COMICS!!! |OT| July 2017 | Princess, I've Seen the Way You Look At Me.

Hmm, so I like Marvel Unlimited for what it was, and I am somewhat fine with not zooming into each panel, although at times it can be hard to read. That said, I tried looking for the current run of Black Panther, and I see the latest issue is #8 from November 16. So if I want to go with Marvel Unlimited, I will have to deal with being behind 8 months from everyone else?

I'm not sure what to feel about that. Although the service seems great for catching up with older series like Ultimate Spider-Man.

It's six months behind on everything by design. If it was release date...LOL Marvel digital monthly and trade sales.

Why can't you zoom in each panel if you want to? I occasionally use that for double page spreads and it works fine.

Its gone on too long and has lost me along the way. I say that as someone who enjoyed Spencers Cap books. I want it to be over and then we can move on.

While I think the event has too many issues, it's only been two months lol. it does feel longer than that though.

Don't believe their lies.

They've commented on how people are tired of big events and the issue with CW2 having so many tie-ins so it's not really that far-fetched. We'll just have to wait and see what what they reveal for summer 2018 to know for sure.

I don't believe them for a single second tbh.

The new Play Arts Magneto figure looks soo good! These last few have been great compared to some of their others, especially Wolverine lol. Wish the price would come down a bit, hopefully I can find them super cheap on sale later on. Gamestop had Cap, Black Widow, and Iron man for $40 each last year!
Link or pic?

I'm not really tired of events and I like them if written well like Infinity and Secret Wars, but I'm just sick of the hero vs hero ones. The amount of those over the past few years has been ridiculous. I think Infinity is the only major one in ages I can think of that didn't have any of that. The huge problem Marvel had with the relaunch after Secret Wars was that new series had barely hit their stride before Civil War 2 started and killed a lot of momentum in the titles that had crossovers *cough* Ultimates *cough* and then they were either cancelled or relaunched again. Rinse, repeat.

Its no coincidence the four Marvel books on my pull list (Infamous Iron Man, Black Panther, Thanos, Black Bolt) are ones that aren't affected at all by crossovers and have been left to do their thing.

So by your own admission, you should read Gwenpool.

So I have to rank the X-books as they are so far, since all of them are multiple issues in aside from Astonishing which hasn't dropped yet.

A tier: books that are largely well-written and have decent to great art all around.
All-New Wolverine
Old Man Logan
X-Men Blue
Jean Grey

B tier: books that are just decent. Okay writing and art with the occasional bright spot. They deliver on the premise and a little more
Cable
Iceman

C tier: books that are mediocre all-around. In all categories. Could always be worse, but very rarely have a "hey this wasn't too bad" moment.
X-Men Gold
Weapon X

D tier: books that are just trash.
Generation X

Also, does anyone else think Banner's kid that Logan took left behind from OML's timeline will show up? Current plot has
Hulk gang showing back up, plus the (almost definitely false) premonition from the Brood arc. I have a strong feeling he will
Doom and The Maker almost certainly do but I thought all the life raft survivors did?
Nope. Most of their memories are erased. Namor, Jane Thor, and Maximus all don't remember. The Richards', Doom, T'Challa, Miles, and Molecule Man are the only ones confirmed to remember as far as I know. I think Thanos does as well.

Got the first two trades of that on Comixology last week since I had a 15% off code. Read the first one so far and it's awesome.
We got another one, boys.
Blue Marvel doesn't really remember it but he's kind of pieced together what happened.

Galactus remembers I'm pretty sure
I reiterate my argument that Marvel needs an Action Comics/Detective Comics type book.

I don't think Galactus does, though his Lifebringer power-up has seemed to grant him higher cosmic awareness. And Molecule Man hinted at it I believe. Or vaguely mentioned it. Keep in mind that I haven't read the most recent issue.

What do you mean? A godlike team-book?

Hey BK, which do you like better between All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men? The Bendis Marvel Now runs.
Uncanny. I've re-read it multiple times and I find it to be a much more interesting premise and arc, though I'm not fond of the Omega Mutant arc. All-New was really good as well, but the last two arcs (Ultimate Adventure and The Utopians) were bleh. Although as of X-Men Blue, Ultimate Adventure is now continuity relevant. It's a case of both runs starting strong with good premises and arcs, but finishing poorly. If I had to say, Uncanny finishes stronger. Both runs are flawed, but I still find them worth reading and good entry points for newbies as there is very little continuity reliance (aside from AvX and maybe Age of Ultron).

I'd go into more detail, but I'm on my phone.

Can someone give me a summary about Shade The Changing Girl?

An alien named Loma Shade uses a device called the Madness Vest to inhabit the body of a teenage girl named Megan on Earth. It turns out Megan was an asshole and everyone hates her.

Kind of a rough summary, but it's worth reading. Easily one of my favorites each month and I can't recommend it enough. The writing and art are fantastic.

I guess I'll have pick up the trade.

So in Black Bolt #2, we have a conundrum: so this book is about redefining Black Bolt by breaking and rebuilding him. It's excellent. So what's the problem? In this issue he
he claims he's not a murderer, and largely he's not, save for two counts (well, really none, but the act still occurred): the first was Maximus. After Max enslaved Blackagar and he broke free, he then dissolved Max's hands with his voice and chucked him into a Himalayan abyss. Max didn't die, but it was the full intent of the act performed. The second was Cyclops. Again, he didn't technically kill Cyclops (psychic fabrication by Emma Frost), but the very act itself says more. Cyclops didn't attack. He walked forward while making a speech, but never actually attacked.

So while true he never has actually murdered someone, the act still exists and happened.

Other than his faces looking similar across different books, Sejic Aquaman is gorgeous. Stunning.

DC should pay him whatever he wants to stay on longer.
