You can get Moonlight Fest from drops.
Mooncell Automata from FP Gacha
Mooncell Automata, Mooney Jewel, and Moon Goddess Bath from the Rateup Gacha.

Isn't it kind of a waste to get the CE from the gacha? Or does the extra drop thing apply to all events?

No, extra drops for event CEs only apply to the event the CE came from.
So in this case rolling for the CEs is a waste because the combat effects are pretty bad. But in future events there will be event-limited gacha CEs where both the combat effect and the event drop effect are good.

Most people will be grinding the 5 AP, so I don't think it really matters among those three at lvl 80.
5AP is basically Saber enemies so stick it on Vlad or Gilgamesh depending on who has the higher attack. Also put them in your all slot if you're looking for FP.

Actually, no.
Any event CE in the gacha can't drop, and any event CE that drops isn't in the gacha. That should remain true for all future events.
And the sole event CE here that drops (Moonlight Fest) is the one that's actually not bad for combat.
I only paid for guaranteed gacha last week. Just asked because I have more 1% rate characters in other game in just 2 months compare to this.

The special dumplings unlock more story quests, which in turn unlock more of the free quests. Those quests all have their own reward for beating them once (summon tickets, gems, materials). You can also trade in dumplings in the shop for various items (CEs, ascension materials, Fou cards, etc).

Someone posted earlier it would be better to run the 30AP once you get it unlocked (grind 5 AP before that) if you just have the initial Automata, and once you have enough to get the first CE in the shop it's better to grind 5 AP at that point forward.

I suppose so, but you really only need 2 of them, and it's insanely easy to rank in the top 500/1000 because of how few people play the game. After you get one UR++ you don't really need any more; I've been using the same Edna MA since her arena came out and have about 14 of those Goddess' Love just taking space in my inventory

After fighting Orion by collecting 200 Rare Dango, is there another free quest to be unlocked after the 40 AP one? Or can I safely trade them?

It depends. In the 5 AP on average you get about 3-4 Dango drops of, say, 1 Dango, so +3 with Fest it becomes +9 or +12, and *2 with Bath becomes +3-+3, so it's better to use Fest.
In the 40 AP (I just completed it, so I'm using it as reference), I got a single 25 Drop. With Fest it would be +3 so it becomes 28 Dango, but with Bath it becomes +25, so it ends up being 50 Dango.
In practice, unless you're farming for Hearts, I think you'll get way more per AP in the 5 AP with at least two Fest, plus some Automaton.
You can trade them for regular Dango since the event started. Although I think it's only worth it once you've unlocked all free missions.

That was how it worked originally in Japan.
We got a more convenient version where you're allowed to trade them as soon as you don't need them anymore (that is, after finishing EP4).
Congrats, great pull!I've only been playing off and on, mostly just getting the login bonus and not really grinding for anything. Used the quartz I had saved up and I got this, not too bad.

No joke, I got a heart drop on the first 30 AP run I did. I'm pretty sure that's the only one I'll receive for the entire event.
This is my plan, just need to buy the event CE first. Waver ain't pulling in the FP, so need to switch things up.

Well I burned 6 tickets on the gacha, and got the 5* CE and the 4* CE and the 3* CE, then 2 3* servants, then the 3*CE again.
Pretty cool, but man I was hoping for a 4* servant I didn't already have, like Emiya or something. Ah well, should be able to clear out the store now at least.

Cirnopedia is down, can someone tell me real quick which Servants give the dango bonus when in your party?
None, it's just the CE.
She'll get new animations and a new interlude once we get the re-run of this event.
Feel like they should've just bundled it into this, if that's possible. I mean I know we're behind and all but the animation updates shouldn't be difficult, surely. It looks a bit bleh that the new servant has default animation.

Yeah, the translation for the event story was great. If this is what we have to look forward to, we have some interesting times ahead.

I tried the Moon Goddess Event for a bit and was kinda lost on the story. I'm assuming it'd make more sense had I gone further on the Story Missions (just arrived in Orleans).
The interactions between the first trio make some more sense after you finish Orleans, but for the most part its just comedy.

Did one 10-roll for the hell of it. I know I shouldn't be too picky, but feels pretty bad to get another Heaven's Feel when I would want literally any other 5* CE. At least I got plenty of extra event CEs out of it.

It's worth it, nothing else to spend your AP on anyway. You might as well get some guaranteed pieces/monuments for future Servants, as well as a couple additional items such as event-exclusive CE.
