Pulled the trigger earlier with Target's website. I barely play XBO (not a knock on it) but I have a badass 4k set now. Why the hell not.

So hold on a second... Didn't they show that the console extract heat to the sides?

Knowing this, having one side blocked by the stand (upright) would not be a good idea....!?

I thought this too but it actually floats about 10mm above the base of the stand and is held via the side (hard to explain in words)

Assuming it is like the Xbox One S stand, there is room to allow air flow there as it is suspended. I recently switched my S to stand vertically, and I can tell there is air being drawn in from below.

Pre-ordered two.

One for me - The other as a Christmas present for my son. Christmas will be coming early for me though :)

Ordered from Amazon UK the same minute the pre-orders went live, the other from the MS store.

I'd say I love exclusives on both consoles, infact I mainly play exclusives, with a small handful of multiplats bought on xbox as I just prefer 'live' over PSN.

Just grabbed a preorder for Scorpio at my local GameStop. I took advantage of that crazy trade-in deal back in July so that covered most of my cost. Really looking forward to 4k gaming on my big screen this fall!

If it's not for you, that's OK. Just, don't regret your purchase is all. Do right by you. I can certainly see many reasons to hold off being valid just as much as I can see someone having reasons to want one getting one.

I think I probably ordered within 10 seconds of go-live.

I was literally at fever pitch when major Nelson said pre orders were live. Kind of ridiculous when I think about it! Just so much neogaf hype.

Looking back tho, glad I did. Had a feeling these would sell out fast.

Then there's all the valid reasons to get one. Do what you want but don't let people make you feel bad for choosing what you want to do with your own money.

Have you seen the HDR Forza 7 video on a 4K TV? Any doubts I had went straight out the window.

Depends how you view the purchase.

I see the one x as the absolute best way to play all my one games and the back compat 360 titles. With little or no compromise.

I dont see it as a new amazing chapter in gaming.

Just being able to play the mcc games at a rock solid 60 and getting the awesome fh3 at 4k is enough for me!

Oh I've been in since the announcement last year. I prefer many things about Xbox over other systems. I have them all anyway, but I just want third party to be back on my preferred system. Best controller, ecosystem, friends, etc. I'll keep hoping they get their first party act more together, but I'm all about it.

I haven't, but upscaled will be good enough for me until I upgrade.

I got lucky. Came back from a weekend golf tournament. I thought I was a few hours late, but the sales just started as I got online. Bought it 10 mins before getting the email from Microsoft to buy it.

This is me. I have had a xb1 and ps4 for awhile, but still prefer the Xbox for a variety of reasons.

I think they are eluding to the idea that salty folk in the other thread are discounting the importance of PUBG on console (XBOX One), and will do the same and more in a DF thread. Not necessarily anything negative.

10 weeks is a good amount of time! I'll be getting on at launch and wouldn't have the $100 to spare right now.

I had someone say to me in that thread that it would only sell 100's of thousands, not a million. The game that sold 8M so far on PC. I mean come on!

Well, it it is supported on XBOX One family of machines, it should sell pretty well in general. That person is just being negative or blind for their own reasons.

What does any of it matter. Even if you are the only person who buys a One X so what. As long as you are satisfied with your purchase who cares. Same mindset for anything entertainment. If it entertains me I could care less. about others.

Justifying the value of a purchase based one how many other people have it is nonsense. Do you.

It matters. The more people who buy the console the more support it will hopefully get. You want the console ecosystems you are buying into to succeed.

True. But Xbox already has a 30 million deep console base. People are acting like only a handful of people own Xbox's. The ecosystem has succeeded it may not be PS4 levels but 30 millions is nothing to scoff at.

I swear sometimes people talk more then they play on Neogaf and just wait for NPD or review threads for positive affirmation. I don't it's tiring.
