I hope I'm wrong but I feel like Arya has pushed Sansa away for good. She's given Sansa more than enough reason to fear her now. I didn't see Arya handing her the dagger as a show of trust, and I don't think Sansa did either. That whole scene felt like one giant threat. "I know you want to be Queen. If you even think about betraying Jon, I could easily kill you and take your place."

Couple that with Bran staring at trees in the backyard and Jon being gone too long seducing dragon queen's, and I think Sansa will begin to feel like she no longer has a family, pushing her closer to siding with Littlefinger, who keeps promising to give her more power. And after feeling weak and helpless for so long, I think Sansa wants as much power as she can get.

This is what Littlefinger is betting on. And I have a feeling he will win.

It didn't look like as if Sansa and Arya were playing along. Sansa looked legit terrified.

Prediction for next week:
Cleganebowl is happening next week. The Hound will accompany Jon to King's Landing, Cersei will ask for his head as he's a traitor, he will do a trial by combat with his brother. Both will die.

Arya is a kid, she's trained in one form of deception. LF can size up Arya as a vengeful assassin, and devise a scheme to have her play into his wishes. All Arya can do is wear somebody's face and ambush/kill LF outright. Not much cunning, but I imagine that working out.

Dude, she's also a human lie detector. Part of her training was also going undercover for extended periods of time while pretending to be someone else. She's not just a killer.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!

Eh, I feel like the meeting in KL has a pretty strong stipulation of "if anything happens to Dany/Jon/Tyrion then the full force of the Dothraki (and likely a dragon or two) will fuck your shit all the way up"

There has to be more in store for the Mountain than just Cleganebowl. Him being undead has thus far been completely underutilized. Id like to think they're setting him up to be turned by the Night King instead at which point the Hound will fight and defeat him with a flaming sword.

Fan fiction intensifies.

Was there some lore I forgot about why they didn't bring horses on their mission? Do they freeze once they get past the wall?
Honestly, I think this was just because it's visually cooler to have them walking and it's a massive pain in the ass for them to film on horses.

I've got a question regarding the dragons. 3 flew in to kill the dead people, 1 was shot down, but only 1 flew away, and only one was flying around the wall afterwards. What happened to the 3rd dragon? Budget cuts?

Yeah, that raven was hella fast, but the one thing that bothered me was how little emotion Dany showed when one of her children got shot down. I would have figured she would be in complete scream mode, but her reaction was rather cold.

She's in shock when it happens, and enough time goes by when she's sitting next to Jon, that she could have cried her eyes out and then composed herself. She still had tears in her eyes, and she swallows in pain when Jon starts apologising. A Queen isn't going to start bawling her eyes like that in front of company lol.

Hahaha! Did you miss the other flying dragon nope the fuck out when his sibling crashed?

"Mom, I didn't sign up for this shit. Now I know why you only take Drogon. I'll see you back home."

It's a long episode, I don't see why they'd dedicate such a long episode if they just sat and talked and shit didn't go horribly wrong. Cersei is going to try and pull a fast one, lot of people going to get roasted.

i dont know apart from each scene not having little box in every scene with GPS location, exact date and time and summary of all the people on the scene. And to be sure on every line ... possible reference points to pevious episodes .... i was able to suspend my believe petty fine for it to make sense .... and gladly there was not traveling montage which is what fucked the books for me

I like that people angry with those that can't suspend their disbelief at this ridiculous apparently can't think of any better ways of directing an episode to make this stuff better than "GPS locations and time/dates."

You do realize that this is kind of a basic skill a director should have, right? Scriptwriters should take this sort of stuff into account. You portray passage of time through wear on the characters, through believable dialogue, and other cues. It's called good writing and directing. This show used to do that.

This could also serve to increase tension. Now by any standard of research those people were on the ice island anywhere from 2 to 4 days yet the actual direction barely took that into account at all. Have people waking up in shifts. Show increasingly paranoid dialogue. Have them wonder what the ever-loving-fuck is going to happen while the Night King is staring them down for days. Show what fucking happened. That scene could have been amazingly deep and tense but instead they went for cheap hollywood tension.

