Really like Thomas Bryant. Zubac needs to watch his back.

Kuzma looks really good too. Steal of a pick if he pans out, especially if the Lakers end up losing Randle and/or Nance.

Zo's shooting will get better (it's not good right now lol), but the other parts of his game are much further along than I could have hoped for. He's exciting to watch, makes his teammates better with all these easy looks and pushes the ball down the court constantly. Man, when his shooting gets better though, that's gonna be something.

I always watch Lakers summer league games (I've even attended a few back in the Kobe/Shaq era when I lived in Vegas) and I can't remember the last time there was this much excitement for them. Lakers are always favorites in Vegas and have the crowd behind them, but this year it's something else. Zo is rewarding them.

Im not gonna lie, I wasn't all that enthused when everyone started predicting Zo to Lakers, but hes quickly proved me wrong. Yeah it's just Summer League and all, but I'm impressed by what I see from his type of game. I want a Ball jersey already.

He's at least looking aggressive and aware in playing the lanes. His physical deficiencies are probably going to prevent him from ever being a good man defender, but very few in the league at that position are. If you can surround him with good defenders and rim protectors it's not a huge deal. Like, Dame Lillard, Kyrie Irving, McCollum, even Westbrook last year, all played mediocre to shit defense and are all all stars and played on playoff teams.

Yeah, he's cut passing lanes and stuff.

But he has zero lateral movement on ball. All these D League guys are driving by him easily. They bump twice, and then he swipes at the ball as they go by. James Harden like.

I hope he can get above Dame and Kyrie and those dudes on defense. While I agree 100 percent you'd much rather hide a Dame on defense than a big like Okafor or Kanter, it's still a tricky proposition once the playoffs roll around. You have to be respectable and not just be out and out exposed from the jump or you still do end up giving a healthy amount of value back -- Dame and Kyrie are honestly examples of this even in the regular season.

I think (Hope) he'll be alittle better with his shot selection once he's playing alongside KCP, Randle, Brook and Ingram and won't feel like he'll have to shoulder the scoring load.

Yeah I'm pretty sure his usage will come way down once regular season happens (he's been a turnover machine last couple games as well, which is more what bugs me a bit). Also there's no way he's this bad a shooter.

KD was the same way

Everyone gotta chill for a bit, use it to see his progression which has been good. He's getting better every game for different things.

All I care about is the W anyways, dude could get a 0/0/0/0/0 with 5 TOs as long as we win idc

commentators seem high on it, but I'm not sure I'd call this a "good game". 6-20 2-10 from 3with 7 TOs and a good amount of rebounds were long ones to him. Defense was mixed too. Bad on the ball but some nice steals. His handle got interrupted at least on several occasions.
