Ofcourse, but doesn't mean I have to like it. I am not saying its awfull or anything it still hapens today anno 2017 and it most certainly happened during the medieval ages but doesn't mean I like seeing it.

Yeah it's not necessarily thay I really want to see it but at the same time I don't want the show to pull it's punches. The 'rawness' of GoT is part of it's appeal.

Yeah, but then he could dual wield like Dayne but with VS swords like a badass. lol

Plus, according to Melly, the savior Prince is supposed to pull a sword from flames and call it "Light Bringer"
Betting on this being The Hound, considering he's now BFFs with Medieval Big Boss.

All of the PR and commercial have made me excited for this. I really should get back into this but I'm only at season 2 but I'm fucking loving it.

I don't understand the rape backlash at all. This is fucking Game of Thrones! It's been super violent and fucked up since day one. People get their cocks cut off, people are fed to dogs, children are burned alive!

The mountain is going to rape those women with his monster undead cock and I hope they show it too. This is Game of Fucking Thrones people...

I have no desire to see it, but I realise that's not an uncommon occurrence in any world of perpetual war. I don't mind it being part of the show; I just don't want to see it.

I loved Euron's badass way of boarding Yara's and Theon's ship, that was pretty amazing.

What annoys me about that battle is that Yara took a lot of Iron Islanders with her when she escaped, because in the shot when Euron sees them sailing away there is dozens of boats (and maybe a comment that they stole all the ships?), so it stands to reason that Yara would have a lot of her most trusted and most experienced sailors/warriors with her. So the idea that Euron could spring a trap on Yara's fleet completely successfully just doesn't jive with me. It felt like cheap writing to wipe out a massive advantage that Dany's side had.

Oh wow...

I keep wondering how they will take out the Mountain, would be hilarious if they just had a dragon bite his head off lol but we need that Hound/Mountain fight. I don't think anyone stands a chance in a one on one fight though and I don't want to see another character I like killed by that monster.

I would like to see The Hound and Brienne team up to take him out.

I did a quick rewatch of Ned Vs. Dayne and I noticed that Ned took possession of the Sword of the Morning. What the fuck did Ned do with it all this time? Did he burry it with Dayne?

Sigh... watch the damn scene yourself. The old TER points out the Sword of the Morning to Bran after Bran identifies Arthur Dayne. Careful accusing someone of book talk.

He refers to Dayne as the Sword of the Morning.

I didn't get that at all. The sword is kinda prominent and focused on.

The exact conversation is:

Bran: (As Dayne & the other Targeryan soldier walk past) "Ser Arthur Dayne"

Three-Eyed Raven: "The Sword of the Morning"

Bran: "Father said he was the best swordsman he ever saw."

I don't know how from that brief exchange you would surmise that they were talking about a sword. I also don't see how the sword is prominent or focused on. Ned grabs a blade off the floor to finish Dayne after Meera's father injures him, but the blade itself is not made out to be special. Unless you can link a video with a time-stamp of when this took place?

This being a world where people name their swords too... you could be right, but I lean more towards that being the sword's name. Anyway this lead me to think it was probably another VS sword. It'd be cool if it was being kept somewhere safe for Jon or someone to find.

Bran points out "It's Ser Arthur Dayne", and the Three-Eyed Raven says, "The Sword of the Morning" - and he was looking at the man, not the sword.

Chekov's sword gets rested at the foot of Liana's bed, centre frame. It's blatantly making a comeback.

Weather they were talking about the sword (they weren't) or about the man (they were), it is not book talk to refer to Sword of the Morning, so I have no idea why that is brought up.

Original post:

As show watchers we have no idea what the sword of morning is. That's book talk.

Jon isnt going to take a knee, its obvious. That is why they made Dany say "and take the knee" so forcefully.

Jon will rock up, not take the knee, and tell Dany he isnt going to join her war. Bank on that.

also, melisandre looked very different this episode. Like she was CGI.

Who's taking what knee?

Can they fucking not kill Yara? She's like the only character I care for at this point now that Brienne has 1 second of screentime per episode while fucking Sam gets 30.

On the other hand I'm glad they killed off some of these annoying Ellaria kids.

she will probably get some torture. potentially there will be a rescue by theon but i doubt it.

as for brienne and sam.. well sam is almost as important as bran at the moment. he will get the knowledge bombs to serve the good guys. also he is curing jorah who will be a force against the army of the dead with his valerian steel sword.

regarding the sand snakes... yeah good riddance. tyene is the best anyways.

