Its everyone in Tekken 7 just evil?

Or pure evil. While driving today i was thinking about how everyone in Tekken 7 wants just to conquer the world and everything. Also 2 of 3 DLC characters are just pure evil.

What happened in the Tekken universe? There's no heroes? or somebody who actually wants to help people?

Heihachi just wants to get rid of the devil, ain't nothin' wrong with that.

Jin sent the world into chaos to unwake an ancient evil so that he could destroy it. P noble if u ask me.

And there is not an ounce of evil in Leo.

It's partially why I'm not into Tekken's stories because it seems like characters just flip-flop between good and bad on the turn of a hairpin. It gets too weird.

Lars and Alisa are good and want to help people ever since the story mode from Tekken 6. Xiaoyu is also good and only wants to help her boyfriend (Jin).

Jin Kazama
is actually good. (revealed after the Tekken 6 ending)

I'm having problems remembering a fighting game where the most public or famous characters are villains. I just cannot think Tekken without Kazuya or Heiachi. Now Akuma and Geese Howard.

Who its next? A Soul Calibur villain?

Is plunging the world into a horrible world war so you can beat the devil up really all that good? I don't feel like the ends justify the means here.

Jin
was actually good the whole time in Tekken 6, though he had to make a tough call to lure out Azrael prematurely to have a chance at stopping him. I'd put him as Chaotic Good at best & Chaotic Neutral at worst.

If the evil demon can just get bodied by Jin, did we really need to wake it up in the first place?

This reminds me like Mortal Kombat. Sub-Zero and Scorpion are not actually evil. But just look at those guys. In the series being good was so boring that Liu-Kang die because of that!

Look at it. Is this the face of evil?

The Mishimas are scumbags but Jin is more like an anti-hero.

Yeah Jin's position in the story always tends to be on the hero side, but the whole starting a world war thing complicates matters.

Heihachi is more a mob boss, but not really evil to the core like Kazuya.

Lars and Lee are more on the heroic side.

Jin is not evil, he is just a moron.

He still fucking caused a world war and let millions of people die. I think calling Jin a hero post-T6 is still pretty debatable.

Lars and Alisa are basically the only core-story characters that aren't shitty in some way.

You know Tekken 7 really reframes Hehachi quite a bit.
The fact that he threw Kazuya off the cliff was a direct result of knowing he got the devil gene from his mother. Not saying that Hehachi isn't still his own brand of asshole (cause he is) but I would say after Tekken 7 he actually seems way more sympathetic and his cause understandable.

Start a world war to lure out someone who only came out because of the world war.

Heihachi (and Geese) are such shithead bad fathers that you put fucking Akuma in there and he somehow becomes the noble one.

Well Akuma is not "i wanna conquer the world mwahahaha!" evil, he's just a guy who takes fighting too seriously and thinks it's totally cool to kill your oponent in sportmanship combat.

Paul Phoenix is the only good guy in the entire universe.

He was waiting in line for his limited edition copy of the most recent Tales game and fucking Bryan Fury cut the line and took the last bundled phone strap that they were giving out only in that location.

Fuck Bryan. And so Paul's adventure began.

Yeah Akuma and Heiachi are not bad exactly. But the way they do shit doesn't justify anything.

Geese Howard, now thats a bastard. Now you are going to tell me that next character reveal its Shao-Khan or some shit

I know T7's story tried really hard
to portray Heihachi as sympathetic since his entire goal was trying to stop the devil gene
but he has still tried to murder his son (and his grandson) ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS

Basically just about every Mishima (except for Jun and Lars) has done so much fucked up shit that I don't think you can possibly call them heroes despite what they were trying to do. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Whats there to hate about Mishima?

Heihachi wants to kill his son and grandson. Kazuya his father and son. Jin his father and grandfather. I'd say those would make for excellent neighbours.

After Lucky Chloe's character episode, she's easily the most evil character in the roster. I wouldn't be surprised if she turns out to be the true final boss of Tekken 8.

Was there another reveal besides Geese? I didn't really keep up with all the Evo news.

But on-topic: Yeah, I also don't like this general direction in Tekken where everyone is just a bad guy (be it "tragic" like Jin or a normal villanous type like Heihachi) from top to bottom. Of course there are exceptions, but they are few and far between, mostly the girls and animals. I hope after the Mishima saga they are going in a more World Warrior-esque or martial arts tournament direction, like King of the Iron tournament should be.

Azrael is a monster that would have emerged & destroyed everything. Jin lured him out early (& I think at a weaker state) by creating conflict to bait Azrael.
