Street Fighter V |OTVIII| New Delayed Generation - Controversial Inputs

I may be the only person in the world whose top 3 characters they want for SFV are Sagat,
Huh, that's decent.

What, EWW!

El Fuerte.

Well, that's exactly what V Skills are. It's just an extra special move that every character has that happens to be called their V-skill. We went through 7 years of SF4 where nobody got a real legit new special move(shit like Tiger Scar don't count). I'm begging for new V-Skills because I'm actually just begging for a new special move. For example just make Ryu's new V-Skill his donkey kick. It'll be a carbon copy of Ibuki and Karin's V-Skill. Tap MK/MP to get the faster version that's -5 on block or charge it for a slower version that's safe on block and can also crush counter into a wall bounce to pay some homage to his SF3 version.

Agreed.

For Chun I would love her jumps that were difficult to block and that weird air SBK they showed in the first trailer for SF V.

Agreed, Ryu got fucking hammered. Even I thought it wasn't that bad at first, but the more I played the more I realized just how bad it was. If the point was to keep everybody strong and just take away BS then they should have just nerfed his j. LK and called it a day. But having his damage/stun reduced, his normals worsened, and removing his ability to pressure from his throw and V reversal was devastating for him.

I have no idea what they were thinking when they did all this. I want throw loops gone, but if any character needs a throw loop than it's Ryu. What they did give back was no where near enough to compensate since all they actually did was just revert a couple of nerfs. I'm really hoping S3 brings about some good changes to the game and does a better job of taking care of weaker characters.

S1 wasn't that bad because most characters didn't had an excess of tools like the DLC ones. It was small, but everyone was almost in the same level so it didn't stood out as much.

S2, however, is worse because we have characters with many, many tools and they destroyed the balancing on some characters.

Jesus fucking Christ, with all of these fucking spamming Kens in Ranked, you'd think Momochi just won Evo twice.

What the hell do you do against HK Tatsu? Are you just forced to eat the next move on block?

My big problem with Capcom using "classic" themes for these dope stages is they don't have the awesome difference in round 1 and round 2/3 that other stages have. None of the classic stages have that awesome switch up between rounds like the original SFV stages.

London Station and Hillside Plaza are on a totally different level than Air Force Base, High Roller Casino and the Taverna. Oddly enough, the Akuma temple does have the cool multi-round score.

I guess they wanted to keep it "classic". Though does the music go faster when health goes low? Never paid attention to it.
Akumas temple stage doesn't seem to have an alternate version, at least not according to the BGM list in the game.

Cr.mp into CA just takes a little practice, I can pull that off in matches now. It was his Knee Hammer trial that gave me fits.

Finally finished all trials. The most difficult ones are those with wonky manual timings and Giefs final one.

Before giving him a new V-Skill they should think about how to fix his parry first. In general a few V-Skills need some fixing. Even his V-Trigger is nothing to write home about. The way how fast it depletes is ridiculous.

While we are talking about new V-Skills. I'd like to see Dictator getting a command throw that drains V-Gauge. Drain a V-Trigger Necalli reset his V-Gauge back to 0. Wouldn't that be fun?

Well it was said that the cast was balanced against Ryu. So taking him back to bottom tier hell fits their aim. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

They shot themselves in the foot with the 50/50 elements in the gameplay. In the beginning they said it's all about just playing the game. Right now there are too many times you don't even get to play.

It's -4. Don't let him get away with that shit. If he's in V-Trigger he's -2,

I played a bunch of USFIV at a party today and boy, anyone who complains about SFV's damage doesn't remember IV very well. Sakura can get 30% and a reset off of a crouching light kick (which also leads into EITHER of her Ultras if they're stocked) and Abel has a nearly 50% combo off of a jump-in. Ultras as a comeback mechanic are so much less fun than V-Triggers too; at least with V-Triggers you have to actually confirm in order to get big damage rather than just sitting on an immensely powerful invincible reversal for half the match.

Idk, after going back to it for a few extended play sessions I still feel like SFIV is my least-favourite mainline SF game. Incredible roster aside, it feels so stiff and lifeless compared to most other titles in the franchise.

I can do 100% to 0 on any character in the cast within 5 seconds with VT and maybe 2 bars

actually this whole post just trynna trigger me imma chill

He's the ultimate in making the game a huge guessing game. A shitty El Fuerte can get perfects on a good player.

no they're not. a shitty elf aint gonna hit an RSF loop on me into a reset. stop this

He was SFV guessing game helplessness no matter where he was on the screen before SFV came out

Mainly he was just incredibly annoying to play against

Shitty stereotype character whose sole character trait is being a shitty stereotype.

Gotacha. Thanks! I rarely faced against El Fuerte in general so I wouldn't know how annoying he was, and I didn't really spend much time with SFIV as I would like to.

That could totally happen if they were shitty players but combo lab monsters. And they got lucky with a focus attack or something.

Will that happen all 4 rounds though, eh...but the above is definitely doable.

It's fun to watch people get blown up by el fuerte, just like watching people get fucked at slots.

Somewhat less fun to play against

if they're lab monsters practicing to get execution down like that then they're probably not that shitty of a player tbh

elf was the prototype for what SFV was about to be

I mean I enjoyed fighting Elf

but I played Ken and you know how Ken's love to flowchart and randumb. Ken fought Elf okay too.

I ain't tryin' to start anything, friend. I respect that you enjoy SFIV and that you play at a level beyond what I'm capable of reaching at the moment, which undoubtedly gives your opinion more weight than mine.

It's just that to me personally, SFIV isn't as kinetic or fun to play and I think it shares a lot of the same problems SFV suffers from, including some of the cast having positively insane damage output that makes them an absolute chore to fight against.

I'm just naturally predisposed to enjoy SFV more as someone with lackluster execution as well; the only characters I could really play in SFIV were T. Hawk and Poison since they had relatively simple gameplay compared to most of the cast.
