The Re:Legend kickstarter is going quite well, despite what the thread I made about it might imply (pretty slow/half dead thread from the get go).
They're close to the first console port stretch (only 20k away from Switch port) and the whole thing has been gaining money pretty constantly.

it gets kind of brutal, but i think i got it in me if i keep trying

game really nails that super hexagon style of incremental progress, of like your brain slowly adapting to it

i knew i had it in me :>

i have to put a good number of hours into hollow knight and tacoma, and i want to give prey a shot once it's cheap and safe to buy (you know, in case it's shit like dishonored and doesn't work), but fidel is very likely gonna be my goty.
ahem cos also i'm not gonna spend $500 to buy a freaking ps4 to play persona and nier 2 was not that great

it just provides that same sense of developing a knowledge and sense of intuition that i really love about puzzle games, and i really dig that it's not an abstracted thing but instead something that makes a lot of sense when contextualized and it's really fun to look at and play. it's really fast and it changes a bit so that you can't memorize it but not enough so that it's completely different every time, which makes it a lot easier to digest than a roguelike or whatever, and i can appreciate that a lot better since i've never had the mindset to dedicate the countless hours needed to complete any of those games. the story is kinda throwaway i guess but i appreciate it's there, it's a dumb little thing to think about i guess.

not sure if i'm gonna do all the secrets, those look really tough, but i'm curious what they're like

kind of wish this game had gotten more traction but alas

i would've made an ot but i sort of know the people who made it so that doesn't sound right to me

Yeah, good question that. One day, I would guess, but I'd wager that it'd be years away.

SCS still seem to be doing very well with DLC for ETS2, and I'm not sure we'll see a new game (and new/upgraded engine?) while ATS is still in its relative infancy, and has a large scope for expansions.

'Selling' a 'vanilla' ETS3 to the community might be tricky, too, unless it hits the market with similar content to what ETS2 now has - which would be quite an undertaking.

The ETS development roadmap would be fascinating reading.

So I've been searching for an answer to this one everywhere - anyone know what time in GMT/BST (UK time) games generally unlock?

Sonic Mania is out August 15 so when will it unlock in the UK? Midnight? Your help would be appreciated!

Well most games are at 10 am or 12 am so it doesnt list a time put steam is on PST or PSTD (For daylight savings or whatever we're on now)

10:00 AM, in Pacific Time is
6:00 PM, in London, UK so just 8 hours ahead

Unless google lied to me

In my experience unlock times for the UK have varied quite a bit over the years. I've had games unlock at midnight, 7-8am or anywhere from 7-11pm.

Beat Dishonored 2. Enjoyed it far more than the first. Arkane's surprised me twice this year. However I will say they need to work on their endings. Their last two games kinda just throw a short ending at you and call it a day.

I mean I kinda get it since they have a lot of little things that can affect which little clip you get. But it'd be nice to get a little more meat is all.

i feel that's like a problem with most western videogames

i really wish more games would take the last of us route of giving you a tiny bit of a playable epilogue so you can say proper good bye to those characters and that world

it's what i've grown to appreciate about the blood and wine dlc in witcha 3. while i think the story and gameplay in that dlc is kind of weak compared to the rest, and it's too focused on side missions and such, it's actually a pretty leisurely dlc, so to me it ended up acting as a bit of a reward that you and geralt get for all the adventures you've shared together

i really wish more games had something gave you a final moment of meditation and unwinding instead of just ending the minute the escalating difficulty encounters come to a halt

LawBreakers launches tomorrow so we could play guess game. How many copies they will sell by Friday (those will be Saturday CEST SteamSpy numbers)? My guess is between 10K and 15K.

This really goes for all media. Many books and movies do the same thing.

One of the best parts of Tolkien's books are the long ass epilogues that set up the end in a way that lets you imagine what the rest of their lives will be.

Trails in the Sky has an entire game for the epilogue!
Although that simultaneously expands the lore and world and has set-ups and foreshadowing for future games, lol.

i feel for videogames it's usually a really crazy thing of like there being like an average of maybe 15 to 40 seconds between killing the final thing you need to kill and the game ending lol

Japanese game developers often do not have a clue how to map keyboard options properly. I remember my Berserk playthrough and how bad that was. Same with one of the Dynasty Warrior games on PC. I get it. These games are not optimal with kb&m but c'mon.

