I want to like him, but I can never play more than 1-2 games at a time before stepping away.

It's like, here I'm a support tank.

But I really can't live through much.

And I hit with a paper sword.

I don't think there's a more awkward hero to play than Tyrael. It all feels like they just slapped the roulette wheel for everything but his ults.

When you are low health and see someone between lanes.

Yeah, his moveset is extremely lame. He needs a rework from the ground up, because playing as Tyrael should be goddamn HYPE. Auriel and Malthael are perfect compared to him.

I like the ults (though I do think Sanctification is a bit broken given what it's done in the competitive scene). Would dig seeing him reworked.

Just based on this Act 3 video from Diablo 2, I have always imagined Tyrael fighting with his wings like Auriel does:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6YEaH_97Wc

If I wanted to keep Tyrael as a tank, I would work him like this:

Q - Angelic Charge
Charge an enemy target at medium range, dealing damage.

W - Lasso Toss (targets like Ragnaros' meteor)
Enemies hit by Tyrael's wing are thrown in the direction you choose for a medium length. Thrown enemies go over terrain.

E - Grapple (targets like Auriel's wall stun)
The first enemy hit by Tyrael's wing becomes entangled in it, and is rooted for a short period of time.

Heroic 1 - Divine Flight
Tyrael flies to a location on the map; target is a medium-sized circle. When he lands, any enemies caught within the circle are pinned by his wings for a short period of time.

Heroic 2 - Piercing Sword
Tyrael throws his sword along a line. Any targets hit lose a percentage of their health.

D Trait - Tyrael's Justice
When Tyrael deals damage to an enemy, that enemy loses some armor. This effect stacks up to [X] armor lost.

This is how I have always imagined Tyrael fighting - flying in and throwing people around with his wings, pinning others down, and just generally being kind of a team disrupter. I'm not saying my ideas are great or perfect, but it would be a lot more fitting and fun than what we have now. I try to stay away from numbers because people tend to focus more on them than the ideas I present. -_-

His trait is definitely super lame but I came around on tyreal awhile ago. He's actually super fun and his base kit is really good. I think his problem is that all of his talents except for holy ground are lame boring and unimpactful.

I think if he got a talent rework along the lines of tyrande/alarak/thrall he could be super fun.

Don't you dare touch tyrael. He has one of the most rewarding kits in the game.

His mobility has been dwarfed but he's still a god at being difficult to lock down.

His only problem really remains how mana hungry he is. They could give him a 2nd trait.

Also his trait is super lame! He should blow up instantly or something. Or have his abilities baseline during trait.

Slow people inside the aoe before it pops

I like the slow idea, nobody would ever focus him early in fights so he could really be a nusence in the back line

The first time I played Tyrael I thought the Q talent that creates a barrier locked someone in with you. Then I found out what it really does - lol!

you seem super offended I'm playing wow but you forget that its the same friends list, and I NEVER see you play hots either... so whats up with that homey?

Listen, I know that killing turkeys is a demanding task and requires all your attention and concentration so maybe that's why you're missing it. I hear old age will do that to you.

Damn, Rhaknar spitting flames.

Also, I thought I was the one in thread who would question Rhaknar and potential burnout and get his hackles raised/a snarky defensive response. That's my job Altairre, you're taking my livelihood man. =/

It's tough out there man. You gotta take what you can get.

Second teaser today during HGC China or some players stream I guess? Idk, saw it on Reddit and can't make out exactly where the teaser is being shown

Edit: it's a picture of Orgrimmar... Garrosh 😢

Hah, I knew it!

Also, to those despairing that he'll be a bruiser and not a tank, that's not necessarily true. His Hearthstone incarnation's main unique mechanic/specialty is armor, which allows him to block large amounts of damage there. He could very well be a tank in HotS, if they lean on mechanics like that.

Apparently there may be a reveal in about two hours per someone translating the Chinese stream, and it's a hero first playable at ChinaJoy like Auriel.

Garrosh incoming boys!

Time to armor up into tank up into residentsleeper...

I'd be kind of surprised if Garrosh was a tank instead of a bruiser. Lore wise he's an aggressive axe person.

Magni actually makes a lot more sense for how the Hearthstone class plays unless you're doing something like Pirate Warrior, but it's modeled off of how the World of Warcraft class works instead of Garrosh himself.

It could have been a cool character. Instead it's Garrosh. :|

Yep, absolutely. Still don't understand why he's the default warrior in Hearthstone - was that decision made when they were going through their weird phase of trying to sell the player base on Garrosh?

Multiple WoW expansions of Garrosh just wasn't enough!

Starting to get used to that McIntyre Tyrande build and holy shit, it's kind of insane. You're a better ganker than most stealthies and have a lot more sustain. When you approach with Shadowstalk you can almost always land the mark into stun into owl and that's a shit ton of damage (and with the 13 talent you also slow them and reduce the damage which is fantastic). If you catch someone split pushing or by themselves somewhere that hero is super dead if they can't get away after the initial combo. Running around stealthed at mount speed means you can gather a lot of information as well.

If you have follow up like in the game I just played, thanks to Prelude's Tracer and a Varian, you can just delete people out of existance without them having any chance to react (the enemy Genji died 10 times thanks to that). Not to mention that it's a really fun playstyle even if it requires a lot of concentration on my part (probably because I suck). Got that MVP award though.

The "leaked" list of heroes is checking out so far.

I'm not sure if I want it to be real because I'd like Anna, but not Junkrat.

I was testing that out in vs ai before you logged in, and it's pretty fun. But I'm not sure you can pull that off often with QM rules. You probably need either a main healer or no real support on the other side, like a split pusher Aba, in order to act like an assassin.

Heh, greetings. I will crush you!

Edit: Not too upset w/ Garrosh. Definitely not on my "can't wait for this hero" list, but knew he was coming because of Hearthstone if nothing else sooner or later.

Also if Kel'Thuzad is next...be still, my heart.

Hopefully KTZ is still a secondary support. We definitely need more of both those and full healers.

edit: Oh shit, I got hung up on Alexstraza being a dragon that I didn't even realize she'd obviously be a healer as well. Two healers and a secondary support? Sweeeet.

I should try out the stun at 20, even though the damage reduction on iceblade arrows is really nice. As far as that build in qm goes I'm not so sure about it. You can still put out a decent amount of healing, I was mostly healing teammates in that game we played. I'd say that build is fine against other sustain heroes but I'll have to try it out more. Definitely the build I'll go with for a while from now on.

I wish they'd just get the Warcraft III remaster out of the way, so I could know the context of these DeviantArt names. Or maybe I should just play the original, it's still 3D after all.

Garrosh was only introduced during World of Warcraft when they decided they needed to make the plot significantly worse.

Kel'Thuzad was in Warcraft 3 though.

Another poster on Reddit backing that Alexstraza is at Blizzcon, but knows nothing more, only that she's in the HOTS cinematic trailer.
