Loving the Seven Samurai reference. If they stick with the movie then only three will survive. My guess is Jon, Gendry, and The Hound.

If she was doing what Cersei would have, there would have been no offer, and every single one of those soldiers would have been killed. I'm thinking 2 traitorous lords executed while sparing hundreds of fighting men, is a helluva difference between killing every single one of them.

Cersei wouldn't have killed them. Not if she had lost two armies and needed another one like Dany did.

Cersei didn't want to kill Ned. She didn't want to go to war. Ultimately, she does what's in her interest.

Now, Dany isn't nearly as bad as Cersei. Cersei is vile. But Dany is no angel either. Your hand and most trusted advisor insist "Hey, lock this kid up in the dungeon for a few weeks he'll change his mind I know it" She says "Naw, fuck that. Burn him alive".

She could've taken them to the dungeon, waited a week and then if they still clingged to Cersei beheaded them in one swipe, which I'm sure a lot of people would find more honorable.

But nope, burn them. She has no chill. She doesn't seem that different than any of previous players of Westeros to me. She's not different than Cersei, Olenna, etc.

And in the Game of Thrones, that's fine. But I'm just being tired of her saying how different she is.

Yeah, that makes sense but the opposite can be argued too. Everyone advised Robb Stark to take the Karstark asshole prisoner instead of kill him. I wanted him killed then too so looking back that does make me sound like a hypocrite.
"

Well the major difference there was that was an ally, not an enemy. And the reason for the beheading was because, he killed a prisoner and an enemy. And since they kinda turned on Robb for that and thought he was weak for it kinda makes a strong point about this situation does it not?

My hope is that the Wight they bring to King's Landing breaks free and infects everyone like a zombie apocalypse.

I think the whole armistice thing is doomed to fail before it begins. Neither Dany nor Cersei will ever honor it without conspiring behind the scenes. In fact, I think Dany is going to out-Cersei Cersei. She doesn't trust Tyrion, but she's learning how to manipulate people based on their feelings.

These people are so self-absorbed that they would happily die to the Night King before working together.

Hmm, what is the significance of it then now?

Makes it seem like Sansa isn't as loyal as she might appear and that she could pull the same shit with Jon, which Arya already implied when she told her she was thinking about "it".

THIS FAN SERVICE FAN FICTION MAKING ME HARD AS FUCK HELL YA HBO BOIIIIII
This was a great episode; superb season so far but one thing the show took a hit on was the actual written dialogue. It's not as good as it used to be on this show. It's way more average now.
I mean you can put whatever thoughts in her head you want. The point is, it is a legitimate debate that can be had. That's all that the writers were saying and I think they were correct.
In some case sure but this time, I disagree.
There are so many amazing characters on this show, you need to not limit them to just Jon and Dany.

The two might have had the most screen time in total but the show isn't just about them and there is plenty that goes on, and has gone on without their knowledge, and will continue to do so even if they dude hitch up and rule together.

Jon has the best morals, Dany's at times are questionable.

I don't think Jon would have had them killed by fire, but I do think he would have had them killed.
You really think Jon would've had them killed knowing that they're Sam's brother and father?

I think also you might've misunderstood what I'm saying - basically what I meant to say was I think Jon & Dany's arcs are going to be very hand in hand so that's why when I think of one, I also think of the other. In general though, of course, every character's perspective is important...the Arya & Sansa scenes were intriguing tonight. It's hard for me to pinpoint what they think of each other.

They died quicker through Drogon's intense dragon fire, than the Night's Watch traitors Jon executed. So I don't understand why people have a problem with Drogon being the executioner. The whole thing was over within seconds, while Oly and the Night's Watchmen hung there squirming for a minute.

Cersei will probably die, and it sucks because I really like the character. I agree with those that feel she isn't as bad as others believe. All of the relevant characters in this show have done awful things or at least things they're not proud of. No real innocents here.

Yeah, it does. You've made a fair point.

Dany and Jon could present Cersei with a million Wight corpses and she still wouldn't care.

She's INSANE.

Not sure why they think this plan will work.

Planted by Little Finger. What I could make out is that it implicates... someone in trying to take the throne.

It's the letter that Cersei had Sansa send to Robb after Robert died to try to convince him to bend the knee. Littlefinger made sure Arya saw him with it and planted it so she'd find it and it would serve to sew animosity between the sisters.

No clue why its relevant or even believable.

Eh, I mean stories where the protagonist rises from the ashes with uncompromising morals and ethics and despite the shitty world succeeds with friendship and love and rainbows is a dime a dozen. One of the things l have always liked about GoT and keeps me waiting for the books and watching every season is the nuance of the characters and the more realistic human approach they take to characters not being cookie cutter rigid characterizations. For the most part.

And that's fine. But like I said earlier, being told "I'm different I'm different" like a 2Chainz song is tiring. Be who you are. If she wanted to burn Kingslanding to a crisp, I wouldn't complain. I'd cheer. But if she continues to act like she's fucking the best Westeros has every seen and she's gonna "end the cycle" this way, she's wrong.

Dany totally different than Cersei. Dany has true compassion for others. Cersei set off a bomb and killed her own family along with hundreds of innocent people.

True compassion

Burned a son right next to his father.

Drive a wedge between the Stark sisters. That is, if LF had intended for Arya to see it. The scroll was written by Sansa under duress by Cersei.

It makes it look at though Sansa is calling her father a traitor, and refers to Joffrey as her "beloved".

The army wasn't excuted, the Tarlys were. Do you think Ramsay should have been spared as well? Or do you not believe that Jon would have executed Lord Umber and Karstark if they survived the battle? Jon told Sansa that their punishment would have been death.

Jon and Tyrion's plan seems pretty foolish. Did anyone tell Sansa? Does Bran coordinate with Sansa when he sends out ravens? I don't really like how that was set up but I do like the shot of them walking off into the snow.

I'm willing to bet anyone here that Littlefinger is getting played by Sansa and Arya.

Let's go. Is betting here frowned upon? If not, I will bet you $10 Littlefinger is playing Arya hard and Sansa is none the wiser.

.

I mean i think this is a side effect of not having the books to guide the way, and also HBO really speeding up the pace. Every episode now shit is happening fast. There isnt any filler travel episodes where the clever writing used to shine to flesh out the characters. Every move now is just a piece on the chess board making a play.

Theyre getting saved by the drogon, who in turn will become a white walker dragon to end the season. Heard it here first!

Dany's face at Jon and Drogon's bromance was everything I hoped it would be. Dro is about to switch sides faster than those Lannister soldiers.

Also It's Jon Targaryen from this point on. Lyanna and Rhaegar married in Dorne. Doran had to have know, and maybe even Oberyn. Craziness.

Gendry is 100% dead. They basically brought him back just to wrap up his story. When you think about it that applies to almost everyone going with Jon. None of their stories feel like there's much left to them (except maybe Tormund and the Hound) it's why I think they are all dead.
