Tom Holland has met both Tobey Macguire and Andrew Garfield:
"I met both of them," Holland shared. "Andrew was so lovely, we had a really good chat together. I met Tobey very briefly but yeah, they're both nice guys."

And his friendship with Zendaya is growing fast:
"I ran out of new clothes and was like, 'Yo mate, can you help me out? I don't have any clothes to wear for this event.' And she was like, 'Oh I have this jacket, do you want to borrow it?' And I tried it on. I still have it," Holland said. "I even saw her in New York like, two days ago, she's like, 'Can I have the jacket back?' And I was like, 'Yeah, I don't I don't know where it is.'"

Zendaya spoke out on how proud she is of the diversity:
"It's all based on reality and I don't know if you see what I see, but this is what the world looks like, you know what I mean?" she said. "It's reflecting that reality and that realness, and I think that, you know, that's what makes this movie so special."

Marisa Tomei at the red carpet:

Marisa sounded stoked about an Aunt May solo movie:
"What? You guys know way more than I do. First of all, it took her forever to find out about Peter, so I don't know what level of spy she would be, but I would like the idea of a big magnifying glass. Did they really, did you really hear that? I'm all for it."

Tom Holland also explains how his Spider-Man isn't burdened by being a superhero:
"I felt very strongly about the question about what would happen if you gave a 15-year-old superpowers." Holland explained. "I think the answer would be he would have the time of his life. Yes, he would probably stop crime, but have so much fun doing it. We really tried to convey that he's enjoying his superpowers. More often than not in superhero movies, the powers are a burden to the superhero but in our case, they're the complete opposite."

Michael Mando has also revealed on his Instagram who he is playing in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

RT scores always start high. I think it'll end up in the high 80s (which is still 10 points more than I expected).

Sony's marketing department really shit the bed here because the reviews are talking about a WAY better movie than those trailers were advertising.

97% and the consensus is in.

Spider-Man: Homecoming does whatever a second reboot can, delivering a colorful, fun adventure that fits snugly in the sprawling MCU without getting bogged down in franchise-building.

I will lose in the ratings predictions but will win when I'm in the theatre seat. I'd rather it be this way anyway.

I just want to buy my tickets. Will be the first time I am going to see a MCU movie alone, which makes me a bit sad, but I am just happy that Spider-Man is back at the top

My predictions have been a little off so far:

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

RT: 90% (Actual: 81%)
Box Office: $1.1B (Actual: $845M)

Wonder Woman

RT: 68% (Actual: 92%)
Box Office: $580M (Actual: $660M)

Power Rangers

RT: 75% (Actual: 47%)
Box Office: $450M (Actual: $140.2M)

Spider-Man Homecoming

RT: 83% (Actual: 97% so far)
Box Office: $900M

Thor Ragnarok

RT: 93%
Box Office: $820M

Justice League

RT: 58%
Box Office: $770M

Though I personally would rate GOTGv2 much closer to the original that the score it got.

Homecoming seems like a nice change of pace from all these other cape films coming out this year. He's just a kid in queens trying to save the day. No 3rd act end of the world nonsense.

DP:I have 2 questions if someone who's seen the movie would oblige

Is Vulture a good villain like the reviews say?

Hows the giacchino score? Forgettable? Good?

Sat down at watched Doctor Strange last night.

It was...okay. I felt like the film was a bit rushed for time as he went from rookie to master a bit too quickly, and the plot got a bit confusing if you weren't paying attention and making mental notes. So much to keep track of with Dormammu and Dark Dimensions and so on.

Also it was weird that the cast seemed so small. When the big bad was attacking the Hong Kong sanctum at the end of the movie we see a bunch of guys preparing for a battle and then never again, it's just Mordo, Strange, and Wong for the rest of the film.

Gonna catch GotG2 when it hits Netflix. I'm still a bit cool on the MCU as a whole right now...a bit burnt out overall. The anticipation for Infinity War is killing me though. So many actors and characters crammed into one film. It's gonna be delightful.

Kevin Feige believes Wonder Woman's Box Office success can only be good for Captain Marvel:

What it does do is go, 'Oh, thank God, because what the question would have been on this junket before that is, 'Do you think people want to see a female superhero movie? Do you think audiences are ready to go see a big ... Are you nervous about Captain Marvel being a big, the first female hero?' And I would always say no, because there hasn't been a good one in a long time.

There were, you know, 15 years ago, a bunch of bad ones. Did they fail because they were female lead movies? No. They failed because they were not good movies. I don't have to say that anymore. Thanks to Wonder Woman. Because it just blows that fallacy out of the water.

Here's our favorite dog, Lockjaw! He's so cute.

At least this looks good, unlike everything else in that Inhumans trailer.