My other complaint about the episode is that they actually went the other direction when doing the scenes leading up to ice island. You felt like time was passing relatively much, and perhaps because of how quickly time was going in this episode and others that they spend a while out there. The only indication that they may not have comes suddenly when they tell Gendry to fucking run to east watch. Put in dialogue that really discusses this and grounds the character. You could have someone complaining about them spiraling in circles not finding shit while they look for that mountain The Hound saw. Do something that shows they're taking time but not really moving far. Establish what's happening. But no, instead of establishing what's happening and making this all more believable we get dialogue about Tormund wanting to fuck Brienne. Clearly important character development there.

That's why this all feels fanfic level. Because that's what fanfics focus on instead of what matters. Don't get me wrong, Tormund wanting to fuck Brienne is fine if you have the fucking time to do that dialogue and get everything else right. But they didn't.

My favorite in all of this is trying to get a walker to cersi so she believes in the living dead while sir Gregor stands by her side 24/7. Like yeah he was brought back through psedu magic medicine but if this is a universe capable of that it wouldn't be a stretch to also believe in the army of the dead.

And even despite this, no way she even cares about it other than to use it to her advantage. God this expedition was dumb.

Gregor never died, he wasn't brought back to life. People calling him "Zombie Mountain" is just a fan name. He's not a zombie, he's still living albeit barely.

I'm pretty sure they said they brought him back but he's going to be different. That's still within the realm of belief im.on and even if not, see my second point. Tyrion should know his cunning sister will do nothing but take advantage of this makes it all a moot point anyway.

I'm sure you're right, but I could swear there was a scene with him covered by a sheet or something...

Poor Rhaegal was trying his best to help his brother but the second it was clear he was dead, dude got the hell out asap well before Dany and Drogon realized they needed to leave.

You want fucking fan fiction? Look no further with my speculation:

-Both crews meet up and talk shit
-Cersei orchestrates a Red Wedding style doublecross with Euron and the Warlocks
-Tyrion, Varys, and Jorah dies before saving John. "Take care of my sword and my love, yo."
-Dothraki charge and dragons attack king's landing
-Kings Landing escape
-Clegane Bowl motherfuckers
-Another dragon gets killed by Ballista volley
-Cersei and Jamie burn in each other's arms
-Jon and Dany escape.
-Jon and Dany straight-up fuck.
-Ice dragon is seen flying over Westeros
-Bran has vision of Night King on Iron Throne.

If anything this meeting should be dany just offing cersi. It would be the smartest decision given that she wouldn't have to scorch king's landing and would essentially end the war then and there. But I imagine something something moral high ground.

Shit, you're right. I forgot about that! Maybe Arya can abduct LF and get him to answer questions. I'll argue that LF would have mastered the skill of crafting a bulletproof lie by now.

I was going to mention it myself. It doesn't contradict what Sansa said.

What are you talking about? Arya was smuggled out of the city by a man from the Watch, she didn't escape on her own. Sansa was the Lannisters' prisoner.

Sansa had her chance to escape during the battle of the blackwater bay when Hound offered did she not? I'd say it was similar to Arya's.

After six episodes of this season, I'm inclined to believe that no major players that fans like will die in the finale. I'd love to be wrong but it just doesn't seem to be building to anything like that and no part of this season seems interested in axing people who are mid-arc.

Honestly the people on Gaf are a minority and a whining minority at that.

Even when Sansa said she hasn't seen Jon in weeks made me think of all the crying people did about not seeing Jon walk on the road for 20 episodes to get to Dany etc.

Honestly, nah. A lot of the reviews Cornballer posted aligned a lot with what most of us that had issues with this episode were saying.

Is the Mountain actually undead? I thought he was just dying and his current state was the side effect of stopping the poison and saving him.

Sansa's been through an incredible amount of pain and torment. In all fairness, she's got NO IDEA what Arya has been doing. Though yeah, it's pretty presumptuous of her to assume Arya essentially wouldn't be able to handle it.