Even though it technically takes place before the endings, the Citadel DLC for ME3 will probably always be my favorite example of that. That was a fitting goodbye for characters you spent three games with.

i heard a lot of great things about that dlc, i kind of regret never playing it

i felt shepard and the gang deserved a better sendoff than ghost baby

I am kinda worried about Hellblade performance. Having 280x... :/
They never updated their SR with recommended. And never talked about the PC version.

They did say months ago that game runs "extremely well" on PC but i also read somewhere that for 4K you need a "beast".

Made it to what seems to be the final area of Trails in the Sky SC, gonna stick it out with the party I have now, that party being
Tita and Kevin
, wasn't too keen on using
Julia or Mueller though since they were last minute additions, plus Estelle, Joshua, and Tita are all level 85 already, Kevin is the only one slightly behind at level 82
.

started playing Van Helsing the Final Cut, and all of a sudden 3 hours had passed so I guess it's pretty good :3

Finished the first chapter (which I semi-remember from the first game, the only one I played), so the idea is that this combines all 3 games in 1 story right?

Using the summoner class (which didnt exist back then) and it does a pretty good job at being a summoner class tbh. Voice acting continues to be gret (especially Katrina) and the writting continues to be good (again, especially Katarina's smart ass), and it looks really good, better than I remember it looking relly (the hi res textures pack probably helps), so im pretty happy with it so far.

Just as a very attractive game with incredible textures I'm sure it'll be intensive at 4k and any community posts, especially as vague as the one mentioned are sure to shine on the PS4 marketing and also just hint at the general performance intensity of 4k in a vague way that no one gets upset. Platform wars are crazy

I just really hope hellblade, and the developer vids have been true to how they want to display psychosis realistically. My best friend committed suicide due to being addicted to stimulants years ago and experiencing such.

It's just the first game I know of to use real research for such subjects and I'd hate for even more people to feel alone and I hope NT realizes how important the subject they chose to pursue is.

Edit: Sorry if this is raw but any game that wants to explore such things should know how it affects people, and their friends and family

Sorry to hear about your friend! Hope you are better by now.

From my point of view, in general, mental health is not given the importance it should, and that is reflected in media. There is a lot of mental issues that are overlooked in many cases, and that people should give more importance and try and find a treatment for them, like anxiety, depression, etc.
I also think this issues are not given much presence in media, mostly because they are really hard and risky to represent, but I'd be happy to see someone take the risk and try to represent some of this matters, but with the proper research and trying to give an accurate vision of what the issue at hand represents. I think this would help break the stigma mental issues have in society, if done in a proper way obviously.

I have Steam family sharing enabled on my PC so my brother can play my games on his account (same PC, different user and different Steam account) and it was working fine - but I reset my PC a few weeks back, enabled family sharing again, and now whenever he plays games on his account it's as if it's my account that's logged in rather than his own. Have I fucked something up or has Steam just changed how it works?

Before when he'd play PUBG on his account it'd be logged in under his own Steam account, but now it always shows as T-Rex. in game. I even tried loading up other games (Fata Morgana etc) and when I did all the achievements that I had on my own account unlocked on his. Any way to fix this or is this just how it is now?

Family Sharing hasn't changed. Are you sure he's not using your account?

Yeah, positive. When he loads Steam up it's 100% signed in as his own account, it's just that whenever he loads a game it's as if it's my own account that's playing. The achievements that I've unlocked unlock on his account etc. It never used to happen until I did the reset so I thought maybe something had changed on Steam's side, but I guess I must have broke it somehow.

Ah, that explains it. I did the reset after that date so no wonder. Thanks!

The achievement thing isn't really a big issue, was just confused why PUBG was treating it as if I were the one playing.

Saves are in AppData\Roaming, but neither that nor the above explain why all games his brother plays are changing the status of account being shared.

Edit: Oh, never mind, I misunderstood the situation.
