I mean...SF5 has about 40 more pre-reg than T7 for ECT currently, so it evens out.

Looks like EVO SF5 replay last week picked up another 104k viewers...plus ratings for ESL Brawlers are listed:

I don't know what people are talking about when they say Street Fighter V is boring to watch. It's one of the most watchable games out there.

Almost as watchable as Super Smash Bros for the Wii U

These are just Disney XD numbers, where I'd imagine Smash would do better.

Overall (ESPN2, Dinsey, and Twitch) SF5 still got the most views for EVO.

Wait so you post with the intention of propping up SFV with Disney XD only to swerve and say "but whattabout ESPN and Twitch?"

What does Evo have to do with ESL brawlers?

I'm not trying to fight you, dude.

I posted the numbers. You claimed Smash was more watchable, presumably because it got higher ratings on Disney (which is understandable, because it's Disney). I reminded you and everyone that these are just Disney numbers, and that SF5 got higher overall numbers.

That's about it.

If you call T7 ready in the state it launched in (I know you're being sarcastic but still), then the only fighter you've ever played in your life must've been launch SFV.

I don't think any fighting game has had online issues as bad as PS4 T7 for as long as it did. Even SFV's were mostly sorted out by the weekend.

Perhaps, but unlike SFV it's fun and the actual gameplay is polished. People are starting to notice as well, it's creeping above SFV in tournament entrants.

For Honor and Tekken 7 manage to stay alive on Steam, that's good news for the PC crowd, especially since those 2 titles don't have cross play.

Perhaps for you ! In my region we had to wait 3 weeks before being able to connect with each other in player matches and around 20-30 min to find a player in matchmaking. Despite the fucked up loading lenght, at least we could play Tekken 7 with each other, not to mention story mode and treasure battle at launch to keep us busy.

Last week a japanese arcade hosted a Super DBZ machine that saw play for 10 hours. The whole thing was streamed and archived here. There's a cardless Freeza player that wrecks everyone's shit for 30 minutes, it's good stuff.

YMMV.

T7 burned me out of the Tekken series with how little it innovated relative to the past 13 years of Tekken (nearly not at all). Also, I'd say "No shit it's polished, they've barely changed shit since T5", but I can't even say that since it's somehow the glitchiest game in the series, immediately disqualifying it from being "polished".

I have maybe 400 hours in SFV and can't wait until my next play.

I put 20 into T7 (over 1000 in TTT2 and TR) and am in no rush at all to boot it up again.

I'm playing tekken 7 as my first tekken and really enjoying it. However its also the buggiest fighting game i've ever played. Random sideswaps due to camera, characters teleporting to full screen distance whenever they hit a corner at an angle.

Game could use some polish for sure

I would say it's overall package was better at launch compared to SFV (I think they are around the same now) but there is no way it's as "polished" as it could be, especially after being in the arcade for years beforehand.

tekken doesnt have replays, combo challenges, or even a damn tutorial. Its package seems pretty close to SF5 launch

It has combo challenges

Pretty funny how all the SFV diehards have to try and shit on other games to attempt make their game seem less shit in comparison.

It's all fighting games here and I wouldve thought with the similarities between the two franchises you wouldnt get dumb ass fighting like this. Guess I was wrong.

The bug where someone jumps in one way then lands either in front or behind regardless if it was a cross up or not seems to happen a lot more than tekken 7s camera bs tbh. At least t7s stuff happens mostly near walls

If you're worried about a camera switch RA you can neutral guard and it will block it either way.

I don't think the people objectively discussing Tekken and comparing it to SFV in particularly are "diehards" (well maybe apart from Lone Dragon - we wouldn't want you any other way), and I certainly don't think it's "shitting" on the game if it's actually true. Both have/had glaring faults so I don't see why one should get a free pass and not the other.

This all started with LD trying to throw shade at T7 because of the positive reception to its sales numbers. At least be up front about what you guys are doing lol.

Im not saying that T7 should get a free pass either. I criticize the shortcomings of the game all the time. Im just saying the agenda is pretty clear considering how the discussion started and progressed.

400 hours and questionably executed innovation though.

This. People forget that there is neutral guard in this game.

do you like, realize who you are quoting?

the 2 to 4 obscurely located combos in the action list dont count as proper combo challenges. Same as SF5 character stories thing or whatever it was called doesnt count as a replacement for arcade.

I thought harder hits beat neutral guard?

Either way, it shouldn't matter. If there's a glitch in the game, the devs should solve the problem, not the players. Crossups don't exist in Tekken, so to have one arbitrarily exist due to a fucked up camera makes absolutely no sense. It's not like this is new, too, as this has existed since at least March a year ago.

I have no idea who you are tbh. The comment wasnt directed only at you anyway.

We can talk about how my main cat man Jubei is about to hit BB when he should have been in fucking Calamity Trigger, but no one here seems to talk about anime
