And they still won't win a trophy next season.

Klinsmann is beyond shit, he tried to get a job at Southampton and we were like nah man

Our american owners(Hicks and Gillett -pukes-) back in like 08-09ish wanted to replace Rafa Benitez with Klinsmann. Probably would've been better than Roy Hodgson though...

He was at that time pretty well regarded after taking Germany to a 3rd place in the 2006 World Cup, instead ended up at Bayern(sorry about that Bayern fans).

2 more forwards for AC Milan? Find that somewhat unbeliviable, but we never know I guess... 3 months ago I'd say RM would never even think about paying 180M for Mbappe :p

Renato sanches said he wants to move

Hahaha

Never seen a more shitty and self absorbed player at bayern. Bye bitch

Why the fuck do we still pay Reschke money? He had one flop after another. Time to get rid of him too

many words.

I'll have to take your worked for it as I don't know nearly enough about finance and balance sheets to say otherwise. As I said, it's largely all moot anyway as I don't imagine they'll be going anywhere. Just our luck that as the most successful side in the country we get bought out by a guy who then uses our own financial muscle to pay for his purchase while others get handouts from oil barons lol.

What I do have to give City credit for is what they've seemingly done for the area and their investment in their woman's team. I fucking hate that United are the only PL side without a womans team.

My first kid is due in 4 weeks and she'll be a United fan like her dad and her uncle and her Grandad. Who the fuck can she aspire to play for if that's what she wants to dream of as a kid. Since we live in the midlands she can have Villa or Birmingham. Great.

Doesn't Rummenigge want over 40m € for him?
That's the joke here xD

He probably will but in a
shit
performance when I see them play Barca tomorrow.

Apart from the second half against Madrid he's been good in the other games tbh. Sometimes being played a bit too far back which keeps him out of the important areas.

Hopefully you'll see goals at least!

According to the rumours Milan's going to pay it.
To think that we actually make some money from that flop is quite something

Seriously, considering the market conditions this is a very reasonable price for Mbappe, whom I consider the most talented U20-Player I have seen (I'm 27 years old).

When I see him, I see Ronaldo and that's probably the biggest compliment anyone can get from me.

Are you talking about Ronaldo or Cristiano Ronaldo? Because the difference between Mbappe and Ronaldo is immense.

If he didn't hit the post 9 times during the season I don't think people would be giving him as much shit. Still won trophies. Worth the money on potential alone if you ask me.

He has a great potential, but he's pretty invisible at times on the field. Hitting the post still counts as a miss.

Anyhow, it's rich for the manager of the club who destroyed the last transfer record to complain about an out-of-control market.

If it was Ronaldo 3 years ago or Messi or Neymar then it makes a modicum of sense. At that price I'm glad United are priced out of it lol.

Destroyed? How much was Bale again?

Of course Ronaldo.
Well, I don't see that much of a difference. I would write sth down but unfortunately my vocabulary isn't that great.

Do you remember Ronnie before he was 20? Man Mbappe is not even near that level. They are not comparable at all in my opinion. Mbappe is one of the best talent out there of course and he will have a great career but Ronnie was really something else. I don't think we'll ever see someone like him...

It's not just that Mourinho spent massively on Pogba and Lukaku, it's also that he's collectively spent more money on players than any other manager in the game. He's not responsible for it (tv deals) but he's helped drive it to those levels.

Congrats too DBT.

Yeah, Ronaldo was better, but I still don't see that much of a difference like he was from another planet. And yes I mean Ronaldo pre-injuries, poor guy.
Watching Mbappe is so unbelievable satisfying for me.

Brazilian Ronaldo was on a totally different level. Mbappe looks great when plying for Monaco but that is because he is given freedom and a system that has full support behind him and creativity to deliver the goods. Towards the end of the season teams got a grasp of him. If you look at Mbappe against Thigo Silva, Thiago utterly nulified the lad, couldn't do anything and he wasn't really doing anything special just a standard man marking job (though he is very good anyway). When players use to try and do a job on Ronaldo he'd just make them look foolish.

Quinton Fortune on Ronaldo in the 96-97 season while he was at Barca.
"He was physical perfection, and he seemed like a mythical figure. I love [Lionel] Messi, I played many times with Cristiano [Ronaldo] and I adore him, Neymar is outstanding, Ronaldinho was exceptional—but if you put all of them together, you might get what Ronaldo was that season."

The man scored 42 in 46 for PSV in the Eredivisie from the age of 17-19. Barca would then pay a world record $19.5m for him.

A huge number of his goals for Barca he dribbles around the keeper. He could do what he wanted and the only thing that stopped him or slowed him down were injuries :(

We will see. I don't usually watch Ligue 1, so the most games I saw him are in CL.
I will watch his career very closely, that's for sure. As I said, I enjoy watching him.

Fat Ronaldo was probably the best under-21 footballer of all time.

This was posted before here, but it really was ridiculous how good he was:

Goals before the age of 23

Ronaldo – 194
Raul – 145
Lionel Messi – 127
Sergio Aguero – 124
Romelu Lukaku 119
Michael Owen – 111
Cristiano Ronaldo – 97
Fernando Torres – 87
Wayne Rooney – 94
Luis Suarez – 77
David Villa – 70
Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 69
Alan Shearer – 65
Thierry Henry – 57

Up until that 98 WC final he was absolutely incredible.

The number of times you'd see him just dribble from the halfway line, past 4 players all the way to goal was just ridiculous.

Here are his highlights from the specify game I mentioned https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZT2ksXzmQI . You can see quite clearly how to prevent him from playing. That said I don't think there are many footy fans who wouldn't want him at their club. But Ronaldo was ridiculously good.

You're right, that was not worthy of my praise. :D
But I mean cut him some slack. He was pretty roughed up, especially in the beginning.

That actually reminded me of Borussia Dortmund 2010-2013 xD

Was Brazilian Ronaldo a greater player than Messi?

CR7 is the greatest player I've even seen in person, and he was still only just hitting his stride for United at Fulham in early 2007 when he hit the winner into the end I was standing.

For me, CR7 and Messi are the lop sided base that Ronaldo stands on at the top of the pyramid.

Congrats! There's always Liverpool Ladies FC

Get out. Her great grandad would love it (as would my nan, a scouser who died a few months ago, 70 years in London and still so hilariously scouse) but since he's already 90 with emphysema I'm not sure he'll make it to like, 110.
