I don't think so, Bubble Thanos was ass and needed to be changed. Classic Venom is like perfect, aesthetically anyway.
His moveset was pretty garbage in MvC1. He'd have to be get a lot of stuff to bring him up to par with everybody else.
Thanos isn't really that different. He's got a lot of the same normals. His unicorn thing has been changed to a punch move that makes more sense. Instead of bubbles he's got energy balls (wtf was the bubble anyway?).
He's got almost all of the core moves he had in MSH/MvC2 and a lot more to play with.

Probably with that is if they aren't lying about the DLC being all newcomers right? Unless Monster Hunter and Meio are DLC

What makes you think they are interested in doing some extra creative work?
Because it's cheaper than doing a constantly morphing character in 3D.
Yeah I guess you are right, but they have things to model it after currently vs. creating a whole new moveset. At least there are no animations they can steal from MvsC3 that I can think of.

The only argument to be had there is Jedah. Since they did a good job translating all his stuff when they could've toned down a lot.
I agree old Venom was awful, but is there anything specific you guys would like to see them do with the character?

I'd definitely like to see the morphing aspect of Venom's classic MVC moveset remain.
Venom could take some things from Super-skrull have long-range grabs or far reaching specials and normals where he morphs his hands into weapons
they could incorporate something like X-23's dirt nap invisibility into his moveset since the symbiote can camouflage itself
somehow incorporate the symbiote's ability to produce tentacles and tendrils to attack with

No Ant Man/Meio even as DLC?
You forgot Ghost Rider.Calling it right now, the mystery Capcom character is gonna be DLC, alongside Winter Soldier. And it's gonna be Lady, explaining why they removed Dante's moves with her weapon.
Initial roster is gonna look like this:
The time has passed for Meio to be revealed as a playable character, base or DLC.

I still don't think it's Lasy. Those moves got removed sure. But that doesn't always necessarily mean it was for something like that.

Johnny Blaze, most likely (as it was in UMvC3).
Blaze, obviously. Like Richard Rider's Nova, he's the most famous/iconic Ghost Rider and already has a move set.

Well, if you see Frank West's model in Dead Rising 4 then you would see why people would like to forget all about him at the moment.
I haven't play the game but I always heard a major complaint by the fans about the game is that Frank West doesn't look like Frank West anymore.
Also Frank West is trying to be Thor.
By that logic Monster Hunter should be the Fire Emblem of this franchise.
Not much about this game does.
