Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is up on US Netflix

Really looking forward to watching this.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
I really enjoyed it and thought the blind guy was one of the best Star Wars characters yet.

Really interested to see how my enjoyment of the movie holds up on a rewatch. The first half of the movie is pretty slow and a tad messy but the second half of the movie is pretty good, and has probably the second best space battle in the franchise.

Lack of characterization seems to be the biggest complaint about the movie, yet for me the Rogue One characters had more depth to them than any of the prequel characters, even for how little time they spent on them.

Final scenes in 4k 3D Laser IMAX was zonkers.

Disney just giving it away, I guess they know how bad it is.

Huh? Netflix pays to show these movies. All the Marvel movies are on there too, are those also terrible?

Still not got round to watching it yet. Obviously won't be on UK Netflix either!

Though I refuse to believe that anything with Mads Mikkelsen in it could be bad.

I cared more about [R1 SPOILER]
that droid dying
than I did about Padme dying or Anakin turning.

Haven't seen it - looking forward to checking it out! I just like Star Wars in general so it really doesn't have to be THAT good to keep me entertained.

Meanwhile you can't even digitally rent The Force Awakens anywhere

It's real obnoxious

Hasn't it been like $10 which includes a digital copy? Could always redeem it and sell off the physical if you really want it digitally.

And Rogue One was pretty good, the second half (or whatever) is friggin fantastic.

It's a mess of a movie. Was bored out of my mind at the theatre. First act is just pointless cinematic universe shenanigans and the second act was also inconsequential. The lead character character development is laughable while the supporting cast is paper thin. And to top it off, it tries to cram fan service into every single scene which becomes really obnoxious very soon.

This killed all my Star Wars hype even if I enjoyed TFA quite a bit. I'm full blackout on TLJ so I'm hoping that might invigorate my interest on the trilogy, but I'm probably not watching any of the "story" movies.

I probably rolled my eyes the same as when with ROTS, sarcastic quips for humor included.

I've seen this twice and while I like it overall, I dunno if I can rewatch it anytime soon (like within the next year). The first half is a bit of a mess and a slog but the second half is pretty good and has the best space battle in Star Wars so... ehhh.

I guess I'll buy it on 4K way down the line.

Wants to outlaw technological innovation.
It at least does more original ideas than Force Awakens. I think both are only average films though. I really am hoping The Last Jedi gives us a good Star Wars again.

I really have no desire to watch this movie again, and that's coming from a huge Star Wars fan. Painfully mediocre.

Oh shut up. It was overall great. It was how I remembered Star Wars as a kid, but updated for now. Fan service aside it's the Dirty Dozen of Star Wars films and we'll never get anything like it again.

I liked this film a lot. This thread is kinda odd to me. Because I remember the consensus on GAF being "Wow, so much better than TFA" when it came out. Which, I disagreed with, as I think TFA is a much stronger film, but this is also great.
