Just played the first 3 missions in Killer is Dead.

I legitimately feel like I am coming down from an acid trip.

Here's my really bad POSITIVE Steam Review I wrote just before bed.
-------
A short but sweet prolouge to episode one and the potential future of the series.
In this episode the artist has changed. However I feel they did a great job in their own style. Outside of that the production quality in the music and dialog is as high as ever for a Dischan Media project. The story itself is despite it's short length has a lot of great moments and even offers some interesting questions to ponder within the story itself and maybe even your own life.
I'd recommend this so long as you buy it with Episode 1 as well (if you don't already have it). Since both games work well off each other in their own ways.

So yeah if you've played Episode 1 and want more from the universe that presented. Definitely play this. I'll be contacting Dischan about giving back a partial pledge on kickstarter for this and the rest if/when episode 2 comes out.

My Steam client browser has to have it's cache cleared every time I restart Steam or I just get

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

It started when you had to clear cache to fix that lag issue.

Although Gundam Versus on Steam would be nice I'll be happy that we're getting the licensed music at the very least.
(Which is to say, my hype is now very high)

Finally platinum-ed Lollipop Chainsaw on ps3. Still the 2nd best Suda51 game.

I wish the game is on steam so that I have an excuse to replay it again.

Well that wraps it up. I have all the normal and good endings, the true ending, half of the bad endings and some of the bonus epilogues. Haven't played the Xtend episode and I kind of don't plan to, since I think I've got enough out of the game. Steam says 27 hours.

I liked it. The story is intriguing, there are a good number of cool twists and everything comes together nicely.

But I have mixed feelings towards some of it. Mostly about the pacing. Some parts just go on for longer than they need and there are lots and lots of flashbacks, especially towards the end. That kind of makes it a slog at times.
It doesn't help that I think the big number of endings work against it. Say you get the normal end of a route. The game gives you hints on how you could get another one. This is nice, but often this requires to go back really far and make 'better' choices. Those usually don't change things all that drastically however. Usually you get some extra scenes and some old scenes get a few different and new lines.
The problem is that there's no way I'm going to reread all of the stuff I've already read a couple of hours/days ago, so this ends up with me making plenty use of the Skip functionality only stopping for the new stuff, which obviously makes things a little disjointed :/

Might be a personal preference, but I guess I prefer either mostly single route stories with a couple of offshoot bad ends or the game splitting off into vastly different routes alltogether.

So, alltogether I think it's good but not mindblowingly good and a little uneven.

I hope you guys don't mind me asking something a bit OT, but still little OT... A question to you finnish steamgaffers, what would be the best place in Finland to sell all of my collectors editions? I want to sell everything in one go and they aren't worth that much since I've activated the Steam games and such but need to get rid of all my "junk". Also for safety reasons, I should probably have to cut out all those steam codes right? I mean people can "move" the game to their account with just a photo, or do they need a receipt also?

As far as I know, you can't "move" games between accounts, but they could gain access to yours with a photo of some codes you activated and some other mumbo jumbo so yeah, I'd cut out all the codes.

Mm have to do it on all those physical steam games I've bought in regular dvd cases also, since those I'll just throw away.

It took me 66 hours to complete the game, and that was with skipping all the repeated text, so yeah...
(If you think Root Double has pacing issues, don't even start Dies Irae... I mean it, good VN and all, but the pacing is truly snail-like).

What can I say, it appears that I'm a fast reader~
I finished all VNs I've read quite a bit under the HowLongToBeat time.

Although I admit that I got a bit sloppy during the flashback avalanche in Route D.

Yeah, I'm still half way through Dies Irae (after bout 50 hours), and have simply had to take a break from it, it's just too damn long

Actually, the more I think about the more I think that the pacing in itself is mostly fine, it's really just the multiple endings that throw it off for me.
For example, I got the normal ending(s) of Route D the first time around. Then the only thing that changes in order to get the good ending is having to sit through 4 long flashbacks back-to-back without anything new inbetween to break it up, since that doesn't change from the previous run. That was a slog.
And then in order to get the true end I found out there was one decision right at the beginning I got 'wrong' so I had to skip through the entire route again with like 20 new lines before it branched off right at the end.
As I said, probably a personal preference, but that really made it feel like... work towards the end.

Having a flowchart like 999/VLR for games with multiple routes/endings should be a requirement!

Looking at that Catwoman upcoming game got me thinking. Is the metacritic score on store pages autofilled in case nothing is inserted?

The game of forever is out next month:

Slighty more sensible suggestions:

There's also two games about going to the toilet, countless Trump stupidity and Darkwood finally leaves EA.

Surge demo is pretty good, if it was 50% I would probably snatch it up. Alas, they are being stingy so I shall be aswell.

Come on, fam, you are just stingy and cheap.
Which isn't a bad thing to admit; we're all stingy and cheap here.

huuto.net or tori.fi? Those are really the only ones I can think of.
Last time I dealt with any physical media and such was on a local level, and I don't think even that store exists anymore.

Just reached the end of the Swords and Sorcery demo, so this is my last post about it until it goes on sale. Since my posts about the game are hugely popular, I'm sure it will now go on to sell a million copies :p

Part I | Part II | Part III

There are a few quests you can take in the demo: you can rise to the rank of Adventurer in the arena, get the pirate's map back from the corpse of the captain buried in the catacombs and rescue the two kids that have been kidnapped. Well, you can't really rescue the little girl, because you'll have to face a strong guy and the demo won't let you level up your characters beyond level 2.

There is a Phantasy Star I feel to this game which I really like

I'm eager to buy this game. It might be a little weird at times, but it works really well. I thought I'd wait for a sale, but the game is made by a single dev, maybe I could show some support. He is working on a sequel, hope it turns out fine.

Generic art? Generic art. Is it good? Well, I like it a lot.

This might not have the looks, but it's waaaay better than some indie dungeon crawlers with bigger teams and budgets. It's definitely worth a look.

Ah yes been thinking about using tori.fi and findit.fi, though I have to find someone close and don't know how gamers there are around here.XD Since the package would be way too big to send.

So I won't that Steam Mystery Gift last night, but I have no way of seeing what it is haha
It's an expansion to something, but I can't activate it because I don't have the original game.

It's usually dlc for some f2p game that has been given away for free. No idea why people mystery gift shit like that unless they are trying to ensure they are eligible for megagiver giveaways. Just post a link to the giveaway or maybe label it properly.

If you own the original, you get this free.
Yup, it seems to address the main issue with the original game where the grind wore me down.
