NBA Offseason 2017 |OT| Only Big Ballers™ Allowed *please pay $495 to be a Big Baller

So why did Isaiah Thomas and the Celtics choose to avoid hip surgery? Would the surgery hinder his athleticism? All I've heard in terms of the two choices was that the non surgery option is a slower rehabilitation process. Isn't a slower rehabilitation process a bad thing? I'm certainly no doctor, but I have suffered a labral tear in my shoulder and I don't believe labrum's ever fully heal on their own.

because surgery potentially has a 12 month rehab process. It's his contract year (and the Celtics were going to need him) so the idea was to avoid surgery and get him back on the court as soon as possible.

In 14 months Ainge has acquired Al Horford, Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving, and drafted 2 top 3 picks. Pretty incredible when you think about it.

It's going to be so weird watching this team next year given the near total roster turnover, and it'll be a little bittersweet. The last 3 or so years with this group was really great to watch, but looking forward to seeing what this group can do.

Seems like most Celtics fans forget this too

Doesn't matter if you think we overpaid, Ainge is doing incredible work.

All this while making the playoffs and advancing further every year, preserving cap flexibility, and retaining young players with room to grow. It's basically unprecedented given the circumstances.

The key, in my mind, is Stevens.

Lol $500k for tampering with a guy who's definitely going to get a max contract. At least make them give up a second round pick or something.

Nah. Bron, George and Westbrook gotta go the Durant route and "take one for the team"

Just wait.

Bron, George, Wade, Westbrook, Rose.... They will all be playing in LA next season...

Markannen was looking really good in clutch time against France tonight, Bulls fans must be happy

And he was sitting on the bench for way too long. Finland has this weird custom that even if you are over the hill and can barely move, they will still put you on the court before a younger and better player. Always been that way.
