeon exploration is fun, the grind for experience is brutal.

I love my mini, but I didnt grow up in that era, so I struggled (and still struggle) to get into alot of games on it. I'll definitely have a better time the SNES.

Mine still in the box, i bought it for collection purpouses only.
I have more than a thouthand ways to play those games. (Wii, Wii U, 3DS, Android, PC, etc)-
The SFmini ill probably use it for Star Fox 2 only

Wtf? SOOOOO many in the boxes!!!! This is madness. C'mon gamers. Just print and display a box if that's your goal.

Anyway, hacked mine to play not just nes. It's a great little emulator.

In fact was just playing it yesterday and it's chillin right in front of me.

Got one a few months ago. Play it at least once a week. Even got the Edge Joystick, since I had one when I was little too. XD

TBH the only way these classic game will be played is to have it on handheld. The Vita & Switch are the perfect place for them.

I can't make myself sit down at home play them on TV.

I have all the NES mini games on other platforms and virtual console. When the prices went through the roof, I decided not to open mine. Let's face it - it's a collectable. Nintendo wanted it to be unobtanium - I won't open mine until I see how it shakes out in the longer term.

I played through the Marios and Zeldas and it's my new preferred way to play Dr. Mario and other games with my wife. Hopefully one day I'll get through Metroid, Mega Man, Kid Icarus, Final Fantasy, and the collection of arcade-like third-party games since I've never finished any of those.

Sold for quadruple profit.

Famicom mini saw much more use. Played through Mario, Zelda and ice climber quite a bit. Then sold it too.

Played it once and put it back in the box. Been meaning to hook it up again because I want to play Metroid and Zelda. Busy with other games, though.

It's fascinating psychologically, this whole idea of buying something just to have it.
I brought mine with every intention of using it. The insane scarcity (and the chance to make hundreds on it) has cooled my heels. Opened my second controller, which is now being used frequently with Virtual Console.

Strap on your hooker ...
Unboxed and hacked. Haven't really played much at home by myself, but it saw some good use when I brought it to some friends' gatherings a couple times.

I haven't been able to play that much but I'm still on my first full playthrough of Zelda. Once I'm done I'll try to beat Zelda II for real. Those without one aren't missing much tbh.

I treat it as a toy TBH. Looks pretty cool on a shelf. Don't know if I'll treat SNES classic the same way because there's a lot I want to actually play.

Payed 100 Cad for it.
Since it was a 4 month late gift that i promised as soon as the console was announced, i have no clue if it was ever used or not. It really was none of my problem as soon as i gave it away.

I sold mine for $200 a couple months ago.

I don't even know why I bought it in the first place.. I'm definitely not one to play old games.
