This needs to become a new "real life meme" like Che Guevara's iconic photo, Joe Strummer's "Ignore Alien Orders", the UK's "Keep Calm and Carry On", or France's "Je Suis Paris".
Maybe responsible cops should talk with their irresponsible coworkers.yeah thats.. genius.

If those officers actually did the right thing we probably wouldn't have any problems. Or maybe the ones that do the right thing are few and far in between.Yes, let's make it a hip thing to insult the million+ US officers that actually do the right thing. That'll show 'em.

On topic, it's a good jab at an area that has clearly had more than their fair share of policing issues, too bad the public works folks will be the poor bastards that will have to work to take them down, lucky them.
No, but when someone complains about the shitty work that's done I don't get all offended because I know they're not talking about meDo you talk with each and every one of your shitty co-workers? Or do you just try to do as good as you can in the confines of a shitty situation? Let's be fair, a 'good cop' isn't being remarkably evil by doing the latter - just the same as 95% of people.
Not remarkably evil, judging boringly evil. Cops are in a unique position because they can legally kill people or hold them against their will. A culture that prides itself on integrity and holding fellow officers responsible for their actions would go a long way. Right now, there is an atmosphere of snitches get stitches.Do you talk with each and every one of your shitty co-workers? >1I wonder how many signs are up to make this a problem for public works folks. Got a number?

I see the thin blue line get reinforced every time a cops sensibilities is questioned, so yeah.Has that been your general experience with US law enforcement, that the good are few and far between? It certainly hasn't been mine.
That do the right thing like reporting all the horrible shit the baaaad cops do? Every brick in the blue wall is just as guilty as the other.
When we see cops come out against fellow officers publicly, then we'll stop tarring them with the same brush.Maybe the ones that don't do the right thing are given far more publicity than those that do the right thing (for fairly obvious reasons). We can be critical without tarring everyone with the same brush - it's called nuance.
Good thing cops aren't a protected class and should never be. You talk about nuance but then you compare ethnic groups to police organizations. If you applied this logic to anything else it would be bordering on hate speech, at least in my country.
Responsible cops shouldn't lack perspectiveyeah thats.. genius.

A large part of police training in the United States is based on the premise the next interaction you have could be the one where you don't go home so stay hyperaware.

You see it via media reports, or your experiences with them personally?I see the thin blue line get reinforced every time a cops sensibilities is questioned, so yeah.
This needs to move on to t-shirts too.
Or, that could be the worst idea ever, I haven't decided yet.

Use your brain to figure out why it isn't hate speech. If you applied this logic to anything else it would be bordering on hate speech, at least in my country.
Are you trying to equate authorities with absolute power over life and death with the minorities they victimize in order to defend their peers that enable it to happen?
Cops are not a class of people. So, problem avoided.I'm saying that the blanket vilification of all members of any class based on (nigh-on) any characteristic or commonality is unjustifiable.
