Xbox One Backwards Compatible lOT2l: Who would want to play these games?

Hilbert

Deep into his 30th decade
Xbox Back Compat is slowly but steadily becoming a noteworthy service that imo deserves the correct representation. "Who would want to play these games" comes a across a bit condesending towards the service. Imo back compat should be promoted, not minimized.

It's more a mockery of Sony then a minimization of the BC program.

Tongue in cheek to Sony's overall negative stance on BC.

When we've dabbled with backwards compatibility, I can say it is one of those features that is much requested, but not actually used much.
That, and I was at a Gran Turismo event recently where they had PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 games, and the PS1 and the PS2 games, they looked ancient, like why would anybody play this?

poor Screamride, no one realized it was made BC as well
Wasn't a massive bomb on both the 360 and XB1? I picked up the XB1 version with the Zoo Tycoon bundle and had some fun with it.

Realized that you can record gameclips of MGR but they won't upload to Xbox Live. I was able to save it out to OneDrive though. Strange. I always thought that streaming and gameclip recording were tied together.

I'm glad there's a workaround for getting them past local storage. I still really dislike sharing/streaming limitations like this.

I keep thinking today is Thursday, but its not. Now I will be disappointed two days in a row when there is no announcement tomorrow.

I've had no interest in it, no matter how heavily and often discounted it's been.

rightfully so, the game sucks hard

was just being cheeky
What a coincidence, I was just researching Screamride for my kids. We recently downloaded the demo (roller coasters!) and they love it. Has a bit of that sandboxy, Goat Simulator thing going on ... I think it looks good for what it is but I haven't played it.

Didn't realize it was discounted frequently, I guess that means I should wait for it to go back on sale or GWG.

Screamride just went under the radar since there's already a native Xbox One version. It's like Call of Duty Ghosts - a cool thing there for people who happened to buy the 360 version a while ago, but for most people they will just go buy the Xbox One version if they want it.

Metal Gear Revengeance and Mark of the Ninja is literally all the games left on my list. This is huge for me.

And with Mark of the Ninja being spotted a few weeks ago by EvB, I'm sure that list will be diminished soon!:)

So there is still no Sonic Generations, Burnout Revenge, and Metal Gear HD collection on the backward compatible list.....what else we missin?

I'd like to see these:

El Shaddai
Enchanted Arms
Ninja Gaiden II
Earth Defense Force 2025
Earth Defense Force 2017
Magna Carta 2
Ninety Nine Nights
Nier

And there's many others as well. 360 had a huge library.

Not sure what the hell is going on with this game, doesn't show up at all. Anyone got a workaround?

Our good friend Jasiatha seems to have fixed it. Mostly.

While it doesn't appear in the store as yet in Australia, you can access the Hub via your achievements.

From there you can access it via the store, install it and even when you uninstall it, it appears in your Ready To Install list finally.

Yep, and I believe it was in regards to older Gran Turismo games.

I mean, I'd still play older GT games if they were BC. Each iteration changed up the racing quite a bit and some were more fun than the others.

Heck I'm itching to play Forza Motorsport 4 right about now.

Anywho, I'm betting on a Bandai game hitting BC today. Let's go!

Also another reason made the thread with that OT Title was I think it was either the 20000th or 10000th post on the other thread.

I think today is wolverine: origins and Spider-Man: web of shadows.

Wouldn't mind either but I wouldn't mind

Ninja Gaiden 2 and Max Payne 3 either.

Come on Deadly Premonition, Vanquish and Spec Ops: The Line. Today can be the day. And while I am dreaming I will hold out hope for Lollipop Chainsaw. Are there any examples of games rotten with licensed music coming to backwards compatibility?
