Out of nowhere.

Looks like there's a location test next week?

Some pics of the cabinet:

With Sega on board, I think that would make Koei Tecmo and Konami the only major Japanese console publishers who don't have at least one UE4 game in development.

Well, I guess it depends how we count Level-5. Maybe we should swap them with Konami these days?

I'm not sure why this exists when we already have Daytona 3 but I'm not going to complain about another Sega arcade racer.

Now for fuck's sake Sega, get the Ferrari license back and make Outrun 3.

A Japan Team within Sega probably. This is not looking something they outsourced to a west team (look at daytona 3 for that)

Hopefully. I am scared about Daytona 3 for this reason. They also have a team in China that churns out shit like the Transformers rail shooter. And then they've been partnering with Codemasters for some arcade stuff as well.

Look at the shifter on the cabinet. IIRC, didn't Daytona 3 ditch the 4 speed shifter in favor of a simplified shift up/shift down? This looks at least 4 speed.
I can feel those sweet 60fps already. This must be AM2 right guys? guys...?
It's not AM2

My first reaction was buying this out of principal. Then I scrolled down and found out it was an arcade game.

Sega, I love you. There's nothing wrong with releasing arcade games but...please...

definitely hope for a home port, but being an arcade game first is generally a good thing

I don't think this is coming home, sadly. None of SEGA's arcade racers have in a very long time.

On the plus side it'll probably show up in western Round 1's. They have Initial D 8.

Going by the "dimples" on the top and bottom...honestly looks like a 5 speed shifter...maybe with reverse as the last slot.

This does look nice - hopefully I can access an arcade that has this to try out.

I don't expect this to hit home though, they've been not great at keeping the licensing historically when it comes to these things (like Sega Rally PC though I still see Sega Rally 3 in arcades)

Also notable is that the cabinet has "Sega Motorsports Works" written on it. A possible umbrella name for new racing projects from Sega?

Does Konami still fall into that category? Aren't their only announced console releases just Metal Gear Survive and this year's Pro Evo?
