More of those are always welcome. I buy a lot of their stuff anyway but the bundles are great for getting the smaller series. Stuff like Dalek Empire and I, Davros which would be a bit risky to pay full price for.

I really want The Light at the End at some point as well as I was gifted it on CD but have no way to rip it.

Sooooo these may not be the best screenshots but having just beaten Lords of Shadow 2, there are some funny, to say the least, changes made to 2 characters from the previous game.
So as not to spoil for anyone, I'll just link the images and you can see for yourself what I mean :p (2nd set is rather NSFW)

Well yeah that's part of the reason Cold Steel sold so well for them in Japan; why do think the blonde chick in Ys 8 wears shorts and has her navel exposed?

How is the second game compared to the first?

I don't remember ever seeing that Cold Steel art, I don't think it was used to promote the console version.
Feels like they're going with a different angle for the steam release...
It's a really poor choice to represent the game, Fie is painfully out of character.

Hmm it has it's pros and cons, I will be using spoiler tags just in case.

Let me start with the cons
1- Stealth sections: These serve no purpose. Granted at the START of the game you get why you need to do it, but over time they become uninspired and unneeded. There is even a section where you must
stealthly go through a garden and avoid being detected by an enemy; if he finds you, you die and need to restart the area. Once you complete the area: You fight him as a boss.
This is illogical: Why not just have me fight him? Why have me go through such a tedious stealth section where I could die in 1 hit, but then I battle him and can sustain some hits.

2- The game is rather uneven with its
Castle and Modern era
sections: Early on you go through a lengthy area of the
Castle era
but afterwards, any areas set in it are rather short, far shorter than the early sections. Whereas the
Modern era
has you go through the areas and battle enemies with a few light puzzle and platforming sections along the way. Visuals wise, the
Castle era
is much better looking due to its gothic design.

3- There can sometimes be armored enemies that can only be damaged by using the somersault move to get behind them and attack them with your main weapon. Alt. you can use Fire Powers to damage their armor and break it, but that will consume your fire powers meter, which is pretty small early on. It can be irritating when 2 armored enemies gang up on you and you try to damage one but the other interrupts. This is doubly so if you ran out of Fire Power energy and against an armored enemy.

4- This is a minor one, but I felt like there are way too many upgrade and colletables in the game. For example there are a total of 90 upgrade gems, 30 for health, 30 for Ice/Healing powers and 30 for Fire power. IMO having to get 5 just to upgrade your health just felt like them putting out needlessly more collectables to pad the game out. Furthermore there are 16 Kleidos nails you can collect: 4 nails unlock a challenge arena to test your skills. Now having to find an item to unlock a challenge is fine, but why do I have to collect 4 Nails just to unlock 1 Challenge arena? It's rather pointless when the nails serve no other purpose.
Doesn't help that the Nails require you to watch a scene of Dracula cutting the lower side of his wrest on a blade as a sacrifice in order to get a Nail, imagine having to see that 16 times, eugh.

Pros
1- There is a no QTE option, which is a neat addition, as the previous game would penalize you for failing a QTE, but here you no longer need to worry about it.

2- Combat is improved for the most part, esp. since now the camera can be rotated, but in some sections it remains zoomed out, but it isn't too big a problem since unblockable attacks are telegraphed better in this game, so you know when to block and when to dodge.

3- You actually are given a motivation to use all your combat skills: Using an attack skill has it gain experience points which you then accumulate to strengthen you weapon for it to be stronger and deal better damage. While some skills do feel weak or tricky to pull off, you can at least max out the main whip weapon in due time and have deal respectable damage to enemies.

That's it off the top of my head for now. It's 1 AM atm and I am a little dizzy so apologies if some stuff doesn't seem clear ^^;

It's okay.
It has a few press A for awesome sections and some really bad set pieces, as well as the terrible stealth sections. The stealth stuff was a bit overblown during review time, they are short and easy but suck and shouldn't be in the game all the same.
It gets going faster than the first game, but has some real dull level and environment design on the modern half of the game, but the castle sections look glorious. The combat is excellent and the music is excellent.
The story is kind of dumb but in a way that I like.

It's just them randomly picking a different official artwork from the game, nothing about "a different angle" for this release

Are the tier 1 games from Crystal Dynamics bundle just one Steam key? what happens if I already have the Soul Reaver games and try to activate this unique key?

Somehow I doubt Zwei II's priced higher than Xanadu Next. The latter took less work, but only two people have been working on Zwei: Ilvard Insurrection at XSEED, just like Ys VI which required an all-new script (not just an edit). And the work on Ys Seven's almost all porting + Tom making script edits of his own, so there's no substantial reason to jump the price up. Both games are clearly older and will need some kind of signal boost to match $20 + launch discount, but I think XSEED only priced Trails SC/3rd at $30 because those games took more work and are more exclusive based on who beat previous games.

Just use the built in install mover within steam. You need to setup libraries in settings. Once you do that you can go to any game properties in steam and move it.

Also ontop of steam cloud you should use game save manager as another safety backup for saves.

Okay back in. Oddly my PC said "Overclocked failed"

Wonder when my PC decided to OC itself as I haven't done it. So went into BIOS and just clicked load defaults and save and reset.

Then some kind of windows troubleshooter boots. Advanced Options and Restart my PC. Went into adv and turned off.

Then I launched it. I did notice a RED light on the memory light before, but its off now.

So my two thoughts are it is either the PSU or my memory.

Not really a game but Codecademy has "gamified" interactive tutorials. They're not necessarily the best way to learn but they're a decent way to get familiar with the basics.

As for actual games, TIS-100 and Shenzhen I/O by Zachtronics are pretty great but they're mostly about assembly and might be a little overwhelming for a complete beginner.

Try code combat. That worked well enough for me to gain a decent base of knowledge at first.

Just finished the last of Disney Infinity playsets available in the Steam versions. Quite frankly, I think this series is a lot better done than the Lego crossover games, the only other real competition in the family-friendly licensed games department. The controls are better, the characters are more individualized, and there's greater variety in gameplay. It's a real shame that Disney cancelled the series right before it could get around to having a fully-featured all-character campaign.

I've finished 3.0's playsets, but I see myself playing around with this game for a while yet. I wanna max out as many characters' levels as I can, mess around with the farming and toy box, and check out Toy Box Takeover before I uninstall.

Anyone here played the Fallout 3 DLC The Pitt?

One of the more interesting choices you have to make in a rpg in recent time.

Choosing between Ashur and Werhner, who did you guys pick?

I picked Ashur. His men are vile and extremely unhinged but at the end of the day he had a clear vision on what was gonna happen to the slaves while Werhner was simply power hungry in his pursuit of revolution. (He doesn't actually give a shit about the slaves.)

How's Children of Zodiarcs turning out? It seems to hit all the right beats, SRPG, turn based, card mechanics, guns... Just unsure about the story.

I've only played a couple of hours so far, the mechanics are good, enjoying the whole card decks and dice selection. Graphics and performance are great. The story well... the writing is average, juvenile and out of place. I'm not looking for something Shakespearean but "Life is Strange" did this much much better. One particularity unlikable character constantly refers to another as chickenshit all the time, like it's the only word she knows.

The only other issue is the animations take sooooooooooo long. You kill someone, I know they are dead, they know they are dead, the game knows they are dead, EVERYONE knows they are dead but the game just waits for 10 seconds for no reason.