I agree with you about Sansa/LF though. She's regressing in her development if she blatantly falls for his ploy
There's no fucking way. Arya turned the blade around and gave it back to Sansa. She won't turn her back on family. That's her whole schtick. She's just making sure that Sansa won't as well. I'd be willing to put money on
Littlefinger getting totally screwed next episode.

My only concern with the whole Winterfell plotline is I feel like what's gonna happen is it was exactly LF's objective to get Sansa to send Brienne away. Like even though she thinks she's pulling a fast one on him that's exactly what he was wanting.

It is most likely what LF wanted. He knew Sansa would never listen to him and would do the opposite of what he suggested her to do. I think his ultimate goal was assasinate Sansa and frame it on Arya. That case, Winterfell will fall into chaos which is what LF always wants.

However, I don't think he will succeed. LF had no clue what Arya is capable of. Her spy skills as well as ability to tell "truth from lie" are all unknown to him. I think the moment she read the Sansa's letter she knew it's full of lies. The female associate whom LF handed something to is probably already dead and Arya probably has been wearing her skin for awhile now.

To catch manipulator, you mush play his game.

When Jon returns to KL he will unite them. It's what he's best at. Bringing people together.

I enjoyed it, but in truth, it would have made more sense for Dany to have been at Eastwatch herself from a writing perspective. Hell, she could have flown up Jon, Jorah & Davos on the back of Drogon. That would at least put an end to the timeline complaints (it wouldn't make sense to take the dragons north of the wall for what is ostensively a commando raid). I suspect CGI budget was probably a factor in that regard.

My main thing was where the hell did the Night King get those chains from?

Ugh, knew about the dragon dying from a spoiler.
The spoiler was a recommended video on youtube... Wtf.

Closed youtube as soon as I saw that.
Was hoping that it would be fake.

I never watch GoT videos on YouTube either.
WTF would it recommend me that, with the title of the video being the spoiler.

Just mentioning it so it possibly doesn't happen to others.
Happened a few days ago.

Did Tormund's axe break at some point? It looked like he had a regular axe in the beginning, but when they were fighting on the ice lake, it looked like the blade was mostly broken off of something?

Okay this is where it crosses the line for me. I was glossing over the hollywood crap from the latest seasons because hey, they're still entertaining.

But this is undoubtedly the most stupid episode ever in the entirety of the show.

I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. Just non-stop stupidity.

I'll keep watching but this is not the show I liked, it's hollywoodesque fanfic written by a 19 years old deviantart writer wannabe.

The chains hahahah oh god. And that's by far the least offensive thing from this joke of an episode.

I went from 'could they really all die except Rob's son? Do they have the balls to be Game of Thrones?'

To 'I'm done caring about this SyFy show' in 20 minutes.

Well, one thing is for certain, we don't have all the facts but there were some very fine people among the White Walkers and both sides are to be blamed equally, both sides.

Ok so I pointed all that I didn't like but the following was pretty damn amazing:

The look and how it was shot was beautiful. As always, better than most movies.

Not only is Jon just an amazing character, they always nail his fight scenes. He has the most iconic poses and fights choreography. The dialogue was top notch and I had just as much with the crew marching as I did with the battle.

The music is always on point.

The scene on the ship at the end....yeah I have been wanting this and waiting for it forever, ever since I started to put some of the larger plot together. It was crazy enough to see these two meet earlier, but to actually hold hands - pretty awesome.

Come on D & D - lets nail this last episode and hopefully, they hear some of the backlash and rework the last 6 episodes. Esp if they are to be delayed into 2019.

What? Viserion wasn't his fault. What the hell are you on about?

Yes it was. The dragons cleared out the waves of zombies attacking them, and now there were a handful left coming one or two at a time. Where the fuck was Jon when everyone was on board ready to dust off? Thirty feet away going one on one with zombies. Two days these guys fought off wave after wave of these things, there was absolutely zero reason for Jon to stray so far from Drogon when the small number of zombies that were coming could be handled. They cut to the Night King three times before he brought down Viserion, and one point Jorah was yelling at Jon to come back, but dude was zoned out.

"Heroes do stupid shit..."

I'm looking straight at you Jon.
