Fucking awesome!
So is that another partnership with Sega after Creative Assembly did Halo Wars 2?

Damn! Bout time!
If this trend continues, maybe, we'll get a C&C reboot in 5-10 years too!

I'm not surprised it's Relic.

If this does follow that picture's format it's going to be WW1 or 2 and Company of Heroes was fantastic.

I just hope that they can keep AOE's identity somehow.

Relic surely is not going to try and 'modernize' it like their last few turds right?

Trailer pretty much hinted that it will be 20th century or something like that.

That's a good thing for an RTS.

But I can't get too excited about this after DoW 3. Gotta see some gameplay.

I'm pretty sure he was waiting for KB/M ability on XBO...

Good on MS giving what the fans wanted. I guess the next time we hear about it will be E3 2018.

I feel like it would be a pretty big departure for Relic to make the kind of RTS I want AoE to be (that is, huge focus on base building and large amounts of units).

I hope they can manage.

Creative Assembly went from making Total War games to Halo Wars 2 on the Xbox.

I'm pretty sure the jump from Relic's games to AoE won't be too hard.

Relic did really well with COH. If they can bring back that magic then this will be gold. I am super happy, have been waiting for this for soooooo long.

I'm really excited but at the same time cynical.

Modern gaming is lootboxes and other paid bollocks. This may just shit on the legacy of Age of Empires.

After dawn of war 3 ... not sure if I can trust relic

I associate all Relic games since Dawn of War 1 with "those RTS games that favor control points over base building", and that's really not my jam.
I mean, they're not gonna turn Age of Empires into "Company of War: Historic edition", but it doesn't seem to be their strong point.

Cautiously optimistic.

Never played anything Relic made but I sure hope they stay true to AoE's mechanics and dont try and change it completely.

So do Sega gets any benfits from these deals ?

Presumably a 30-40% cut of the money made while not having to spend any of their own money.

It's a bad idea if you think your studios will make hits when you fund their games, and a good idea if you think their games will bomb when you fund them.

Dawn of War 3 has only sold about 280,000 copies, so that was probably a major loss for Sega, whereas this will make them money regardless, or at least not lose them money.

Relic is a good dev, not many great RTS devs around anymore... (RIP Ensemble Studios, Stainless Steel Studios, Big Huge Games)

Looks like Big Huge Games is a thing again but no games in Development...

Holy fucking shit, best news ever!!!

I don't care if this uses Windows Store or Games for Windows Live, I'm buying it day one!
Please put it on Steam.
