Completed episode 50 today. Damn this anime is so good. GT left a sour test in my mouth (I know it wasn't canon but still) and Battle of Gods was not that good too. I thought Super will not be good but boy I was wrong. This is an awesome anime. Can't wait to watch more.

Did Gohan beat Botamo with pure punches? Wasn't Magetta supposed to be helping him? Im not a fan of special techniques being overpowered by pure strenght (at least in Dragon Ball) it makes them seel useless
He was punching him upward to the point he was off the ground, rendering him useless.
Gohan used his BRAIN! It's his strongest muscle, he trained it by reading DIFFICULT BOOK.

I think what most people can agree on is that Super does comedy right and has a lot of legitimately funny moments which gives it some leg room when it messes up on animation and plot.

this arc has been obscenely good. there hasn't been an episode with shit art, the facial expressions on characters like the witch lady, caulifla and kale make me feel like I'm watching the OG series again, most new characters have pretty good to great design, there are laugh out moments often, and they even did good on the frieza revival. The fun to episode ratio is just really high. And that's just the tournament. Who knows what kinda twists await us with the grand priest, the angels, the hidden participants, and hell, even frieza who can now tank a god of destruction blast.
I don't know if this is Toriyama or some new, young visionary, but they are going all the fuck out.