How come he won't do it? He seems bent hell on getting help to fight the army of the dead and he seems to be above all of the iron throne mess.

He's a king who wants to ally, if he bends the knee he tacitly admits to Dany being his overlord (or lady), that her title is more important and powerful than his, that once the war is won she will rule the seven kingdoms... including the North.

Plus he has the example before him of the King Who Knelt... never forgotten by the North. Incidentally said King and invading conqueror Aegon are both his ancestors.

She was younger it seems. Maybe a sign that she is dying? Like Benjamin Button just with magic :D

ahh good point, he doesn't want to get involved in Danereys war anyway

Ghost needs to be with Jon when going to Dragonstone, just has to happen.

Also, I don't know why people are still complaining about Theon, what did anyone expect him to do at that moment?

If you get on the internet and talk about how upset you are about it, then the rest of the internet knows what an amazing person you are in your personal life!

Theon is the prince that was promised. So he needs to survive.

it would make an amazing character arc.

a prisoner of war as a boy who was treated as a family be his captors

then a traitor who stabbed the back of his brother

then a broken man

then a figure that is sometimes brave and sometimes cowardly

and finally a shining hero that brings the dawn.

Even if Theon didn't suffer from PTSD he made the right choice. If he charged at Euron, he would've slit Yara's throat and then they'd kill Theon. Yeah it looked cowardly, but at least Theon wasn't the one hiding behind a girl :p.

And well, considering these guys were cutting out tongues of survivors and torturing them, and Theon having a history with cutting off limbs and body parts.... It's the only move that makes sense.

Seriously, did people expect that seeing all that torture around him would "break" him and make him charge at Euron with rage or something? This is GoT, not a shonen anime :p.

The TV show hasn't shown any rape scenes. right? I don't recall ever seeing any.

I don't know why everyone is hung up on the "it should be invented by now" and are missing how just like anything with the show lately it's just conveniently discovered just as needed.

It's even the same plot device they used last season. "Oh Cersei you are in danger? Here's a solution I just happen to come by". And this time we even got a scene with them targeting the skulls of a dead dragon, to make the dumb and obvious writing even more obvious.

For a show that cared so much about details and actually developing stuff for more than just the next few episodes this is very disappointing. Had they about two seasons ago had a scene with the science guy asking permission to develop new weapons, and then last season had a scene with him showing some of them (without the dumbing let's shoot the dragon in the head) the payoff for them actually using the weapon now would be so much better.

Edit :

Jesus, next season will be even more rushed then?
Yes that plot device that we knew about since season 3. Do people just like to complain for the sake of complaining about this shit?

Kal Drogo shagging an unwilling Danaerys? Not a violent rape, but she clearly wasn't consensual at the beginning of their marriage.

Craster's Keep post-mutiny.

Ramsay/Sansa

Jaime/Cersei in the sept

Dany/Drogo first time

lol oh wow I forgot the dany rape scene, been what 7 years. Sansas rape scene you just see Theons face so its off scene. And I refuse to believe Cersei got raped by anyone, you don't rape Cersei and not end up dead. Cersei is the most powerful woman character in the TV show.

I am really disappointed at how this series has dropped in quality. The amount of holes is absolutely crazy and the amount of stupid things happening is getting too much...

How Euron was able to ambush those ships without ANYONE ever noticing him (and we are not talking about random folk but sea-born soldiers) is just something I might accept from another series, not GOT. Then during the battle it seems like he has equipped the "strictly 1 vs 1 perk"...

Danny decides to speak to Varys now, after arriving at Dragonstone, the entire journey aboard the ships I guess they were playing cards or something far more important than making that speech...

Dont know what the writers are thinking lately, but this is getting worse and worse... sure I can understand some lenience, but the eye-rolling material is getting too much.

I also thought she looked different - has the actress had surgery? That's what I thought

This isn't how words work.

Jaime raped Cersei. Maybe she forgave him because she loves him and she probably eventually gave in to it in the moment, but he forced penetration while she was audibly telling him "no".

That is rape. Period. Your need for it to be this extremely violent event that the woman MUST fight off or else get revenge for later isn't helpful or at all realistic and is one of the many reasons rapists aren't taken very seriously.

This show better end with her dead. My most hated character.

I can definitely see why people dislike her. I just feel like there's a lot we have yet to see from her since this is pretty much the first time in the whole show where she's had any freedom and she's still getting her bearings.

Like up until now her plotlines have always been about her relationship to another character like Joffrey or Ramsey, but now that Jon's leaving it seems like it's just going to be about her for once.
