NFLN is superior in every way to ESPN's coverage of anything football(draft, training camp, gameday)

This is true. While both of them suck up majorly to the NFL and tow the line no matter what the actual in depth feature stuff is leagues better on the network.

I'm so fucking done with my thesis.

I'll pay a 1000 bucks to anybody who wants to finish it for me (if it gets a passing grade). 500 bucks extra for a grade above a 8,5/10.

isn't it great!

7. One guy that made his presence known, not only in those drills, but in 1-on-1s as well was Braxton Miller. I mentioned it yesterday and it bears repeating: Miller's trajectory is swinging way up. His route running and ability to get separation are without peer in this camp. He will completely lose guys trying to cover him and get yards of separation. He's not thinking about it and it's not slower than it needs to be. The timing is nearly perfect and will only get better.

Baexton becoming the new Welkah

20. The quarterbacks continue to throw the ball well. Marc and I had a ringside seat during our radio show, watching Tom Savage and Deshaun Watson throw, on air of course, to receivers during a drill. Marc has seen every single training camp practice and then some and he was still blown away by the accuracy, ball placement, etc...Before you say, yeah, John but it was against air, just know that it didn't look quite like that last year. These quarterbacks throw the ball so effortlessly and with such good ball placement; it's truly fun to watch.

Antonio Pierce is working with Giants linebackers as an coaching intern which is pretty great. Good guy, great LB for us until the later years when he slowed down. That double tackle in GB during the 2007 will always be his signature moment.

Some interesting camp news in that BJ Goodson is beginning camp as the starter in the middle linebacker position. Darian Thompson looks to have the fast track over Adams at the starting free safety next to Landon Collins. I have high hopes for Thompson. If he's even a good percentage of what he was in college, our secondary will be even better than it was last year.

Wouldn't be shocked if he turns into a player in their system.
Will be interesting to see what they do with him. We still have an open spot at SAM but they played a ton of nickel last year. We'll see if that was by design or out of necessity I guess.

#Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger tells @EdBouchette that retirement remains an option after this season. Hmm. https://t.co/WR44s8hz3o

I like Ben but he is such a damn drama queen

Oh look another team with an oft injured QB who could have used Kap :(

So Kendricks asked to be released or cut in January and the eagles said no.

Why Howie? :(

Because he is young, talented, and plays a position which the Eagles have been weak at for decades now. He had a bad year under a new scheme and coaching staff. Why trade him or cut him for nothing in Jan when you don't know who you will be able to sign, draft, or who might get hurt?

Why get rid of him for nothing? He isn't a locker room cancer. Hopefully, he takes advantage, plays better, and if a team offers something good move him but if not, he could be useful if he plays up to his potential.

Looks like Raiders LT Donald Penn is a holdout. Not ideal news since we just released our best RT, Austin Howard.

Work brought Jimmy Johns for lunch. Shit is nasty. Worst sub sandwich place by far.

WYTS 49ers http://deadspin.com/why-your-team-sucks-2017-san-francisco-49ers-1797328541

I taunted my buddy a lot last year about his team’s (the Bears) QB situation (Hoyer and Barkley). Ours wasn’t better, but still, not the worst.

They are now our first and second string QBs. Fuck.

This team was so lacking in talent on both sides of the ball last year, yet they let their starting QB walk because Shanny Jr said it was too tough to build a gameplan for a mobile QB (definitely the real reason, for sure). No, replacing him with Chicago’s backup QBs and drafting Iowa’s mediocre starter was absolutely the right call there. They won’t have to worry about any of them taking a knee this year.

I went to my first NFL game in person last season. I paid $100 to watch the 49ers blow a 14-point lead to BRYCE PETTY, BILAL POWELL AND THE JETS. Phil Dawson also shanked not one, but TWO 30 yard field goals. It wasn’t even windy.

This franchise is so fucked, fans are cheering Brian Hoyer as “the perfect stop gap quarterback.” A stop gap, by the way, they’re hoping will work until the front office makes the generationally stupid decision to throw more fucking money at Kirk Cousins than Dan Snyder. That’s how sad this fanbase is. The most “liberal” area in America will cast aside an experienced quarterback, who’s was a play away from winning the Super Bowl, because he was disrespectful enough to ask police to stop shooting unarmed black kids. Meanwhile, we’ll pin our hopes on a guy who, in his most utilized season, threw more interceptions than touchdowns and the unending hope of winning the honor of overpaying for the human embodiment of mediocrity.

We went from “We are one electrical blackout away from a Super Bowl championship” to “We are two Navorro Bowman’s knees away from going to the Super Bowl” to “We were like three wins away from a wild card spot” to the guy who blew a 25-point lead in the Super Bowl being the savior of our franchise.

The entire 2012 draft class ALL busted out, as in, nowhere in the league bust.

Nice write-up. The dline is going to need to be absolutely dominate to mask the atrocious CB situation. I'm not sure if that will happen, but I'm eager to find out.

I think ultimately next season, with Jones, Douglas and Mills hopefully coming into their own, will be when the defense can become truly elite.

I have zero hopes for a dominant D. I just want a D that isn't a push over and want the offense to be truly great.
