LEGO are teasing one of the largest sets ever

First tweet.

The London Bus comes in a box that is over 20,000 cm³ but something BIGGER is coming... 😮 4.86 times bigger, to be exact! 😉

Second tweet.

The instruction manual for the LEGO Carousel contains over 194 pages but something BIGGER is coming… 😮 2.56 times bigger! 😉

It's rumored to cost around $700, has the highest piece count for a LEGO set ever and will be revealed on September 1. What is it? Well...

September 1 is Force Friday and a new UCS Millenium Falcon set to tie in with the new movie wouldn't be that bad, right?

It's got to an absurd level of 'top secret but everyone has a pretty good idea of what to expect'. Wonder how they'll run through the teases; I assume there'll be a piece count one (Using Disney Castle as the basis, possibly? I think that's the largest currently available set, although if they're focussing on recent releases for cross-promotion, perhaps Assembly Square)

I hope that instead of being larger than the old UCS falcon, it's about the same size, but with an interior.

Edit:
There better not be one sticker in this set...

Carousel piece count (2670) * 2.56 = 6835 pieces

London bus piece count (1686) * 4.86 = 8194 pieces

-_- just give us the info already Lego.

(For that price, hope they have some nice 911 type packaging).

Does this mean I've missed the window to sell my unopened UCS Millennium Falcon? Last I check it was worth over $3,000. I've had it for years in storage and I was seriously considering selling it this fall.

That's gonna be a big ass book

You guys shouldn't worry about resellers, they go for cheap items most of the time and I can see lego sell out at first but stock plenty for the holidays
I'm hyped for the falcon 😎

faLcon,

You'd get $2500-$2900 most likely
It's dropping fast but still good resell value

Was like $4-5K earlier this year

They better since there's supposed to be a Han Solo movie next year.

Lego Time Cruisers Theme reboot.

It's the London bus combined with the carosel with a big laser canon on top!

If I wasn't building a house right now and bleeding money everywhere, I'd be all over whatever this is :((

is what I would really wish it was but it's gonna be Star Wars, don't feel there is any doubt about that really.

The problem with the last one is the size, It's amazing but you need a huge amount of room to display it. The old one is 2'x3' and this new one looks like it has 40% more pieces. That's insane.

Really tempting but I think I may just get some more modulars instead since they're likely to have better price per piece value.

I know what I'm, potentially, getting for Christmas!

Word of warning, if you really want this set you probably want to get it the minute it goes up on their site or be there in line early if you have a Lego store nearby. Even with the price tag this is an insanely hyped set and Lego hasn't met demand on sets before. Most recently the Saturn V rocket. The UCS Tumbler sold out and wasn't available through the holidays or even a couple months after the holidays.
