I just hope they don't screw 'Scorpio Edition' buyers over by packing in a game with the regular versions at launch.

My Gamestop had 19 when I called last night. Wouldn't be surprised if the unsold allocation got turned into the bundles on their website.
Thank god I snagged an Amazon one just in case.

Cancelled Amazon UK as managed to grab a 'Project Scorpio' edition from Smyths Toys where i can collect from store
It'll be the same as it was with the Xbox One Day 1 Edition. They had a separate Standard Edition packed with Forza 5.

The only difference is that the buttons are using a monochrome color set (like on the Elite Controller). Are there any other differences that I'm missing (aside from the Project Scorpio Text)?
The Day One Edition came with FIFA - at least in Europe.

MS seem to be restocking randomly, had a few mates try and it was out of stock but tried half hour later and there was stock. EB has gone back to a waiting list again.
My local EB said they only got allocated 11 Scorpio units which seems to be the general number although some of the bigger stores seem to have got ~20 units.

I have enough controllers already. I want to swap mine for a decent game or two.
My only complaint about the elite controller has been those buttons. You cannot read them. Going between nintendo, steam and PS controllers I sometimes need to remember what is what. It also does not look as nice. And yeah the text doesn't really add anything. Right now I have it on order because its unique and it has the stand bundled in (which I need).

You guys should be aware that the deals at Xmas with standard edition are undoubtedly going to be a better deal, even if is just with a game.

I think everyone is aware.
I'm not so sure about this. Microsoft seems to be positioning this like the Elite controller -- the high-end (and high-price) version for core gamers. I wouldn't be surprised if all of their big holiday deals are only for the S, as that is their "mass-market" product -- especially since they will likely sell out their first couple of X shipments either way.

Those bastards... I was on the fence right up until the announcement, and they got me. Pre-ordered via Target for that sweet 5% off with a Red card. That'll basically cancel out the sales tax which is nice.
Can't wait for November 7th! Pretty surprised to see that this legitimately sold out thus far. I wonder if they just did a really limited run, or if we'll see these sitting on shelves come launch day.

I was one of the 11 to get my pre-order moved over to the Scorpio Edition so Im happy, not that it would have worried me if I missed out but its a nice little bonus.

Yes, you're right - it doesn't look that hot. I think that especially rotating the text by 90 degrees is a not so great decision. The "Day One" on the original controller looked better. Well at least it will be better made (my Day One controller did feel kinda flimsyly made as did the second controller I got back then - the Titanfall controller was made a lot better).
Also curious that they would arrive at such a solution given the quite amazing designs they came up with for certain games. Well, I'll stick with my Elite anyway.
Since they are the same price, I imagine some kind of carelessness can occur during the madness. To be safe, I will be there first thing possible.

If people want to pre-order it, like I did, then what harm does it affect you?
If you dont believe in pre-orders, then good for you. Other people dont mind the practice.
Is the Xbox One X stand the same as the one that came with the Xbox One S?
