Props to Chris Hemsworth for owning this from the getgo. Slow burn Robert Downey Jr level casting. I had my doubts but he made me eat my words.

It's like Marvel Studios realized their own flaw of making movies that pretend to have stories with stakes covered with wise-cracking jokers and decided that they don't care and crank up the dumb comic book bullshit to 11.

And I love it.

Yowza, immediately recognised that synth line >:). I thought I'd see Perturbator or Carpenter Brut used in the mainstream first but tbh a solid choice all the same. Rad trailer, looking forward to seeing this.

This movie looks cool as hell. I love the color, Marvel's movies have been a bit too grey for my tastes so I am so happy with the change in direction.
eh, i actually think the colourgrading is really subduing the amount of colour and is making certain scenes look a bit too grey in my opinion. i'm not usually a stickler for the mcu colour grading (especially for the more grounded films) but after gotg2 had super vibrant colours i thought they were gonna embrace a more bright and colourful look for their cosmic stuff in general. desaturating the visuals really seems at odds with the world they're trying to create here - there's a lot of colours present but none of them are 'popping'. i hope it ends up being a case similar to gotg2 where the final film looked more colourful than it's earlier trailers.

Looks really fun, looking forward to it...

Though, interesting that not many don't care that Thor is a completely different person in this movie versus the last 4-5 times we've seen him. They've taken his different personality in that office short and expanded it into a full movie.

I think it's because nobody liked the old Thor. Or they only did during those fish out of water moments in Thor 1 when he acted like an ass.

I don't know what timeline I live in where a Thor movie looks like it could easily be cape film of the year during a REALLY loaded year

But I wouldn't have it any other way

Surtur at the end of the trailer legit shook me, I know he was a major part of the early 2000s Ragnarok story but I hadn't heard any indication he would appear in this film

It's kinda a return to form to the dum-dum Thor in the first Thor film, I feel. Before he became boring in The Dark World. So that's good.

Did not care at all for the previous two but this one actually looks like a fun time

Bless up to waititi.

Not bothered by thor being goofier and more laid back. It's an improvement

A company being excited for their new game is a huge slap in the face to all the fans that liked their old games.
Fucking. Wow.

The music, the visuals...that Hela vs Asgardians shot looked like a fucking PAINTING.

Hulk actually looks like Banner.

Holy shit this looks so good all over...

I think I'm most impressed with Hela's big dumb spikes.

Like, in the first trailer, she's wearing it during the big artsy war against the valkyries, which I assume is a flashback sequence. But otherwise we just see her with her hair down. And I figured, okay, they'll have a callback to her comic look in that one scene and keep her more down-to-earth for the rest of the movie.

But no! She's rocking the big dumb spikes all the time! Like, for a majority of the trailer! They're all in on the big dumb spikes!

It's such a big departure from the first two movies, where Thor and Loki had all of their really "comic-y" edges sanded off, aesthetically speaking.

Man this movie is BEAUTIFUL. I mean, like, every-single-frame of this 2 and a half minute trailer looked like Kirby pannel.
My man Taika doing Thor justice!
