I mean, my point was simply that the scene was made worse by the fact that I was eating when it happened, but if that's ^^ what you want to take away from my post, then alright ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think his comment still stands. You go into Game of Thrones expecting blood, guts, and dismemberment, and all manner of sexual intercourse and yet you still chose to overlap your nightly meal with the show.

Guys, don't go see Dunkirk or you will shit a brick when you see Harry Styles.

I'm more shocked by the people who don't even know who he is. Considering you can't listen to any radio station that has pop music for more than 5 minutes before one of his like 8 hit songs comes on.

Preview:

Motherfucker saying "a Targaryen can not be trusted" to said Targaryen's nephew, has my blood boiling. Nephew is also the progeny of the greatest prince that ever was. LF make this bad man fly!

Another thing I just realised:

Jon being a Targaryen is going to be a problem for some of these fuck sticks isn't it? If this is how they react to Dany showing up, I wonder what happens when they find out about Jon's papa.

I seriously don't understand how Euron built all thos ships so fast.

Shouldn't that have taken years ?

How much time has past since last season?

A half a year at most? Considering Dany was joined at sea by the Tyrells and Martells at the end of S6. It should only take a few weeks to reach Dragonstone from Dorne, if that. But considering Euron started building the fleet about halfway through S6, and we see Theon and Yara sail to Essos and back by the end. Maybe 6 months?

This is so much of an "edgelord" that I cant even.

But werk.
Because you gotta be an edgelord to not love the Starks. Please. Cersei is a much more fun and interesting character than any of the Starks, and all of them are coming for her head. It's only natural that I want them dead.

Euron is gonna get the rightful "King" isn't he? Arya's friend.. the dead King's illegitimate son, forget his name.

Dude had a better scene in this episode than the entire previous season combined. Love how much of a total dick he is. Suit is looking fly as well.

this season is a ticking timebomb on when Cersei dies.

As far as everyone who even knew he existed is considered, he was killed.

Well, aside from Davos and Melisandre, and I don't see either of those coming into contact with Euron.

How is a bastard the "rightful" king of anything? Not to mention Cersei did to his line (usurped the throne) what Robert did to the Targaryens (except he failed to get them all, and there now at least one if not two legitimate Targaryen heirs).

You can't believe in usurping being a rightful claim while also having any Targaryen be considered legitimate. Regardless, you're right that Gendry doesn't really mean shit.

That did seem crazy, but especially with S6 there have been a number of strange timeline issues, so who knows. That's a huge number of very nice ships built pretty damn quickly.

Earlier thrones seasons were good about letting you know that there is passage of time when people travel. Does the show really need to make it obvious that people aren't teleporting from place to place? People should know this without the show having to hit you over the head with it.

Lol that's what I'm saying. If Gendry is the rightful king (ignoring him being a bastard), well how does that work when Cersei effectively ended the Baratheon line? If Gendry the bastard is rightful because Cersei's claim is rejected, than legitimate (as in non bastard) Targs have even more of a claim right? I think usurping becomes legitimate if you succeed in wiping out all members of the previous royal family. So as long as there has been living Targs, Robert was still a pretender.

I knew exactly who he was but I don't think I've ever heard one of his songs.

Two things:

1) Was that house that Sandor & the Fireboys were at something that appeared in the show before?

2) Dragonstone seems special; was it an ancestral home for Targaryens or am I making that up in my head?

1. I was getting those vibes from the scene, especially when the Priest asked Hound if he knew them, but I can't seem to remember it

2. It just became special. It's the only source of Dragon Glass confirmed in Westeros. Jon/Dany alliance is a go

Usurping is just right of conquest. Robert won his war so he was the rightful king. It's why Dany required an army to go back to Westeros regardless of who's in charge at the time she arrives. She has to take that shit back by force. Legitimacy is just perception after all.

Practically every third post and reaction vid for the S6 finale had people confused about thinking Varys teleported from Dorne to Dany at the end.

The Hound and Arya had visited that farm before, the daughter and father fed them. The Hound later stole the father's gold/silver.

Dragonstone is where Stannis used to live and where Dany was born. It's a special place for the Targaryens.

Jamie knows they're fucked.

They're going to be besieged, Cersei will have all of Kings Landing's sewers lined with wildfire barrels. She'll order the whole thing be blown up (like the mad king "burn them all" in S1 story that Jaime told to Robert) and Jaime will kill Cersei to stop her, just like with the Mad King.

Bran's uncle told him that the wall was magic and more than just an ice barrier, I wonder if him passing though the wall with the mark of the Night King will negate the magic like what happened back in the root cave.

His blood made Mel's magic work, so there's something kingly about him.

I guess it was cool to see Arya murder all those people dressed as Walder, but it felt like an unnecessary and unsurprising scene. Like, we know that's Arya, we know that's poison, we know she's killing them all

Felt like it should've just been referenced by Jaime, we didn't need that cold open

Doing the expected thing would be less satisfying than history not repeating itself. Cersei kills Jaime. The Lannister she cares for most is the one she actually kills by her own hands

Huh. A pretty simple twist, but not a bad way to do it. I wouldn't be mad. Her character is leaning more towards that direction than Jaime's anyway. He seems to still care about her (for w/e fucking reason), and she seems to not care about her family at all anymore (calling Tommen a traitor).

Yep. Ed Sheeran's cameo and him freaking singing really took me out. Couldn't take anything serious after that, questioned everything.

It's an okay opener. I mostly disliked everything that wasn't part of the North.

Unsurprising for who? It may have been guessed by some, but let's not assume that it wasn't a surprise for the vast majority, especially when they frame it as a flashback at first

The impact was ace - I didn't expect it

And I've been avoiding actively any GoT talk all year.

10/10 - would include it again

Dat Cameo though
I couldn't take that scene seriously once I saw him
