That Naboonews Website is pretty good.
I like this one:

Any other Blogs that are more small reports and opinion pieces on Star Wars?

Edit: I see that Carrie Fisher biography gets a release in tradepaperback this fall, is it worth it?

Totes. That's what happens when there's no oversight and people write books between movies.

Well Splinter was like, the start of the EU, so it is somewhat unfair to hold it up to even later standards lol.

To think once upon a time, our SW book collection was, novelizations, SotME, Han Solo at Stars End, some random issues of the Marvel comics, two collected paperback collections of the Marvel UK comics and a horde of kids' books. And we would reread them over and over and over. (Till one day we finally tracked down the other two Han Solo books after getting one of those Guides to Star Wars that mentioned them!) Such simple times.

They're doing it so Pablo doesn't go insane.

Pablo went insane quite some time ago. There's a reason he purged his followers and decided to draw a Transformer a day! :p At least he didn't run screaming from me at Celebration.

This just arrived this morning:

I've only just given it an initial look but it seems very unique in the pantheon of Star Wars coffee table books. Battles from the prequels through TFA are covered, with a standard format being applied, having sections for "eyewitness" reports, as well as personnel present and vehicles/ships that were part of each conflict. I'll have to spend some time with it to determine if it is "good", but I can already say that it is unique.

I completely forgot this was coming out after the release date changed so many times.

Do post your thoughts on it if you get chance ghostmind. I'm curious whether it's worth picking up.

That looks really freakin cool actually

Apparently a bunch of people are unhappy with the book
basically canonizing that one deleted scene from Empire that has Hobbie kamikazing into Veers' AT-AT.

Honestly makes me more likely to pick it up to see if they've included any other cool lore nuggets, but to each his or her own.

Disappointed it is not white and black like normal FO ships. Unless the specific ship here is Kylo Ren's and sports unique colors.

Also, what does the "vn" stand for? That is, any ideas until we get official answers.
The normal TIE Fighter's designation is TIE/ln, meaning "line". But "vn"... Evidently Silencer isn't actual model name, just given name.

Maul had some beautiful art. I wish the mainline Star Wars comic could look half as good.

Poe was pretty enjoyable too. It seems like the story is finally coalescing.

Instead of a trailer we're getting Ron Howard pictures.

I've bitched about in the comic book thread a bit, but they keep getting the artist that did the art for the first Darth Vader, and I honestly have no idea why, he is pretty fucking terrible. You would think they would care to get amazing artist for Star Wars, but they rarely do.

Marvel wants to pump out Star Wars comics and he works quick.

Probably not too surprising, but the Russo Brothers are interested in directing a Star Wars movie

I'd definitely be up for that.

Looks like the TIE Silencer has been added to the databank.

Reminiscent in design of the Empire's TIE interceptor and Darth Vader's TIE advanced, Kylo Ren's TIE silencer is an angular fighter equipped with laser cannons and missile launchers. Ren is an expert pilot -- thanks to skills passed down from his father -- which he puts to use in exploiting his ship's speed and ferocity. There is no other First Order craft like the TIE silencer, and it is an effective tool in Ren's mission to destroy the Resistance.

Man, I really hope they still do one, I dont want a different kind of release between all the Star Wars Collectors Editions I own.

Fucking Target. If anyone from US-GAF has a idea how I can get one of these and have them arrive in germany, please help me.

Part of the reason he isn't because it is impossible timing wise, 9 will be in pre-production and getting ready to shoot while he is still finishing up post-production on 8.

Yeah, while TFA was being made, Rian was hard at work with TLJ, he'd even watch all the dailies to help him with writing the characters. I'm sure that while TLJ was/is being made, the same thing is happening with Episode 9.

And Rian even had JJ make some changes to 7 to accommodate story lines in 8. Of course, the other side of that coin is that, God help us, Colin is making suggestions for changes to 8 for 9.

I'm glad we finally have synopses for Legends of Luke Skywalker and Princess of Alderaan. I'm particularly looking forward to the latter.

When are they going to let Claudia write Lost Stars II though?!

I'm in for all of these apart from Star Wars Made Easy. Both the Leia and Luke books sound really good.

Sooner rather than later hopefully!