I actually like what they did with the antennae. The comic design never made any sense to me, didn't actually look like an organic part of him.

Sadly, that trailer made it look like some real garbage. You'd think they were actively trying to tank it. Fuck Ike Perlmutter and his petty crusty ass.

Nick Fury was originally to have the role of Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming:
"Interestingly, while Tony was the obvious choice, especially after the events of Civil War, Watts created images of Nick Fury as the mentor in the story in early 'mood reels' before getting the job. 'I don’t know what the situation would be,' he said. 'But that would be a person he’d want to get in trouble with.'"

Spider-Man: Homecoming is the second highest rated Spider-Man movie:
1. Spider-Man 2 - 94%
2. Spider-Man: Homecoming - 93%
3. Spider-Man - 89%
4. The Amazing Spider-Man - 72%
5. Spider-Man 3 - 63%
6. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - 52%

Kevin Feige loved becoming a meme after recent interview:
"At least I got to become a meme," Feige said. "I always wanted to be a meme. It was my dream to be a meme."

"My favorite thing is sad Kevin Spidey," Pascal added. "Yeah, I know. You're famous."

Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 will start minutes after Avengers 4:
Speaking with Fandom, Pascal explained that in terms of the Homecoming sequel film, "we are starting now the next one which will start a few minutes after Avengers 4 wraps as a story.”

Jacob Batalon aka Ned Leeds reveal how he got the part:
"The first thing I auditioned for, it was Untitled Marvel Project," Batalon said. "The specs were so general. It was like 'Any body type, any age as long as you look like you're 17,' or something crazy. Literally anything, you could've been anything. And then you give you these fake sides for a self-tape, and then I got a callback self-tape and they gave me actual script. When they gave that to me, they were like, 'You know what? Scratch that, just do a screen test instead.' Because honestly, I felt like they didn't trust me with actual scripts. I feel like they thought I was just gonna lose it somewhere."

Feige reveals that he almost cast Jason Statham in a MCU movie:
Feige went on to say "we talked with him about doing a role in one of our movies."
"It didn’t end up working out, his schedule didn’t work out," Feige revealed. However, in the falling out between Marvel Studios and Statham, the hope of getting him involved with a future film remains in tact. "I was in another meeting a few days later, and my cell phone rang," Feige said. "I didn’t recognise the number, but I answered it. And it was Jason Statham."
"He was saying ‘sorry it didn’t work out, maybe next time,'" Feige explained. "He couldn’t have been nicer!"

Tony Revolori received death threats over his role in Homecoming:
“I’m not what the character was in the comic books,” Revolori stressed. “I’m not, and we can say that clearly and easily — and there’s still people who will hate that fact. It was very disheartening to receive hate mail and death threats and things like that.”

I would have liked this way more but Tony made the most sense. Still hope Tom and SLJ get to do a scene together.

Oh my god. Time to explore the Marvel UK side.

Comic book fans can be such fucking losers. Tony Revolori is a great young actor and I'm pretty sure he makes a great Flash.

This movie doing well is gonna be a huge fuck you to these idiots.

$1 billion

Oh that shit making a quick Billion

Even with exchange rates that aren't great and stiff competition?

New featurette featuring Vulture and some new stuff.

I swear the Vulture is gonna be an even better villain than both the Green Goblin (Spider-Man 1) and Doctor Octopus (Spider-Man 2). And I'll be so thrilled by it as I've wanted to see the Vulture since the very first Spider-Man.

I can't remember the last time I was so hyped for an MCU movie as I am Spider-Man: Homecoming. Maybe Captain America: Civil War, and before that I have no idea. I'm just crossing my fingers that Sony won't go ahead with the rumored Mysterio and Kraven films as I want them to face off with Tom Holland.

I'm thinking who else I want his Spider-Man to go up against. Besides Kraven and Mysterio, I would like The Spot, Chameleon, Gob Goblin, Hammerhead, Morbius, Scorpion and maybe even Hydro Man. Scorpion is probably the one I want the most now tha I got my Vulture.

I am hoping that if Homecoming makes a lot of money, then Sony will be encouraged to take a more back seat role and let Marvel do its thing with the full range of characters.

Personally I am hoping Infinity War and it's sequel introduces the symbiote suit, and then for Homecoming 2 to follow up on it. That way they could maybe handle an MCU Venom movie down the line to sate Sony.

The problem with that is Marvel probably only have the manpower for 1 spidey movie every 2 years or so because they have so many other characters to do, while Sony would want a cinematic universe where they can make 1 or 2 spidey movies per year.

I also hope that Marvel can somehow be involved with these spidey spinoff movies. Maybe just let Marvel do the script and let Sony do the rest.
