I wonder if some of these, ahem, "protesters", while marching amongst people with Nazi and Klan insignia, ever stop and think "I don't feel comfortable with this"
More like "finally, I feel comfortable outside of my mom's basement"

This is where it needs to get to, so we can stop all the left-right bullshit:
If you identify yourself as a Nazi, flying the Nazi flag, throwing up the sieg heil salute, etc., you risk forfeiting your American citizenship. You are a part of a group who's ideology is to end the lives of other American citizens. Plain and simple. If you're willing to be part of a hate group, you're willing to roll the dice.
If you're a Nazi, you're not an American. America went to war against Nazis, who were our enemies. Thousands of American soldiers died protecting the US from Nazi Germany.
You're saying that you're an enemy of the United States. You're therefore not an American.
That's not a Republican / Democrat thing. That's an American thing. Stop the political posturing and call a spade a damn spade.
Even if they are low level spades, like a 3 or 4 are still spades. This is where it needs to get to, so we can stop all the left-right bullshit:

Glad those idiots are coming up abit short for strom troopers with their Tiki torches.
Not a Cathedral of light, more like a Cathedral of blight
Yup, it's like saying you're a member of ISIS. See how long you'll last before being thrown in jail.

Damn is that a colored photo during 1940s? That photographer nailed down the tone.
Real Nazis were a crazy destructive militaristic force tied to Germany. These guys are American born racists, dressed up in halloween costumes trying to act alt-cool. They want to be called Nazis because it evokes powerful imagery.
I still pronounce it "Jodwin."
Yes. I'm not following American news so much so when I see "Nazi" in headlines I suddenly think there's some revival, 4th Reich thing happening in Germany.Real Nazis were a crazy destructive militaristic force tied to Germany. Agreed. These white supremacists do not look, act or sound like Nazis. If looks like a nazi, if it acts like a nazi it is a nazi.
This isn't rocket science.

I'm constantly amazed how absurd people will get to defend Nazis.
"Well, TECHNICALLY they aren't actual Nazis"
Actually, I kinda disagree with that notion. I understand the wish of thinking of America like some kind of hero that are always the good, but fact is it's not.
I agree that they don't stand for the most "virtious valious" of America, but they're still part of it. Just like the KKK. America has a system that allows such entities to exist and you have to own up to it to change it. These Nazis aren't some kind of foreign invasion, they most likely were born in America and grow up in it, but they still ended up as nazis. America has a history of racism and segregation ( but also of freedom and hope)
This is not to defend them, but in order to enable a more sophisticated discussion. I know everyone is emotional after everything that has happened the past few days, but is that so hard to understand?
There is no discussion to be had; They are merely a blight.

A lot of posters here feeling smug talking down to the one that suggested the distinction of the two terms Nazi and Neo-Nazi. This distinction is based on decades of Germany dealing with the issue of right-wing facism. Both are accurate terms that describe their specific group and leave no room for confusion. The distinction is made for a reason.
Now don't get me wrong, there is no issue with calling America's white supremacists nazis in everyday chatter, but I certainly hope that American scholars will not adopt that term, but rather the term neo-nazis for the discourse needed about these groups.
I question this a little. Maybe we can label everyone who voted for Trump a racist, or nationalist, or whatever, but a Nazi?
26% of eligible voters in the US are Nazis?
Considering 41% think humans and dinosaurs co-existed...
Yea that sounds about right
And that's fine. We agree to disagree.
But as far as I'm concerned, When you say you're a Nazi, you say you're part of a terrorist group that wants to kill off anyone who is not white or christian. That's millions of Americans that they would have no problems removing, by any means necessary. There's no mincing of words. If you're Jewish, Muslim, or a person of color, you're on the chopping block.

We take a no tolerance rule with folks who associate themselves with Al-Qaeda or ISIS. This is what should be done with Nazis.
