Finally
(And please be a true AAA RTS)
(And please be a true AAA RTS)
I couldn't watch the reveal, but please tell me it isn't rife with F2P/GaaS garbage?
Please just be a good AoE game!
I feel like it would be a pretty big departure for Relic to make the kind of RTS I want AoE to be (that is, huge focus on base building and large amounts of units).
I hope they can manage.

Wait aren't Relic developers under Sega
So were Creative Assembly but that didn't stop Halo Wars 2
So are Creative Assembly and they made Halo Wars 2.
Correct. Sega's been letting Microsoft publish games from their strategy teams (Creative Assembly and Relic).
That's a good thing for an RTS.
But I can't get too excited about this after DoW 3. Gotta see some gameplay.
It's by Relic.

I was told a big RTS maker so I guessed Firaxis, but relic works as well
After dawn of war 3 ... not sure if I can trust relic
Proper base building, walls, roads pretty please and no bum rushing. Want to have a real turtle RTS again.
So do Sega gets any benfits from these deals ?

I associate all Relic games since Dawn of War 1 with "those RTS games that favor control points over base building", and that's really not my jam.
I mean, they're not gonna turn Age of Empires into "Company of War: Historic edition", but it doesn't seem to be their strong point.
Cautiously optimistic.
after FFVII remake...I have no faith anymore. Expecting the worst, hoping for the best.Never played anything Relic made but I sure hope they stay true to AoE's mechanics and dont try and change it completely.
